When cabinet's installation was completed, a fair amount of adjustment and improvement was necessary, but Tad was nowhere to be found. He has not been returning our phone calls or answering text messages. Only the pressure from our general contractor made him come over once to fix just one of many problems. He promised to come again to finish the rest of the work soon, but we have not seen or heard from him since (6 months).

It was not a complete kitchen…read moreremodel - I had my walls/cabinets painted, replaced the countertop/sink, and added a backsplash. I am mostly happy with the overall result of the project, and the cost was more affordable than other businesses with whom I discussed the project. However, I will say the process to get to the final result could have been much smoother. NSKB's communication was lacking. From the beginning of the process when I was working with the designer to pick out finishes, I would have to reach out myself whenever I wanted an update because I would go weeks (sometimes over a month) without getting any information. When I did reach out, I usually had to follow up multiple times before I finally got an email back. I was told a start date for my project, and then when I reached out with a question later the designer mentioned a different date. The change had not been run by me or communicated to me. Had I not reached out myself, I wouldn't have known until they showed up that morning to start. The painters had to come back multiple times for touch ups after finishing the initial job. They got paint on my under-cabinet lighting and hardware because they didn't tape around or remove them; they just painted around things. Paint was spilled on my floors and the NSKB team was able to clean it up a majority of the way, but there is a permanent spot that is darker than the rest of my floor. The team also lost two pieces from hinges and were not able to hang the last cabinet door. It took NSKB almost 2 months to come back and find a solution after I followed up with them multiple times. Overall, the project that was supposed to be completed in early December ended up taking until the end of January.

Jonathan did an excellent job with our tub and surround…read more Our acrylic tub cracked, so we needed help immediately. Jonathan was easy to work with from the start. He put in a temporary tub fix to prevent further issues until the new materials came. He suggested a good material for the surround (Durasein), which has been easy to clean and more attractive than the other options we considered. He was also flexible with the non-standard options we wanted (like a heavy cast iron tub) and the non-standard size of our shower. Once the job started, he was careful and considerate, cutting materials outside and keeping doors closed to reduce dust in the rest of the house. He checked for mold and structural integrity. He stayed on or ahead of schedule too. The finished bathroom looks so much better than what we had before. I no longer cringe when I go in there, it's easier to clean, and everything is water tight. I highly recommend working with Jonathan!

It took 4 visits to make our final decision, but we were always treated very nice. Fixtures can be expensive depending on the builder and plumber, so you need lots of options. Absolutely terrible company. We purchased a duplex that already had cabinets from this company. The…read morecabinets are of poor quality and were put in poorly (multiple gaps, mismatched colors where they tried to fill gaps, in the attached images the staff notes how the piece in question was improperly installed). We ordered a replacement piece under warranty on January 3rd. After multiple communications we discovered our order had never been placed and the person we had been communicating with had quit. The order was then replaced though it took months to receive communication that the order had arrived. We actually had to personally follow up multiple times to figure out if it had arrived. When we went to pick up the order the staff told us we would need to pay $150+ for the product even though this had never been communicated with us and we were told the replacement piece was covered under warranty. We provided proof of this via multiple written text and email communications though they refused to cover it under warranty and demanded payment. On top of all of this it took more than 30 minutes for them to locate our product in the shop. They had never linked our order with our address and had misspelled our name entirely resulting in this prolonged wait. It is unfortunate as they recently merged with Bliffert Lumber where we are routine customers (have purchased baseboards, gardening supplies, tools and more). We will never shop with either company EVER again as a result of this terrible customer service and product. Stay away! This place is awful.
