In a quest to find a unique cafe near Mizner Park this place was the perfect addition to the area well equipped to combat the commercialized coffee shops. Met with the high-spirited owner, Ana, who greeted us and provided an instant feeling of comfort. The gelato cart was positioned near the front door and was offered samples of a few different flavors. The strawberry had a silky smooth texture and a sweet taste that lingered at the back of my tongue. Ana could see the appreciation in my wide eyes and proudly emphasised that she made all the gelato by hand in her kitchen in addition to the variety of pastries and traditional Italian meals. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We brought our puppy today and he was given a bowl of water by Ana with a few gentle chin scratches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He also enjoys fresh food which was obvious as his nose was up in the air taking in multiple deep whiffs of the Italian goodies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outside patio seating was offered but too humid today for that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ana used the double cap chrome espresso machine to press the Italiano Kimbo coffee grinds into a beautiful floral print porcelain cup (see video). Ana brought the medium roast espresso to our table. The tiny cup straddled a matching floral saucer with a mini stirring spoon. Loved the bold taste and its roasty scent. These little touches go a long way and enhance the total experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The gender neutral bathroom was clean with light gray tile floors and pink walls which provided a relaxed ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hours of operation are limited to 3pm and closed on Sunday. I saw an ad for Amore Caffe on Instagram and gave them a shot. They call themselves an Italian coffee shop and bakery. The porchetta sandwich was delicious and filling (I'm not sure if they have this daily). I hope the next time I stop by they give me another one as heavy as this one was. It wasn't cheap but I enjoyed it. They are located off of Federal Highway. There's plenty of parking and they have both indoor and outside seating. I stumbled upon this place because I go to the chiropractor in the building behind it. They have beautiful salads and crepes and of course coffee. We wanted a nutella crepe with fruit but they didn't have any fruit (go figure) so when we said how much would the nutella crepe be without the fruit - they said the same price. That kind of struck me as odd. $12 for the same thing. So we scratched that and ordered a few pastries with chocolate for the family and brought them home. This small restaurant on the east side of federal highway is an undiscovered gem. But not for long! It's only been open about a month and a half... We stopped by for an early lunch. But they open in the am for breakfast: coffees -- expresso, cappuccino, latte, et al -- juice, too. Plus pastries like their Italian croissants and Italian donuts. Check the case at the front for what's freshly made. For lunch, they have sandwiches, salads, and even several hot dishes. The staff was very helpful in choosing our selections. We both chose sandwiches on ciabatta. There are five different bread choices. And over a dozen varieties of sandwiches on the menu -- plus check the board behind the counter for additions. I had their "parma" which was prosciutto, mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, and basil. I requested some balsamic on the side. It was a wonderful choice! And such a large sandwich that I only ate half -- saving the other half for later. My husband ordered their portofino with mango and prosciutto, arugula and balsamic glaze. The chef/owner suggested adding tomato, too, which he did. My husband said his sandwich was five star delicious! He also took half of sandwich home. For dessert, we shared a bite of tiramisu. Wow! This new Italian cafe has some great offerings! I had the Portofino Panani on House baked Ciabatta bread. Plenty of parma, cheese, mango and tomato with Balsmic glaze. Delicious and convenient! I love this cafe. It's located in a plaza so it could be easy to miss. They have a new owner so the menu has changed a bit. But definitely stop by if you're in the area. Stumbled upon this place in the Sanctuary Shoppes by accident, boy was I missing out! This place is lovely, very clean and cute inside. The owner is wonderful and kind. You walk in and it smells like baked, fluffy deliciousness with that pleasant cappuccino smell you can't walk away from. If that doesn't get you, their displays of baked goods and flatbread pizzas are enough to make you drool. First and foremost, their cappuccino is one of the best I've had in Boca Raton and I'm a coffee snob! They have a wide variety of sweets ranging from Bomboloni to conchiglia to sfogliatella! I ordered the Iced Cappuccino, Parma on Ciabatta, and finished with 2x Sfogliatella (1x cream custard and 1x chocolate). The Parma panini was nice and hot, although I wanted it on focaccia, the staff member told me they only had the ciabatta.
