I was driving past Amigo's yesterday afternoon and decided to stop and give it a try... they have a drive-thru and I had our baby with us so it was really convenient. I had the fried pork burrito bowl with pintos... Delicious! Today we (me and our baby) returned at lunch time to a full parking lot. Looks like others have discovered this 3mo old restaurant. What a find! Fresh, authentic, great quality. My meal tonight was excellent. I asked for Jalapeños on the side and got the answer I was hoping for -- what kind? It's my litmus test for a legit Mexican food restaurant and your options better extend beyond pickled. Amigos offered up fresh or roasted in addition to pickled. So I was sold before my first bite. The steak tacos were fantastic and served solo allowing me to add the right amount of cilantro, lime, onion and with a fantastic red salsa. Also had the queso blanco and chips as a side. Dang good. Wish there was a 0 rating! My previous review was taken down. I have eaten here once before and it was mediocre. Was grabbing something quick on the way home. The owner was extremely rude to my girlfriend and i. We ordered an acp with a side of cheesy rice and there was no cheese on either. I politely asked if i could get a side after driving back after i got home because i live fairly close. Would not recommend eating here. Terrible owner and the food wasn't great either. I would take your business to Mi Pueblo in king. 0 stars. WOULD NOT SUPPORT RICARDO OR HIS Establishment if you value where you spend your money at all! read more

I have visited Amigos several times, now, and have never had a bad meal. Don't leave sopes to eat the next day; the meat juice soaks in and makes then slightly cake-y. Always order the cheese dip..... Oh. My. Goodness. I try to get something different each time. The tacos are fabulous. You can actually taste the toppings working together. This is not a soy-based, over-salty Taco Bell taco. This is real flavor, of real meat and fresh toppings. The sopes are so tasty, and piled with toppings. The chimichangas are stuffed and so filling. The refried beans, rice, chips, homemade tortillas, *everything* is so good. read more

We were here recently for their Taco Tuesday - chicken or ground beef, hard or soft tacos for $0.99 at the time of this review. Our waitress was SUPER duper nice... loved her! She brought out some chips and salsa, and we ordered some cheese dip. We ordered both the beef and chicken crunchy tacos, and when they came out and we om NOM NOM'd them down. Husby and I liked the chicken more than the beef, but both were good. The chicken was extremely tender and perfectly flavored. The tacos came with lettuce and cheese. The place was busy, but not packed during this time, and our waitress was busy keeping everyone's drinks filled and checking in on everyone. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that our meal included free dessert - sopapillas drizzled with homemade dulce de leche sauce and topped with some whipped cream. OMG... so good. I don't like sweets, but even *I* liked these! Regular menu prices seemed reasonable, and we are looking forward to coming back! read more

We ordered 2 entrees online via Grubhub and when it came we were missing one of the entrees. We then called Amigos to see if i could come and pick up the order that was missing. My wife called and the people we spoke with denied ever getting the orders and then started cursing at her. Small, simple little business with some pretty great food. Usually jUst a couple guys working there who are straight to the point, get your food made pretty quickly and fresh ingredients. Taco Tuesday is definitely a must, I was very impressed. Definitely worth giving a try. I didn't give it five stars only because they aren't very easy to understand sometimes, and there isn't really any dedicated wait staff, but very nice other than that. read more

So this was my first time eating inside of this restaurant. So we got in the restaurant around 12 and got decent service to start with. After we ordered it all went downhill. Took 40+ min for us to receive a cheese quesadilla hard and soft taco with rice and ACP. Tables that came in after us got their food before us,when I went to ask about it "it's coming out right now" we got our food and not once did the waiter ask if we needed more chips or refill our drinks. WORST SERVICE EVER. I know they are busy and I am very understanding to that but when you don't even refill a drink then that's bad business. The owner or manager doesn't care because he just said "We busy" and really don't care what we think or if we come back. All it would have taken is a little communication and maybe refill the chips or drinks at least once. We did not ask for much but was treated like we were a nobody. I have already told multiple people about it and will not be back. I wasted 30 bucks and over a hour waiting. So it looks like I can scratch this Mexican restaurant off my list to try. All I heard was excuses and not once was did we hear any apologies but we are slammed. It's all about the money here!! Looks like from what we noticed they wait on their friends but if you are not a regular then good luck. First, I don't know what the people below were saying but when you walk in you can clearly see that you have to walk up to the counter to order, I'm not even from here and knew that. Second, this place is smack'n, you want some smackable food, this is the spot. I've been driving over an hour to get here every Tuesday for taco Tuesday and have always ordered a feast with multiple other additions and sides and never broke over $20 and that was for 2-4 people every time. ill write as i eat. we come in and it is more comfortable than the previous occupant had it. i believe it is the owner who greets and seats us. very nice guy. we talk mex food for a minute. he surprised me by having barbacoa and lingua on the menu. i asked if he had cabasa and he said maybe in the future. rather than just chips and salsa they serve pico also. i got the barbacoa sub (torta) and my son (who never eats his food) got the very reasonably priced supreme taco with shredded chicken. he finished the whole thing. i almost finished the massive torta. the owner, Ricardo, seems like a nice guy, he knows how to treat guests, he knows how to treat kids. it was a really good meal and experience. i hate to say that the location is a bit of am albatross as the previous 3 establishments have gone under. i hope the same fait doesnt follow this place. they have real good food...and its a half mile from my house. i cant gripe. if you get a chance come up to King and get some really good mex grill grub. i want to see this place do well because the food and people are solid. What a treat to drop in and have a surprisingly delicious midafternoon meal. The menu looks like most every other Mexican restaurant menu in the area, with way too many variables. But the burrito of tender, tasty and lean pork, with fresh Pico de gallo, salsa verde on a homemade tortilla, served with a substituted side of refried pintos was really good. This place was such a surprise. We would drive by it a lot and just keep going. One day we decided to try it and WOW. The service and food was unbelievable. The best Mexican food I have ever had. The chicken they use for their tacos, enchiladas, etc was phenomenal. You get free chips and salsa. The salsa is perfect. You also get free desert things with homemade caramel sauce. The waitress was very friendly and was very efficient. We continue going back. Either on Taco Tuesday or 99 cent beers on Fridays. Its great they have a drive thru too. read more

We have eaten here previously and have always enjoyed. Came by on Taco Tuesday. It was myself and 2 kids. We all got 2 taco's a piece. Except for me, I had asked for supreme on mine. 2 hard tacos. Got ready to pay and there were 0.99 like it was posted but my 2 tacos were 7.98... Needless to say, I was not very happy. I have had taco Tuesday in the past and got the same thing and was only charged 0.50 extra, which I would have been perfectly fine with.. But almost 8.00 for 2 tacos. No THANK YOU. And the waitress was not very friendly when I mentioned to her that I had no idea that it would be that much, that I was used to the 0.50 extra and she just said, "I told you extra " and walked off.
