On one hungry night, I decided to take a chance and order from this place through Uber Eats. To play it safe, I ordered two cheeseburger deluxes with a drink because I feel like it was the most basic thing to get. They allowed you to pick a choice of 3 sauces on the burger, which I thought was quite nice. I was a little skeptical of the place due to the poor reviews, but since it was close by and supposedly it had a low estimated wait time, I decided to go for it. The burgers came, minutes before it was expected to arrive, it was warm with the ratio of burger to fries was nice. They put all of my selected toppings on it, but they left the ketchup out and included ketchup packets in the bag. The fries were crispy outside, soft inside, but not salted. My only critique is that they should include salt and pepper packets in the packaging as well. Overall, the meal itself was pretty decent! I would not say it was the most amazing meal in the world, but for the convenience and quality, I can not complain and will be definitely ordering from there in the future! read more

I work in the health care field and I've seen a lot of dirty things in this store. I've seen the food prep workers leave their station multiply times with their gloves on , touching thing outside then go back to making food with the same gloves on. I've seen the worker working on his bike once outside the store one time with gloves on outside , he then came inside and started making food with the same gloves, once I mentioned something he switched his gloves & got mad that I said something. so just a friendly warning , you gotta watch them make ya food! read more

The person that answered the phone had me repet the order 5 times for them not to get the order right. The cook want to play around and crack jokes instead of making the food correctly after being told the order for the 6 th time. The food is good, especially for a small deli. Their cold cuts are fresh and I have no complaints on that end. During this time of COVID19, you'd expect some reasonable expectations to be met, unfortunately they haven't. We were told deliveries were 7am-7pm. To my surprise, I call on a Monday at 630pm to be told "no more deliveries, my guy left". Fine, I asked to please tell me a good time to order and what their "newer" delivery times are. I am then told "it is still 7-7". The following day (Tuesday), I call at 5:46pm and am again told "oh no more deliveries, the guy left". This time annoyed I ask for a real delivery time and am told again 7-7. If the owner reads this, I ask that you please exercise honesty with your clientele and train your employees to do the same. I guess I'll be ordering from Danny's deli. P.S. I gave it 2 stars out of respect at the fact the food has been good in the past (2 months ago). read more

I ordered from here for the first time yesterday, April 21, 2020. I was craving a Philly cheesesteak sandwich so I took a chance on this place. O-M-G! Their food is FANTASTIC! The best Philly cheesesteak sandwich I ever had! My wife ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich and she loved it. This morning we tried out their breakfast and that too was fantastic. The food is ready quick and it's made with care. I'm often too busy to leave reviews on restaurants but for this place I wanted to make the time to do so. Please, people. Sooooo this spot, I ordered a pretty basic sammich, nothing crazy. Pasta salad, which, I wouldn't have ordered, but they went out of their way to say it was homemade so I thought I'd cave. It was not homemade. Got the wrong cheese on sandwich, at that point who even wants to eat food that was garbage processed shit anyway. Amy's really sucks. The bald man at the front counter, who looks like Yul Brynner's character in "The King and I", is always a jerk and will 86 you if you give him an attitude. Beer and snacks are fair priced, but as mentioned in another review, the sandwich man is lazy as hell. However, I found away around that, I tip him a buck as I place my order and I get great service. I also get at least an extra buck worth of meat so I suggest tipping the dude first. The place is really really really ghetto. Always be ready for a show. There are always people hanging out participating in some sort of illegal activity late at night in front of the joint (no pun intended). I also once saw a woman take a swing at a guy who "was takin to long and made me miss gettin my numbers in". Priceless. They only charge you tax if you pay with a card, which is a plus. read more

We ordered sandwiches through Postmates because it was late and we never tried eating from here before. I ordered ham and cheese on a roll and my husband ordered chopped cheese. I'm picky with sandwiches but this place is amazing. They use yellow rolls that taste so sweet and they slice the cold cuts nice and thin but stack a good amount in the sandwich. It was very neat and tasted so good. My husband loved his sandwich too and said it was very flavorful. We can't wait to try more off the menu. read more

Ordered a bagel and a sandwich and ice coffee for delivery and since they're 5 minutes away I didn't think the food would take over an hour to get here but it did. I was running really late at that point because I didn't expect to wait so long so I tried to cancel the order but the guy assured me it would be here soon. 10 minutes later it shows up, I open the bag and everything is covered in ice coffee. Had to change pants cause of it. Both the bagel and sandwich were ruined, and what was left of the coffee wasn't drinkable because they didn't even give me a straw for the cup. Threw it all out. It's great to have a deli around Queens College to purchase food. I come here to have a different type of sandwich. I usually purchase the BBQ chicken hero. The hero is around $6 which is cheap around Queens College since the school food is outrageously priced. It's a little walk from campus and it's worth the travel since I can have a lunch that can satisfy me till my next class is over. The sauce for the chicken makes the hero moist and tender. It would be great to have some of Amy's breakfast but I always arrive late. The breakfast is also cheap. I like talking to the cashier in Spanish to pick up a few words here and there. read more

I grew up getting things from this Deli, the only thing that's not good about it is the guy that makes the sandwiches, he is lazy like hell and never gets the orders right. Not bad if you need something as they're open 24hrs. Your typical deli and there's usually no line if your looking to get some food. Not bad sandwiches for around $6. I usually always get some kind of a show when I go there. You have the locals there coming in high off their drugs, slamming change on the counter for cigars to roll their blunts, or buying their 2 dollar 40oz beers with pennies and even yelling at the guy who runs the place. This place is horrible, since the owner change the quality went down tremendously. Once the deli changed ownership the business made a complete turn around. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Food is awesome and quick service. Would get 5 stars but the only minor issue is they keep their refrigerators too cold at time and you have to return the milk as it will be frozen. Besides that minor issue(which is rare) this has become the best deli on Kissena. read more
