I had them cater my 80's-themed 50th birthday party (yes, gag me with a spoon, I'm 50 now!) and I am still dreaming about that paella. No joke. It was, like, the most delicious thing I've ever had--major yum! Victor was an absolute dream to work with. He sets up a phone meeting a few days before the event to go over literally everything--like which meats, seafood, and special goodies you want in your paella. He made it so easy and chill, I didn't even have to stress. And believe me, I had enough on my plate with planning big hair, neon outfits, and Rubix cube centerpieces! When the day came Victor and his son Lennon (aka the totally profesh and rad sous chef) showed up with props perfectly themed for the party. Like, full-on 80's vibes--it was everything! Not only are they super professional, but they're also super engaging and fun to have around. Now let's talk about the paella--because OMG. Not only did it taste absolutely amazing (like, flavor explosion in every bite), but it was also so beautiful! Seriously, it looked like a work of art. My guests were freaking out over how totally tasty and pretty it was--and then went back for seconds, thirds, and maybe even fourths (no judgment). And, OMG, they made so much food! Not in a weird way--just in that amazing, "I get to eat this again tomorrow and the next day" kind of way. The leftovers were, like, the best gift ever! I highly recommend SGV Paella for any party or event. Whether you're turning 50 or just throwing a party to, like, celebrate your cat or something--do it. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and your guests will be talking about it forever! 10/10, would paella again. Totally tubular, totally tasty, total gorg, and totally worth it! --A forever fan with big hair and a full heart!

Chef Peter is the real deal. I contacted him to cater our firm's holiday party this year. From…read morefirst contact to the two months leading up to the event, he was responsive and kind. He worked with me on a menu and he delivered my vision. Even with extreme circumstances (another vendor broke our garage door 24 hours before the event) Chef Peter and his crew took it in stride. They were on time and hauled their heavy equipment in and got straight to work. He was basically cooking/grilling on one side of our building (back patio), having to run back forth to the interior kitchen and sink. He and his crew worked SO hard that night. They are very professional. Every plate was perfect, they cleared the tables and made sure everything was spotless when they left. I also hired Jacob the Bartender (he works with Chef Peter) and WOW! Crafted cocktails and excellent service. Every person who was late to my party was sat and had a drink in their hand in less than a few minutes. Jacob was a pleasure to work with. Great bartender. I could not ask for a better duo for the night. Also big thanks to Tomas and Erick - their waitstaff. Amazing night they pulled off. I'm a perfectionist. Type A host. I'm very particular on how I throw my parties and Chef Peter surpassed my expectations & more. My entire firm will not shutup about how amazing the food and service was. The party was a hit and I believe it was because of the food & bar. I will 100% hire this team again for future events.

I then hired him to cater my birthday last month, and he was fabulous! I think most of us get stressed when we host a party, and he went above and beyond my expectations, making it so I didn't have to worry about "hosting" and managing my kitchen. I was able to ENJOY my party! From how he set up everything, his professionalism, joy in what he does, the variety of sushi he put out, the deliciousness of it all, his organization...and the food just kept coming, waves of goodness! My guests were stoked, not one complaint! He even asked, prior to the party, to know if any guests had any food allergies or food restrictions, to make sure everyone's needs were met. He was fun, energetic, and presented the food perfectly! I highly recommend hiring him....especailly if you're a sushi addict like me :)

From the jump, she had an understanding and friendly approach which was very helpful as I scrambled to get the logistics of everything else together. I gave a few ideas of Grandpa's favorites and then she did all the rest. The resulting 4ft grazing board was incredible. The youngest generation had fun trying new items all over the spread and making great combos to hand out to adults. Raspberries filled with honey on a harder cheese, blueberry chèvre with some nuts on top, even mixing meats and fruits in all manners of whacky ways. It reminded me of all the times I helped my Grandparents arrange and then serve the veggie + dip platter hors d'oeuvres. The food was incredible, but what really put this over the top for us is that it brought back old and created new good memories for my family. And that is the ultimate tribute to the man we were celebrating. Thank you Alesia!!

The menu looked extremely intriguing with a creative blend of Latin American food as well as Middle Eastern food. What was really interesting is that the mail takes place in a home. Chef Wendy explained that they are the first home kitchen permitted by the health department. I did not know about this permit, but find it absolutely wonderful. It's also a great way for talented chefs to manage timing, budget and other specifics. The night we went there were a couple of friends assisting her in the kitchen and with photography of the evening. The house is large and comfortable as well as tastefully furnished. The table settings matched the theme of the meal. There are other events, besides the chef's tasting menu, including a tea service, which I would definitely like to try. All parties met in the garden and we were promptly served pomegranate citrus, mocktails, as well as lamb or vegetable dumplings as an amuse bouche. The chef explained that the fusion of the food comes from her Latina heritage as well as her husband's Persian heritage. The male also had some Turkish touches. Since the menu is posted for reference, I won't go into a lot of detail. The heart of palm vegetarian ceviche with crispy plantains with a fresh and flavorful start to the meal. I truly enjoyed the chicken El Pastor style tacos, which were served on Middle Eastern bread, along with an onion, herb salad, and toum, the fantastic garlic spread. All flavors went well together and I did not miss the salsa. The salmon truly had a crispy skin and worked wonderfully with their fragrant rice dish. I got quite full before this steak came out and asked to take it home after tasting a few bites. Even after heating it up the following day, it remained extremely tender and did not overcook. The chimichurri sauce was fantastic and the chef left the sauce at the table to add more. I don't particularly have a sweet tooth, but was extremely impressed with the dessert. The Tres leches cake was enhanced with cardamom and rosewater and sprinkled with a pistachio dust. Some of these flavors can taste perfume me, but the chef balanced it so well and had a light touch with the strong flavors. The cake itself definitely stood out. I finished every bite. The mint tea at dessert as well as the pomegranate drink served throughout the meal were extremely refreshing. The groups were split up among three tables and the table I sat in was in the dining room. The guests were extremely lively and interesting and overall I had a wonderful time.
