Eating at a restaurant with her does give me a small opportunity as I think of myself as a low maintenance customer. Conversely, she has specific requests, and I get to observe how much each restaurant is willing to accommodate. Recently, she will always order a veggie egg white omelette. Absolutely no potato stuff. Calico Cupboard, to their credit, was able to meet all of these needs except that they don't have shrimp lol. Oh, and I guess the English muffin was an extra charge. She liked the broccoli. Anyways, service was slightly delayed, which left my coffee cup temporarily empty. I guess that's objectively a hit on service. Also, she didn't like the look and texture of her English muffin. I didn't try it so I can't judge that aspect, but I guess the cut did look rather "flat" to me for some reason. So these were the, uuuuhh, "impetus," for her to find something else, and she found it on a grape. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of this before the waitress took it to the kitchen, but it was some small....white.....thing. In my personal opinion, I could not tell what it was at all, and it could've been some small disfigured piece of egg or cheese, but she was adamant that it was a "bug." And basically demanded to know why the kitchen didn't clean their fruits. The waitress agreed (or at least pretended to agree) that it looked off and went to the kitchen with it. However, the back of the house was not so easily intimidated and maintained that they did clean their fruits and there was nothing wrong with it. As a result, even though the waitress apologized, we did not get a discount for the "bug," which obviously put her in a bad mood. I did at least take a picture of my own fruits, with the grapes towards the front. But naturally, I was unable to capture the same, errr, contaminant.
