Got a cut and color with Tenzin who is now my queen and I will worship the ground she walks on for…read morewhat she's done. Seriously, she's a master at her craft. While I lived down in RVA, I had someone who was my hair whisperer. I could go see her, tell her to do whatever she wanted, and I would leave with a rocking cut that was always super easy to style, and that lasted. Since I moved back up north to Stamford, I was feeling that loss and was burned so many times that I resorted to cutting my own hair. Tenzin took the time to listen and made doubly sure she understood exactly what I wanted with my color. She's got such a warm and bubbly personality that the time I was there flew by. I laughed a lot. I almost cried when she spun me around and showed me the final product. She laughed at me when I told her I'd never left a salon loving the styling someone's done. There's always that exaggerated excitement because I don't want to be a downer, but I swear that was the FIRST time I felt like a million bucks. No lie. It's been weeks and I still look back at the pictures I took and wonder if that was actually me haha. The summer hasn't been kind with the humidity and my frizz, but the products she recommended have been a lifesaver. Only downside is that she's so great that you have to book in advance. That was a little tough for me because when I finally want to chop my hair, I want it done right then. But the wait was worth it.

I had seen her Instagram and after looking at the amazing balayage pics on there, I knew she was the one I should go to for my first color. She was so welcoming and so patient at explaining everything she was doing, she answered all my questions very well, and assured me it would come out subtle just like I wanted for my first color experience. I immediately knew I could trust her, and it came out amazing!!! I've been happily getting cuts and color from her ever since. I completely trust her with my hair. I even recently ventured into trying out hair extensions for a fun change, and she did (and continues to do) an amazing job on them!!! My close family and friends are so shocked how natural my extensions look and how gorgeous they are, and other people don't even notice I got them, they just say wow your hair looks amazing it's gotten so long, I guess I haven't seen you in awhile! (LOL). That's how natural they look. I have never gotten so many compliments from people on my hair, even from strangers, since I started going to Leeza two years ago! Even before I added the hair extensions I would always get tons of compliments about my balayage! She is amazing! Also from going there I have gotten to know Jerry (the owner) and Anne Marie (his wife who manages the front desk) and they are both super nice and friendly. Every time I see one of Jerry's clients getting up to leave the salon their hair always looks amazing, same with Leeza's of course. Both Leeza and Jerry are very talented for sure. I highly recommend Odyssey salon!

I had never even heard of it. I have had ample hair cut/colored/highlighted/balayage experiences at expensive infamous salons all over lower Fairfield County with very mixed, sometimes horrifying results. The salon industry itself is rife with bravado spewing stylists/colorists. It comes with the territory. So I am "gun shy" you could say. However, I've now been to Odyssey five times and I can say with confidence that they are a very solid professional & talented staff. It's a modest looking salon. But don't be fooled. This salon has weathered 20 years and can boast a long list of devoted clientele. I was very clear about what I wanted my hair too look like. I wasn't coerced to believe that my hair could be transformed unrealistically. Instead, Jerry the owner, transformed my hair with out damage, false promises, or boastfulness but with skill and patience and a chemist's knowledge. He is a master. I am often complimented on my balayage hair. It's been a pleasant experience each time (and not for an exorbitant rate).

My partial highlight, glaze, and blow dry came out beautiful, soft, blended, dimensional, and exactly what I was hoping for going into wedding week. Thank you Noemi

It's always clean, well taken care of, and they offer you a variety of goodies like water, wine, coffee or hot cocoa when you arrive. It's situated on a busier road within Harbor Point. Parking can be sometimes tougher right outside the business, but there's still plenty of parking all around the establishment including a free parking garage. To make it even better - if you're not looking to get your hair done, you can still use any of their other services like massages, or other beautician services such as nails and waxes. Do not have your child's birthday party here. When I spoke to the manager over the phone before…read morebooking the party, I was excited about the fun and activities that were promised. But what I received was completely different. The week of my 7 year old daughter's party, the salon was closed and my emails came back undeliverable. I panicked because I assumed they forgot about the birthday party. I had questions about the hair styling and other activities that was supposed to take place. The theme of the party was Kpop demon hunters and I wanted them to give my daughter a Rumi braid (being that it was a salon, you would think that was an easy ask?). When I finally received a call back, I was never given an answer about the hair. The day of the party, not only were there no extensions (for the birthday girl or anyone else), but the girl doing the hair looked like she's never done hair a day in her life (She even told me she was not a stylist!). She just did a simple braid on my daughter and I was really upset. For some other girls, she put a few curls with a curling iron and did nothing else. I am assuming based on my experience earlier in the week not being able to contact the salon that all the regular stylists were on vacation since the salon was officially closed. Not one of the 3 hosts had any enthusiasm and barely interacted with any of the girls. I had a few parents even say to me that they were very low energy. I think you can imagine how disappointed I was. One of the hosts did simple "face paint" where you could barely recognize what it was she was painting. She also left in the middle of the party - which I thought was very unprofessional. There was also absolutely no structure or flow to the party and everything was free for all. They advertise on the website "Stress-free and all-inclusive celebrations". This party was anything but. I was completely stressed and embarrassed the entire time. My daughter was disappointed about the karaoke. The kids were just grabbing the microphone and making noises. I was very overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. I had to stop the girl from doing hair to play the bingo game that I brought. There was no host-led dancing or other games. The salon had no cake knife or at least something to cut the cake with and the pieces were absolutely butchered. This party was clearly an afterthought and the only nice things about it were what I brought to the salon. It was embarrassing for me as the host and to have other adults notice too. The 3 ladies had no energy and looked like they didn't even want to be there. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I was also ghosted when I tried addressing these issues with the owner.

I never felt rushed and was consulted throughout the process (back check! profile check! center or side part?) to make sure we were headed in the right direction. In NYC, any stylist with Danielle's technical prowess and artistic talent will run $300++ if you get lucky on bargain basement day.
