Even though the job was small, the design was so nice that it made our yard the nicest in the neighborhood. When we sold, the yard was the reason we got asking price, which was over 40% more than we paid for the home. That just didn't happen back then. Moving forward to 2018, we found our dream home and we called on SLD once again and they knocked it out of the park. This time on a much larger scale. The job consisted of new plants, shrubs, bushes, trees, sidewalks, and even an actual cul-de-sac. They re-graded my over half acre yard, installed front and rear drainage, a 14 zone sprinkler system, and even cut in a beach entrance to my pond. I saw a couple of other reviews that talked about the owners being arrogant or whatever. It's not arrogance, it's confidence. They are very good people. When I have someone do something that is so important and cost as much money as these type of jobs do, I want someone who knows what they're doing and Stewart Land Designs is that company. They do amazing work and I couldn't recommend them more.

(I've since moved to a different lawn service provider, who charges only $20, doesn't inundate me with billing emails and shows up on schedule without fail.) My 2-star rating is based on their office staff and billing techniques. I have been billed several times for service when no one actually showed up to mow on my scheduled day. (I have security cameras and confirmed each time I received my bill when I knew I should've only been charged for 1 day as opposed to 2 because the crew didn't show up on whatever day as scheduled.) Additionally, the office staff sends via email an invoice AND a monthly statement at the end of the month, but not on the same day. This is overkill and ends up becoming a nuisance when both the invoice and billing statement includes the option to pay on both the invoice and monthly statement and contain duplicate information. It would be better suited for customers to send only the detailed billing statement at the end of the month to keep it simple.

Jesse at south texas foundation repair is not truthful about materials he uses. For example, he…read morewill tell you he is going to use steel shims like you asked. When you don't see them and ask why he'll tell you that he could only use them in a few places but he used them where he could. When you call him out on that lie after finding zero steel shims he says he doesn't like to use them. What kind of excuse is that? He will also tell you he's coming back in a few weeks to finish what needs to be done but never shows up. Sure, he'll text you and say he's sorry he didn't make it out as promised but he's definitely coming next week. Good luck getting him to honor any warranty he gives you. I don't recommend giving him your business.

They made it right though and redid the portions that needed adjusted and reinstalled. As far as the master bathroom granite, they suggested I use a remnant to save money. I got a deal I am happy with. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I had to make myself available to be home more than necessary. They have done a good job and I will continue to use them if I decide to put granite in other bathrooms.

Oh and wants to charge us for replacing decking and raising the area that sags. The only reason he came out to even look was because of this review. We had been trying to get him out here since Oct of last year. All the while our house gets further damaged.
