Tony from AMP Electric is a licensed electrician who installed 6 LED 4' strip lights in my basement, installed a new smoke detector, and set new outlets in the kitchen to bring electricity in my house up to code. He also repaired a broken GFCI outlet. The work was done to the estimated price. He came on time, explained what he was doing to me, and I am just very happy with all the work he has done. He will be back after the kitchen backsplash is installed to adjust the outlets and change them all to GFCI. He will also install new recessed lighting in my study and sort out my electrical panel so I know what each breaker controls. I was careful in selecting the company taking the trouble to get 5 quotes and checking references and licenses on DORA. Lee Morrison who runs the company and provides the quotes is also a pleasure to work with and both Tony and Lee are good guys who cared that felt safe and liked the work they did. It wasn't an easy thing to light out our basement dungeon but boy they managed. I had some really horrible experiences with tile work at my home so I was very cautious. The AMP quote was close to 1/4 (!!) what the highest quote was. It takes a lot of time getting all these quotes and checking all the references and licenses but I can tell you if you don't the time a botched job takes is a multiple! I gave Lee a big list of what I needed done, including changing out outlets in two rooms, adding GFCI outlets, and getting the ring doorbell to finally work right. He gave us an estimate of the hours it would take. On the day of the appointment Lee called before our appointment and told us Tony could be there early if that was okay. It was, Tony showed up early. He was friendly, explained anything I asked him about, and completed all of the work plus a couple other things in the time that Lee estimated. Whenever I find a really good contractor, I keep their name and phone number for future work, and to give to my neighbors when they're looking for a good one. Amp should be ashamed of themselves. I built a brand new house that I moved into in February. Yesterday 5/26, my air conditioning stopped working and when the hvac crew came from another company they saw a fuse was blown to the unit. They went to see why and upon opening the box outside smoke was pouring out and the wires were on fire burnt about 95 percent through. The gentleman immediately shut off the power for me as he said the house would have soon caught on fire. I immediately called AMP as they were the electricians who did all wiring for the house. At 2:20pm I was told I would get a call back shortly. Keep in mind it was 95 degrees outside and the inside is now at 85 degrees since we can't run the air conditioning because of risk of fire from the electrical issues. No one from Amp ever called back. I continued to call everyone I could and the home builder finally got Amp to agree to send someone today, 5/27. So because they fail to care or respond to emergencies we sit in a burning hot house, got no sleep and feel unsafe. Never use them if you have the choice! Not using them might just save your life and your home! read more

I set the appointment with the owner Lee Morrison (Master Electrician). He showed up on time and was very friendly to work with. The job turned out to be a needle in a haystack to find and figure out. There is no way an journeyman electrician could have figured this one out but Lee's persistence persevered! He found the issue only through years of knowledge on how to rule out one thing after another. Who would have ever thought that my electrical issue was all the way in the attic and under insulation instead of the other 20 spots that it should have been. He found it and fixed it! From the start, I have been thoroughly impressed with Amp Electric. My husband and I recently bought a house and needed our hot tub set up (220 v), a couple exterior lights put in, and an exterior outlet installed. We had two electric companies come out and Lee, from Amp Electric had great ideas for hiding the wiring while the other company wanted to run conduit all over our patio. Not only did he have a quote to me the next day but he was BBB certified and was less expensive than the other company that also came highly recommended. We weren't able to set a firm date for them to come out because our hot tub hadn't arrived yet, but Lee was very accommodating on finding us an appointment once it arrived. On the day of our appointment, I was very surprised when three electricians arrived! They were so professional and had everything completed by EOB, except for reattaching a cable box I asked them to move. Earlier in the day, I asked their advice on a breaker that kept tripping. They offered to replace it for free since they had to come back on Monday to reattach the cable box. I had expected the entire job would take two days, so I was quite pleased that they were generous enough to throw in the extra work as a kind gesture.
