Amy's Nails salon in Tewksbury is the WORST salon in town.The salon is DIRTY and has unsanitary condition. They don't use disposable liners in their foot spa which can spread FUNGUS and BACTERIA The staff is very RUDE. You can also report this salon to the BETTER BUSINESS BURREAU FOR COMPLAINT . I would not recommend this place at all. Beware of hidden prices - this place is way too expensive. Spent $80 on my basic french acrylic manicure. They charge $10 extra just to add gel nail polish to acrylic nails.. I've never seen that before in any salon since gel is always included with acrylics. Also, the nail tech was a little rude when I asked her to redo my acrylic set which I got 4 months ago. She kept pushing me to do a refill which I did not want since the polish is so old. And then continued to be rude and say she has other customers coming even though we had an appointment set up. The services were not worth $80, I'd rather go to a high end luxury place and spend that type of money. I wouldn't come back here. read more

Absolutely not this place is extremely over priced and they are extremely inconsistent with pricing. They are kinda rude and they nails are not even that good to be charging 80 dollars for coffin shape and two color. Weirdest experience I've had at a nail salon. I was a walk in but they sat me right away to soak my nails. There were 2 other customers in there but I figured since they said they could take me that someone would attend to me soon. I sat with my nails soaking for an hour. In that time, someone came in and they did her nails before me. Sitting there for awhile gave me a lot of time to look around. Everything in there was old. I got the vibe that this wasn't the cleanest place ever. It was then that I decided to ditch my former idea of getting a full set and just getting a manicure. When someone finally attended to me after the hour I sat there, she proceeded to scrape my old nails off instead of using the electric tool to get them off. And boy did that hurt. The lotion they use for a hand massage smells gross but the weirdest part was that they give everyone a back massage right there in the salon which is them basically slapping your back for 10 minutes. When all was said and done, my nails came out razor sharp, the nail polish is streaky and all over the skin surrounding my nails and their nail dryers don't really work so I walked out with wet nails. Also she took no care to make sure my nails matched. All of the nails on my right hand extend past my fingertips and none of the nails on my left hand extend past my fingertips (when I came in they were all long). And none of my nails are straight- they were all cut crooked. They were nice but I won't be going back here. read more

The worst gel nail I have ever gotten. Cut my nails when I told her to just file changing the shape from squared to pointy. Polish came dried lumpy because she kept using a nail nipper to fix her mistakes. Awful. read more

I love this place! I dont get to as much because I went off to college but me and my friend used to go all the time. They remember how you like to get your nails done (short, long, oval, round, etc...). They have a great selection of colors. I used to have acrylics on and I would go to the high end day spas and they still didnt do as good of a job as Amy's. My one problem is they would be a little forceful on getting a design on the nails but besides that I love them. They also have really great prices! read more

My entire family goes to Amy's nails,and have for about 15 years now.There all so sweet,and friendly they make you feel like one of the family. Very thorough,you will never feel rushed,and they'll always fit you in,even if you don't have an appointment.There prices are very comparable to surrounding nail salons. The pedicure chair whirlpools were not working - the lady actually tried jamming the metal nail instrument in the electric outlet and then use that very instrument on me (she dipped it in the blue stuff, but I just thought it was still unprofessional and gross to do that). Before long, all the equipment on one side of the room were not working. There are serious electrical problems in this place. There was no a/c so it was very stuffy and hot in there. The experience itself was "meh" at best. The polishes were old and the colors were very out of date. When it came time for the "massage", they were punching my legs - closed fists! I had to tell her to stop! How is that relaxing and good for your legs??? I've NEVER experienced punching and banging on my legs anywhere. NOT relaxing and NOT a good feeling. Oh, did I mention that they used a drill on my toes? There was no acrylic, soak-off gels, etc. I just had regular polish taken off and then she drilled the top of my nail beds. That's really bad for the nails. Lastly, they make it very, VERY hard to tip. They do not allow you to put it on card. They told me to go to the ATM next door (oh, so now I have to pay FEES just to pay tips on top of my $35 pedicure that was not a great experience). I tried to pay by check so I could add a little something to the total for the lady and the person even refused the check. Was happy with the results of my pedi/gel mani here. I'm still on the hunt for a really clean, relaxing, comfortable atmosphere to relax in that is close to the Lowell area though. They were great to make time for me on a Friday afternoon, but it was a bit weird having my fingers done while I sat to have my toes done... I appreciate they made it work on a busy day, but it was weird. But overall the quality of work was good, lasted a long time, and I'd go back if I was in a pinch. read more

The worst manicure I have ever had! All of my nails were different lengths and shapes. My tech spoke absolutely no English and left me bleeding. To stop the bleeding, she poured acetone on my new wound. (That wasn't helpful) I have been trying to get my nails back to their old groove for three weeks now since this "manicure." Been going here for years, Tiffany if fantastic. I always call before I go in and they make me a priority and will accommodate any request I have. My gel polish always last 2 weeks and is done so precisely (not on my cuticle or missing my nail edge). The owner aims to please, any time I've had an issue she always corrects her staff to ensure her customers are happy....isn't that what it should be about! read more

Getting an appointment is no problem.. there really is no wait. But this was my fourth and last visit. One technician started my nails, filing and sanding (for acrylic) then another girl came over and re-sanded my nails again and in turn sanded right through on my real nail. She did this on 3 nails and they were actually bleeding under the nail. I had to choose a dark color just to cover the blood. I wil not be going back. they rushed and really I shouldn't have had to pay for that. read more
