History
Established in 1998.
Our humble beginnings occurred over twenty years ago. The founders, Laura Armstrong-Goss and her brother, Del Armstrong, were both working different jobs. In rural Pennsylvania, where they grew up, Del re-discovered wonderfully skilled Amish crafters and approached them to see if they would be open to selling their furniture in his new hometown.
The business grew because customers embraced the unique designs and high quality pieces. In the early days, Laura sold the furniture at local craft fairs from the back of her of Volkswagen & Ford Econoline camper vans. Today, Amish Craftsmen Guild II is a family business located in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, owned by Laura Armstrong-Goss and her husband Bud Goss.
The furniture is now constructed from sustainable, environmentally-friendly PolyLumber. We are proud to offer traditional as well as very unique designs in outdoor furniture and living spaces, all made here in the USA with the hands and hearts of Old Order Amish crafts men and women.
Meet the Business Owner: Laura A.
Bud Goss and Laura Armstrong-Goss started their business with the support of their family in 1998. They have a hand in every aspect of the Amish Craftsmen Guild from designing the furniture with our Amish Crafters, transporting furniture and collaborating with our customers to design their outdoor dreamscapes. Along with their daughters Amanda & Stacie, their Grandson Gabriel and the support of their daughters' spouses and children they have been able to grow and support their community by supplying quality, hand crafted fully assembled, sustainable outdoor furniture, creating jobs and donating many pieces to local non-profit organizations. Their goal is to be socially and environmentally responsible while staying close to their family roots and sustaining a part of American Culture.
