Luis helped me pick out stones and what tree would work best. D&G is extremely professional and offers all of the extra little technological touches (like email/text appointment reminders, clear quotes provided in a portal, follow up instructions on how to care for your new landscaping, etc.) that make your business transaction very smooth. We had a great experience from start to finish. They created a design that wasn't over the top but…read morewill still fill out beautifully with color over time. It matched exactly what we discussed during our visit at the house and really brought our vision to life (and they were reasonably priced compared to all the other quotes we received). They helped us pick out a great tree for the front yard and did an excellent job with the planting. They also installed a whole new front flower bed (with trees, shrubs, and decorative rock), removed the old vines on the back fence, and handled tree maintenance quickly and efficiently. As a bonus, they were able to offer sprinkler system services and run water from an existing line over to the new tree and get the system back to functioning which should make everything seamless with the constant watering schedule needed on the beginning. The only hiccup was that the pool was left a complete mess after removing the vines next to it the first day. However, we messaged Noe (the lead) and he came out that same night to make it right. We really appreciated how quickly they addressed the issue. The only delay in the entire project was with the faux vines that were supposed to be replacing the live ones -- but that wasn't their fault. The supplier only shipped half the order. They were professional about it and didn't request the remaining payment until the final portion was completed and they came back and completed it when promised. Overall, I would highly recommend for anyone needing any type of landscaping done.

I was happy with the first job so I hired Miguel for the second job. Almost immediately, the firs he planted started dying. I contacted Miguel before the expiration of the 30 day warranty and he came out and adjusted the sprinklers. The plants continued to deteriorate. I contacted Miguel again. He told me to be patient - the plants would come back. They continued to decline. Miguel then told me it was from lack of water so he adjusted my sprinklers 3X the original length they originally ran. If it was a water issue, the monkey grass and the gardenias would have been dying as well. Miguel continued to skirt the text messages, emails and phone calls. When I sent him a very direct message, expressing my surprise at his unwillingness to even discuss this with me , he stated that (1) I had a pool; (2) someone watered the plants; and (3) my sprinkler system was outdated. Someone please tell why having a pool or someone watering the plants he said were dying from lack of water has anything to do with the price of tea in china and he NEVER mentioned before any issues with my sprinkler system. In fact, at the onset, he made recommendations for some sprinkler adjustments, which I authorized and paid him for. A horticulturist and a gardener have since told me that the ball root was not released on the firs prior to planting so the plants could not root. I asked Miguel for a "friends and family rate" to replace the firs. I never EVER asked him to replace them for free. (And yes, I have all of this in writing.) Keep in mind that Miguel (sometimes referring to himself as Mike) finally advised me that it was beyond the 30 day warranty. It was within the 30 days when I initially reported the problem. Miguel lastly responded that he is busy until JANUARY and chose to "pass" on the job. Seriously? I told him I was very disappointed with his response and thought he had more integrity. Wow - just wow. Avoid this guy - so very unprofessional, unwilling to stand by his work and just unethical.

The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.
