Moving day can be stressful and not having a well planned estimate will cause issues…read more We were quoted $1,300 - $1500 for two men and a half day. We were asked to send pictures of all our items so they can fine-tune the estimate and make sure they are properly prepared to meet the customers' needs. We followed their request and sent pictures of EVERY item to be moved. Subsequent to sending the pictures the estimator said that after reviewing the photos he would like to add an additional man and increase the time based on his review of the photos. Their proposal was increased slightly ($1,500 - $1,700) (we had no issues with the request), and we awaited their arrival on moving day. Moving day came the workers on the truck were very nice. However mid-way through moving things went south fast. The workers broke an expensive glass bar cart and called to inform their home office. The original estimator then called to say we had more stuff than anticipated and the truck was full. The stuff was exactly what was in the one dozen photos sent two weeks prior to the move. These photos contained all the furniture and all of boxes that we had packed for the move. He then proceeded to state that we "didn't inform them there were boxes to move" (a complete lie). We calmly said two of the pictures sent to you (which the workers on site actually had on their cell phones) have a stack of boxes in the family room and another from the garage. He said well, "people move their boxes themselves sometimes'". Our response was simply questioning why we would have sent the pictures, at their request, if we intended to move them on our own. After arriving at 11:05 and deciding they were done at 5:30 sharp, the movers left over 20% of the remaining contents. They said they needed to move what they have in the truck and "they would come back the next day", but we would be getting another quote for the remaining move. When I questioned the additional quote the gentleman from the home office then revised it talk track to say he would not be able to insure he could come back tomorrow (Saturday, knowing the house was being sold) and stated and he would do it in 3 days (past the date of the house being sold) but the quote had to be signed to get on a possible schedule. He carried on saying "couldn't disrupt his clients already on tomorrows schedule". I guess its OK to disrupt a client by leaving 20% of the job behind. His quote for completing the move arrived the next day and the move would now be almost double the original price! Needless to say we quickly found an honest and reputable company for less than 1/2 of the additional quote from Two Movers. Two days later they sent a final bill for $800.00 more than his revised estimate, bringing the total moving cost to more than twice their original estimated when added to the additional mover we had to hire. We informed them of their error in number of hours billed, and reminded them they didn't complete the job, and that they broke the bar cart. Their response was that the bar cart isn't covered as they were not specifically informed of it in the move list, but they would give me $50.00 for it even though it was included in the pictures we had sent which prompted them to increase the original estimate. They said any items not specifically "written" on the contact were not their liability! The reality is they received pictures of all the items being moved, they double checked those photos well enough to increase the estimate to include an additional man. While we hope for a fair resolution that accurately accounts for actual hours worked and the damage to the property they caused, we have so far not heard back from them revising their billing or received any apology for the distasteful experience Update : The owner called apologized for the stress and miscommunications and we settled on a fair amount for the work they did The owner was very nice and concerned about our experience and perception of his office staff because it's not what the majority of his customers experience according to him My advice ask a lot of questions and list as many of your bigger or more expensive/delicate items upfront so you can openly discuss how they will be handled. Ask about travel timing billing and supplemental insurance for your property

However, after finding another issue after 10 days of being in our new place and finding more and more things broken I couldn't stay quiet. I disclosed all of my items and the multi stop move in my initial Yelp Quote ask, Joe gave me a quote and asked if he could come take a look around to better assess the quote. I agreed and set an appointment so he could meet my husband at our storage unit where the majority of our items where. He was supposed meet him at 11am after several phone calls back and forth with my husband he finally arrived at 3pm. He was able to see both the storage unit and my parents home where we had some items since we were there for 2 months prior to our move. We came from a 2 bdrm home into a two bdrm condo we have nice furniture and the table and couch were set up in my parents basement so he saw everything for what it was. We did not hide anything from him so when he gave us our quote and was lower than the other two of course we agreed knowing he was insured and had other great reviews. He sent us the contract we secured his services and he stated he would be at the storage unit between 8-10am. That morning my husband called him at 9:30 when he still hadn't heard, Joe stated he would be there in about 30 mins. After an hour my husband asked again to find that they were stuck at another job and since it was hot they would just come after lunch so they could get a proper break. My husband then got the call they were on their way when they finally arrived to the unit it was just after 2pm. They loaded the truck which took about 1.5 hours. They then told my husband they needed a break and were going to grab some drinks before meeting at my parents. Nearly an hour goes by and my husband calls them to see where they are to find they went to our new place rather than my parents house. My husband drives to our new place and allows them to unload to then come back to my parents. Once there they realized the truck was too small to fit all of the items so they packed what they could and headed to the new place again. At this point it was getting very late. At 10:30pm I called my husband to ask where he was when he stated the guys were still moving items into the new condo and they were dead tired. Which I'm sure they were, my husband gave them a generous tip and allowed them to go home once the truck was empty but since they took so long and did not set anything up, which it states in the contract they would, I had to sleep at my parents house in the spare room which thankfully had a bed!!! They never came back to finish the job so for the next several days my poor husband spent driving back and forth between my parents and our home to unload bins and boxes. He was forced to set up the couch, bed, tables and dresser himself. I am pregnant which is why my husband was so involved and frankly I wish I had paid closer attention to the whole move because here I am 2 weeks later fuming because so much was ruined. As stated he was lower than other bids by about 300-400$ which looking back on now I would have gladly paid since now the warranty on my $2800 mattress is void when he severely ripped it! That doesn't even include the rest of the items! So please know you get what you pay for! It asked how many boxes we had per room in the Home! 1-10 was the only allotment we had several boxes in each room. I was honest!

He kept asking me to change our pickup day and time. Each time I told him I couldn't change my plans. He could have simply told me it didn't work for them, but each time he'd say OK and I would confirm the day, time, and location of pickup at the end of the conversation. Then the next day he'd ask me to change it up again. When the day finally arrived, he texted me at 6:45 am and told me they were going to be almost 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Again, at no point did he disclose there was a pickup window. He had confirmed our appointment on multiple occasions. It almost ruined the whole process because we were picking up our item from friends, so I couldn't just randomly change the plan with no notice. Kareem was rude to me on the phone when I called him about this and said "things change". Then he billed me an invoice for our balance due before the job was done and texted me about payment. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

There was also absolutely no communication with the owner. Even after we texted and called looking for them. They didn't finish moving us until 930 at night and didn't even put the beds together. They scratched my grandmother's piano, my dresser, my dining room table, my TV stand, they ripped the back of my sofa and a mattress, and added some dance to my brand new refrigerator. We heard the owner complain about not seeing his kids many times through the day while they rushed moving all of our stuff. Very unprofessional,siderate, And cheap. You get what you pay for. I get that's not their problem but I wasn't told their was a 4 hour window till last minute. Would I use these guys again? I'm not sure I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that the office staff are good people and are just stressed out because of COVID-19, but I'm not the only person thats complained about their attitude so maybe that's just how they are. How can my order already be in process if they just opened up??? Ultimatly all the heavy items did no get moved. What they did move for furninture was damaged and getting a refund was impossible. All of a sudden the communcation turned bad. We received non of the great care we had in the start. They will convince you to sign up for expensive insuranc eand they either forge or slip in the "inluded" barley covering insurance at the end. Either go with another company OR get a U-Haul and move it yourself because that's what you will have to do anyways.
