After walking around the streets of Paris in unbearable heat, these cute flower ice cream cones were the perfect little dessert to end the night with. They were also one of the last establishments to be open until late hours. Employees were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of vegan options to choose from. For example, their regular ice cream cones were vegan (the chocolate-covered ones are not), and there were 7 sorbets at the time of my visit that were also vegan. To top it off (literally *and* figuratively), they even had some vegan macarons! I got the glace classique with mangue, citron bio, fraise, and melon, sorbet, and topped it off with their lemon verbena citrus macaron. Even though the sorbets did not have dairy, it was super thick and creamy --almost to a point where I wanted something lighter to cool myself off! Came here just for the charming gelato rose art ^_^ This little chain boutique offers gelato, drinks, and other sweet treats like waffles, crepes, macarons al gelato, and dolci. You'll easily come across one of their many boutiques in the city. I got three different flavors for my petit comet gelato rose (3 euros -smallest size), but you can combine as many flavors as you wish. I'm usually not much of a fruit flavor gal, but the raspberry gelato flavor was my fave flavor. The gelato wasn't covered under metal lids, which is generally indicative of a lower quality gelato. I can't vouch for how natural and fresh their product is. Overall, the gelato wasn't spectacular, but it was good. Not bad. Once again, I was honestly more concerned about the rose art :p Great presentation and service with a smile. read more

We went to two different Amorinos a total of 4 times while in Paris. It's not that it's particularly spectacular gelato, though it is pretty good, but because it was crazy hot when we were there and it really hit the spot. The line is bizarre. At both locations, you pay up front, and then go specify your flavors. While weird, it's actually a good idea. Your gelato doesn't melt this way! Makes perfect sense. The flavors are plentiful. I didn't ever see anyone ask for samples, so we never did, either, sadly. But I can definitely vouch for the vanilla and salted caramel. If you want gelato right after getting the famous L'As Du Fallafel, there seemingly is an Amorino gelato shop on every corner nearby and there are several of these shops in Paris alone. It is a small shop but they have a good sampling of flavors and their emphasis is on elegance and presentation. The three flavors we had (stracciatella, pear, and mango sorbet) were not bad. I would however recommend not doing stracciatella if you want your gelato flower to look beautiful. You need to use solid vibrant colors. It was good overall (a petit comet size is 3 euros - menu and sizes included in photos) and I like you can get multiple flavors at once but I honestly was not blown away. Nor was I all that impressed with Berthillon either and that is the creme of the crop in Paris according to most. Still, if you want your gelato to come out looking like a beautiful rose of three different flavors is gelato or more, this is a neat shop to stop by to satisfy your sweet tooth after savoring the popular fallafel in the Marais area. 3.5 stars rounded up for excellent service and execution. read more

Not knowing what flavor to choose, I asked to sample a few. Both the espresso and mango flavors were bold and stood out, but I wasn't sure which one I wanted. I also liked the pistachio, but I finally settled on the mango. Me: I'll have the mango in a cone. French girl: What else? Me: I get more than one scoop?! How many more flavors can I choose from? French girl: As many as you want. I will make them into petals. I make rose for you. Amorino is a gelato chain in Paris, but I am certainly impressed. Super delicious gelato and they have a bunch of locations throughout Paris so you are bound to find them on a corner somewhere. I ordered the "petit" size and it was definitely enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. I asked how many different flavors you can get, and they told me I could get as many as I wanted. I chose coconut, passionfruit and mango. All three were good when combined into a pretty flower since you are able to get a little bit of each flavor every bite. Service was good and they do let you sample a few before you decide on what you want. read more

The ladies behind the counter were very nice and helpful. They helped us in English which was a great help. We tried to speak a bit French out of respect. The usual... bonjour, merci, etc. I had a petite cone, two flavors of chocolate nutella and pistachio. This was by far the best gelato I have had. The pistachio was outta this world. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy tourist abuse. Snide sneers and eye rolls are common while they take your money. There's much nicer folks at the ice cream place around the corner. The visibly annoyed woman behind the counter who sneered and mocked me as i struggled to dig for the proper change was so obnoxious even Parisianers in line were appalled. If you want gelato but you're in France and not Italy, go to Amorino. Yes, its a chain but its 10 times better than ice cream! You've got a choice of about 20 flavors (my personal favorite is l'imitabile which is basically Nutella) and you can get at least 3 if not more flavors and they scoop them in to the shape of flower petals, cute. Most of all, delicious! You can find them all over Paris too, so go, get some delicious! Here's a tip, you get in line to pay first. At the register you order if you want a cup or a cone and the size then pay and they give you a receipt. Then you move along to choose your flavors, when the next available person to help you is ready they'll take your receipt and then you tell them the flavors you want, then you enjoy your gelato! There's a minimum charge for credit cards and its usually more than the cost for one person so to make it easier on yourself go in with cash. read more

The only thing I don't like is that if you are waiting in line...for 15+ minutes and it's closing time, they will shut the door in your face. I am writing this review as a pre-caution for people who will someday visit this shop. Pay extra attention to the clerks. They will jack you up with your change. My husband's gelato was 3,50 Euros (small size) and mine was 4,50 Euros (medium size) so the total was 8,00 Euros. I gave the clerk full 20 Euro bill.. expecting I'd get correct change. I am positive, she knew I handed her 20 Euros. In my mind, this place will not cheat me. Amorino is a reputable gelato company. But no, the clerk. went.."viola"... with my very small 2 Euro change.. and she proceeded to something else. My jaw dropped opened in disbelief.
