The Birria tacos again, huge portion, tons of flavor in the consommé, birria meat was super tender. Churros were really good as was the horchata. Overall the price def meets the portion size and the lady working the front is really nice and the food comes out pretty quickly, all huge pluses in a food truck. I caught them about a half hour before they closed, but they kindly took my order and told me what they had run out of when I asked, since it was the end of the day. I immediately saw jerk lamb chops on the menu and decided to get those. I was just going to do the appetizer, but then they asked me what sides I wanted and I was like all right, I will just do the whole entree. $40+ it is definitely a splurge, let me tell you... But every element of that tray was fantastic. The planting, the cabbage, the rice and peas, and of course the lamb chops themselves. I got four in the tray. I will say, I would not make a regular habit of swinging by this place at night. This is that awkward Road between Hampton Park and Ritchie, and literally the food truck was the only thing lighting up that space. I've lived in Russett neighborhood in Maryland City for 4 years, and drove by many time, but I never thought about the food truck there. On Thursday, October 17, I wanted to try a new business in my area that I hadn't been as I tend to go to the same old places in Corridor Marketplace. For Mexican food, it's Chipotle (Americanized-Mexican, but is good) & a taco place [Cabrito] connected to the Shell gas station (which I had once in 2021; was pretty good, went on a Wednesday and realized Tuesday was discount day, but wasn't so impressed I didn't feel overly compiled to go back). When I arrived, I thought it was connected to the liquor store there, but I realized it was a food truck. Although they had some outside seats, it was chilly that night plus already civil twilight, so I decided I'd take home. I think I had originally intended on eating inside whatever place, but I didn't care that much. The staff was nice, answering my couple of questions. I got the Carne Asada, which comes with rice & beans as well as a bean pupusa. The pupusa was amazing, and the entree was excellent too. I would definitely return.
