Ordered : -Pretzel with beer cheese & mustard -Caramelized onion dip with home made chips -Side of home made chips -2 lemon drops The bottom of the pretzel was hard & overdone. The cheese had a skin on top. I would have hoped it would have been served warm = freshly poured. We didn't mention that. We were too focused on the overdone / bad oil chips. I was looking forward to taking them home. The chips were overdone. Too brown, and anyone who eats chips would know this. The oil probably needs to be changed, too. After a while, server (#2) stopped by (that took quite a while). We requested new chips. No problem--he understood that. "We're a team, I'll take care of it". After a while, #1 happened to stop by. We were waiting on the chips, and my friend ordered a red wine. There was a conversation about which wine. The chips never showed up. We headed back downstairs after looking into our off property dining options. Azriel greeted us immediately and was friendly and attentive. We noticed other patrons eating, but we felt like going on an adventure for food. We made small talk with him and he gave us a few suggestions since we didn't want to dine at the steakhouse in the hotel. I had some Don Julio with lime and tajin. It's not often I actively seek out a hotel bar, but Amourath 19 inside the Hyatt Regency Sacramento is definitely an exception. If you're crawling (or stumbling) your way along K and L streets, this is a must-visit stop. With plenty of space and an open, airy feel, it's refreshingly clean and doesn't have that "packed sardine" vibe you find at other places nearby. The bar staff is fantastic, and finding a seat has never been a problem even when we're slightly tipsy and probably louder than necessary. The team is super friendly, always happy to chat, and somehow patient enough to humor us mildly inebriated patrons. They have an impressive selection of drinks, and occasionally they offer a special where the bartender whips up a surprise concoction (always an entertaining gamble). I've enjoyed everything I've tried here my go-to is usually an Old Fashioned, but their margaritas and espresso martinis have also been spot on. Definitely worth stumbling in! read more

It's convenient because it's a few steps away from the event. I sat down and waited for at least 20 mins before I ordered. We finally asked if we could order and staff apologized that everyone came and left at the same time. I totally get that but staff could've at least acknowledged us and could've said 'I'll be right with you'. I watched staff walk by multiple times and didn't bother to say a word. A HIDDEN GEM Located in the Hyatt Downtown Hotel, this upscale lobby bar offered us an alternative to the busy restaurants. Although not an extensive menu, the "Bar Food" was more than we expected. Our server Jennifer was most attentive while our initial party of 3, waited for our Two additional guests flying in. Jennifer made sure we were given time to order our drinks, served with a smile . She explained the menu, even making suggestions. Once our guests arrived she started the process over for them. The Manager Ke assisted in the delivery of the food. Great food and hospitality. We were never rushed . Desert was great trying the German Chocolate cake, Carrot Cake as well as Gluten Free Cookies. Food orders available until 10 pm and bar open until midnight. Do not come here if you are in any kind of rush whatsoever. When we arrived, it took a few minutes to be acknowledged before finding out we could seat ourselves. Several of the tables were waiting to be cleared and the rest were taken, so we seated ourselves at a table with minimal trash on it. After waiting 30 minutes to place our order, it then took nearly an hour for our food to arrive - including the appetizer we ordered in hopes of having food sooner. Even the drinks took a while to come out, which we sipped on as we watched our food sit on the counter waiting to be brought to us. By the time I got my fish tacos, the aioli had crusted over on the fish - unpleasant to say the least. The fish tacos were unimpressive, the chips were stale and accompanied by flavorless salsa, the old fashioned was mostly syrup, and the regular fries were mediocre at best - definitely pay extra for the sweet potato fries, it's worth it! The BLT, chicken tenders, and Cobb salad were all decent. I cannot say I'll be back - the steakhouse down the hall is definitely better in terms of service, quality, and timeliness. read more

She was quick to make sure I got my drink and order placed without having to wait too long, even though they were extremely busy due to an event. We have spent many an evening in the bar, and it's almost always a great spot to drink. Cocktails are usually great. Servers and bartenders are friendly and fun. This visit, we had lunch for the first time, and I can't believe we haven't done it before! SO good!! Two of us had fish tacos and one even did a second visit the next day to get them again. I started to write this review, but there's not much to complain or rave about. It's a average hotel lobby bar. Many specialty drinks that are also embellished in every chain restaurant or hotel. The service was kind and curt. Servers just getting it done with business folks in town. There was not a regular local crowd, which you'd see in other big cities.
