Excellent gelato and great service! I was pleased by the many options they had. The shop is obviously small, like most gelato places but it's perfect for on the go! It wasn't too crowded when I came here.

Why 5 stars? Because this ended up being one of our favorite stops in Paris. --- --- --- As we quickly came to realize, this is a chain, but we absolutely loved it. It reminds me ColdStone - not because the ice cream tastes similar, but because ColdStone is also a chain that happens to make some of the best ice cream. Massive restaurant chains usually see their food quality suffer, and I'd assume it's because things have to be frozen and shipped cross-country... but ice cream certainly doesn't suffer from that same issue! We ended up ordering a couple things from here and loved both. First, we started with macaroons that had ice cream in them, instead of the typical cream/frosting. It turns out, ice cream makes everything better! It'll be hard to ever eat a macaroon again without wishing it was filled with ice cream. The wife ordered an ice cream cone that was simply amazing - one of the best tasting things we had in Europe. Seriously. They even made the ice cream into a shape of a flower on the cone - tasty and artistic! Amorino, we need you in the U.S. Make this happen!

I went here all the time when I was in Paris! It was solid gelato. It is a chain, but I really liked it a lot. They make the gelato into roses, which is so cute, and you can get it topped with a macaron! I got the stracciatella, pistachio and Nutella. My boyfriend got mango, raspberry and I think a yogurt flavor I'm not sure, topped with macaron. Dependable. Reliable. Nothing spectacular. Just some good gelato.

This ended up being one of my favorite spots in Paris. Once I discovered this place I went everyday until I left. The gelato was absolutely AMAZING. I got the hazelnut chocolate and mango flavors. The employees were always kind. Currently wishing they had a location where I live haha.

Very cute dessert chain specializing in gelato, brightly-colored candies called bonbons and my favorite mid-day snack, goufres (warm waffles w/ toppings.) I've gotten two goufres from here (€4.10), each time topped with nutella (the French luv nutella) & thick, wonderful whipped cream that they whip themselves. BF has ordered gelato in a waffle cone, which they fashion to resemble a rose with its layers of (edible) petals (see pic.) Tonight I took a few bites of his Madagascar vanilla gelato (€3.50) & it was super flavorful. On our first trip here, he ordered gelato sandwiched in brioche, but didn't care for the flavored syrup (rose water?) they douse the brioche with. Clean, comfortable, close to the Jardin du Luxembourg, friendly staff (sometimes bumpin' French hip hop). Good stuff!

Daughter's back after 1/2 day's recovery. Redness and swelling are down. Damn you, Amorino!

Son's hazelnut gelato in the shape of a rose was exceptional, as was husband's shake with the cream and cherries.

The tea shop on the second floor is absolutely adorable and really should be on any pastry-lover's bucket list (ditto if you are into tea houses). Calm, refined, and civilized, it embodies everything that "tea" should be. Mom ordered a pot of tea and she deemed it delicious (she is often disappointed by hot tea--it is rare that we find an establishment that makes it properly). I ordered the hot chocolate with chantilly, and it filled me with mirth. (Warning: it is a dessert unto itself. This is not the insipid cocoa that comes from powder in an envelope. Imagine a cup of chocolate truffle, and you are about right.) We both ordered the plaisir sucrée, and now I need to go back to Paris to take a pastry class. Definitely come here for a special treat tea.

It was a cozy and intimate setting and overall a great experience. Of course, the macaroons were amazing! Loved that the cappuccino came with their logo on top of the foam. And they gave us 2 scrumptious Laduree chocolate squares, which was a nice treat!

Fou isn't a large space, really only enough for a queue to form and the staff to stand behind the counter. Unlike a traditional pâtisserie, there is no baking done on premises here. Instead, they import bakes from other pâtisseries and pastry chefs and sell them here. They had a good selection, with each having a label that tells where it came from and/or who the pasty chef was that created it. We decided on three pastries and a slice of cake - they were running a special where if we ordered three bakes then we could get a fourth for a discount. Each of the bakes were quite good - my favorite was the lemon which had great flavor while also being intricately decorated. Overall though, all our selections were high quality. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I had a good experience at Fou de Pâtisserie. It's a great option to get Paris' "greatest hits" from all over the city.

All the gorgeous pastries have signage indicating the maker of the treat. I visited this location as well as the location within the BHV on Rue Rivoli while I was in Paris. They both offered a lovely selection of treats! The caramel brûlée pâte à choux was quite possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life - a sweet caramel cream filling and a crispy brûlée sugar top. I also tried the pistachio tart (salty, not very sweet) , the pear and almond tart (very fresh, not super sweet, and gorgeous), and the chocolate praliné tart (very rich, dark, and indulgent). Overall, this is definitely a patisserie that I will seek out on a future trip to Paris!

This spot at the Carrousel du Louvre is a full service shop that gives out samples and allows you to build a box rather than just grab a premade assortment from a kiosk. I say this because we walked all over on our last day (wanting to make our own boxes) so we found out where the full-service shops were. The people who work here are very patient and kind while you make your selections. And of course, it's fun to sample the decadent merchandise. I highly recommend the Maracuja (dark chocolate w/ passionfruit pulp ) or the Salvador (dark chocolate ganache w/raspberry pulp). We made the mistake of turning our kids into chocaholics so we had to pay the price and bring them both home a box. Couldn't forget one for ourselves either. Each box comes with a handy picture guide so you can identify the merchandise. Or just pop one in your mouth and be happily surprised.

The BEST!!!!!! Oh…read moreman! I will start by saying that I don't even like macaroons in the United States. They are just dry and nasty most of the time lol But in Paris, I decided to give them a try! And I am glad I did. They tasted so good! Seriously, they were delightful little treats. The inside of the macaroons was moist and flavorful, while the outside had a nice firm texture. So good! I almost ate an entire dozen of those by myself! lol My fiancé was not super motivated to try one (probably because they suck in the US), and I kept telling him how good they are. Finally, he tried one and was shocked at how good it was too! They are not cheap. But worth it for a decent macaroon. I can't eat macaroons in the states now lol Ruined me for life. lol
