I have a Generac home Generator that crashed on me over two months ago during our last electric outage in Killeen Tx. The yearly service contract was also up for renewal. The serviceman was new, Carlos was his name. He did not seem to know how to repair the Generator, and was on the phone talking to someone at Generac for help. He was told to break the fan out to get to the part that needed replacement. The unit was under extended warranty. This guy could not seem to fix the generator we asked for a new generator since this one had broken down twice within the first two years. Carlos contacted Generic and started the process to get a new generator, he all but promised we would get a new generator, but it took over 2.5 months to get an answer. Generac decided this generator should be fix. Carlos came back out and fixed the generator in 3 hours. Now if the generator could be fixed in 3 hours, 2.5 months later, why couldn't it be fixed back then? I lost all confidence with this company. And frankly I was surprised Carlos could actually fix the Generator. Time will tell. I am looking for a new company to do my yearly service contract. Also a big problem was that they would not provide the paperwork as to what the serviceman did until I asked for it. So I had lost confidence with Amos Electric a long time ago. read more

I give them ONE !! Unbelievable weird unprofessional folks. Huge on BS! The reason for the one rating is due to good parking. First visit.. i asked 8 questions...the lady answered them all with "I have no idea". Visit two.... employee bad mouth fixture and said she would try to get warranty and call me. She NEVER did. Some items are priced, but most have a sticker placed over the price. Visit three.. i asked price on two items i was interested in. She told me all inventory was on website with prices. I asked her to please look and she said no...it was closing time. Visit four... i told her i wanted to purchase the items that i had been looking at. She said she would have to check prices??? and see if she had to add freight to prices??? And although she was sitting at computer, she said she would call me in 3 days. NEVER called. Experts at not selling something and totally no credibility or business acumen. Shop where you can believe what you are told. read more

Beyond GREAT! I called in the morning due to several surge protection outlets and also a switch outlet. I was really worried due to the fact it was not just one issue. I was put on a standby call list. They told me if at all possible they would try to work me in. It was around 3 pm and Tommy arrived. Great service, had to call to schedule the service after the consultation but got it done quickly and when I needed. The fellow that did the consultation was a Master in his trade which is what I appreciate...too many are OJT and not truly skilled at their trades in today's world. If you've ever had electrical problems (scary), you know what I mean. Pricing is very reasonable, and service is great with this company, and who I will use from now on. Absolute over charging! The work was good but they are crooked in the billing. Had a service done to a Genrec generator. A two quart oil and filter change. They billed $350 and require a year service plan subscription. Replaced a battery in the unit. They charged $168 for a battery that costs $130. It took about 8 minutes for the replacement and they charged $166.22 labor. Crooks! So a oil change and a batter for a small generator they charged me $698.41 Like I said................crooks! read more

In Sept. I wrote a review in Sept. and as of Oct.14 I wish to correct the statement about Amos electric slow response . I am on my third new General Electric wall combo oven and It is defective . I have discovered that Amos was not a fault for the slow response the problem stands with General electric . Amos said that once the unit is sold they have very little control about the service .Amos electric offered to meet me at Home Depot and buy me another unit if I wished .Note I called GE service on Sept. 14 and they gave me a Sept. 28 and the oven has never work since it was installed approx. 1 1/2 months ago again this is the third new oven .My advice stay away from General Electric brand . To my surprise and complete delight, the service couldn't have been more polite and personal. I had set up an appointment with Heather, and she had my budget and list of needs ready and waiting. Most unhappy!!! The work was fine but the trust and customer service is highly suspect. Less than :30 minutes of work (replaced light 2 switches) for $95.00 excluding parts. (There were two of my personal workers at the house and I have phone records to back-up the time frame.) When questioned about the amount, the worker justified it by saying that it is company policy to charge for the time and mileage to and from each job. This is a peculiar practice for a company. It should have been stated up front especially when there was a four-hour-window of waiting expected of the customer. To add insult to injury the technician (who obviously knew his craft and did a good job) felt free to spend time on personal calls while the work was being done. To be fair, I was called back by the company. The call just made me more mad and was peppered with justification for the costs. I finally refused an offer to pro-rate the amount that the job was really worth because I was made to feel like I had to beg for some clarity on the situation. Not good. At the outset (when I made the appointment) I was clear when I stated that we'd be needing a lot of small repairs over an extended period of time.
