I had the pollo portosino, which consists of pieces of grilled chicken cooked with bacon and topped with cheese sauce. It also came with rice, refried beans and tortillas. The flavor of this was pretty great. Good salty bacon came with it, and I like dishes with tortillas on the side. The rice at this location is very good and has plenty of flavor. Another family member had the Mount Airy special, which is basically a chimichanga (chicken in this case). Chimis are always a good meal, and this was no exception. Overall, the whole table was pleased and we came away with our to-go boxes and a smile on our faces. I've been to a few of the Tlaquepaque locations and this one is up there with the Pilot Mountain NC location in terms of food for sure.

We were seated at a sticky, filthy table -- it felt like dried soda had been left on it for hours. It took 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive, and even then, multiple entrées for our dinner party were missing. While our waiter seemed like he was trying, the service was chaotic at best. He yelled out food orders and frantically passed plates around the table while sweating bullets. When my chicken sandwich finally arrived, the ciabatta bread was clearly stale, the bacon was overcooked, and the only thing I could taste was canola oil. The fries were cold, and tasted of Canola oil, and easily the worst I've ever had. My husband ordered the double bacon cheeseburger, took one bite, and couldn't finish it. We both felt nauseous for the rest of the evening. I don't know how a restaurant can get it this wrong, but this place was truly a disaster. I would never recommend eating here. Just go to king kitchen.
