Orders nachos app and all was stuck together and running sour cream. Also ordered a simple quesadilla and not sure what I got.

This is supposed to be Tacos de Birria but it is not.

They gave me totally different then what I ordered and Also they gave me food poisoning. The meat in the supposed to be Birria tacos taste like barbecue and It also made my nephew very sick. I definitely do not recommend going here it is TERRIBLE.

Look at that PORK! Juicy + flavorful

I came here here a few years ago to treat my mom on Mother's Day, to avoid making reservations and receiving sub-par service. It worked. We enjoyed our meal, the service and said to each other that we needed to return. We did. I did. And it's GREAT. In classic Mexican restaurant fashion, the food comes out very fast and very hot and I don't care how. Rice, beans, cheese, tortillas and sauteed peppers and onions are all over the menu and in different forms. The menu is HUGE and the prices are very very reasonable. This last time, we got the enchiladas casas (or something like that) and coyote something or another. Basically, both dishes are enchiladas topped with pork. I have to tell you something: I don't like enchiladas. At all. I don't do corn tortillas and the red sauce is definitely not my favorite because it's usually too acidic and does not match with the enchilada fillings. All of my doubts about enchiladas were erased this day. The sauce is deep and rich, the cheese plentiful and the pork juicy and flavorful. The complimentary chips are warm, the salsa is chilled and the furniture is bright and festive. I think I really have a deep affinity for this little restaurant! Monte De Rey is now my Mexican restaurant of choice. I'll return here again and again without question.

Ok....so I was pretty pleased with Monte upon my FIRST visit, but I waited upon visit número tres to review...are you ready? Cuz herrrre we go!!!!! The restaurant- located in a seedy Walkertown strip mall, BUT ownership has gone beyond the required to "class it up." Furniture is Gorg and hand painted/imported from Mexico! Trust me, you will want a picture of dining tables! The staff- we are strong endorses of Tony, Oswaldo as well as owner Fransisco. We feel welcomed as well as valued. The food- wow! Everything from your basic gringo hamburger and fries to authentic Mexican Platillos Mexicanos. I have had the Monte Nachos Rey (grade a) Burrito California (a+) and fajitas nachos (a) Great location, amazing food and superb staff. Check them out. And say Karen and Brian sent ya! ps as of this writing big beers 2.75 daily! What's not to love?!?!

So to start off there was a customer who warned us and said all his stuff was wrong and he had waited forever for it and he had to bag his own food that was supposed to be "to go" however we stayed in a whopping line of 1 other person despite his insight which we def looking back on it should've listened! Well it took them 20mins+ to get my order taken due to taking an unimaginable amount of time to place an order and you could tell she either hadn't been properly trained or was scared to death of the short black manager working who clearly doesn't know anything about customer service! She argued with me that because it wasn't in the book she couldn't do anything about it but she did recognize Terrells name and said he wasn't a manager I showed the picture shown and she huffed and puffed and agreed to comp it. Then the rest of my family decided to order after my honey bunches of bitch experience and the black manger complained to them saying nobody was trained and she was having to do everything etc as if it was my family's fault? Then a women came in from the Drive-thru line and said she had been waiting for 10mins and nobody had helped her! Her and the black manager had a cussing match and she left as well so just in my experience from 12:40-1:30 on 6/24/23 that's 4 different customers having issues just from this so called "manager" who didn't have a name badge which matches her customer service so well! Bottom line there's so many other options to eat At definitely go there this was an absolute terrible experience for me and my family visiting!

We continually had to drive around the building in search of a parking space. Several of our employees were from out of town, and they were concerned about getting towed. It took them over 20 minutes to find a parking space and another 15 minutes to walk to the restaurant, as the entire parking lot was full. Next, we ordered from their extensive menu, which offered plenty of options. The waitress was fantastic and the food was fresh. The place was packed but clean, and we weren't cramped in the building. For the amount paid for eight people, it was worth the visit and likely a revisit.

(3.25 stars) Casual dining may be declining nationally, but…read moreevidently Sixty Six Grill didn't get the memo. It's in that same TGI Friday's/Ruby Tuesday/Applebees tier, yet its full parking lot suggests brisk business. The location - it sits on a busy stretch of 66 - may explain some of that though Sixty Six isn't without other virtues. Spacious and well-staffed, Sixty Six isn't the kind of place where you'll have to wait long to find a table or receive food. It's dark and a bit noisy but not headache-inducingly loud. The menu is decently large, boasting everything from apps and wings to burgers and sandwiches to Tex Mex and pizza. There aren't any real surprises, but there's enough variety to accommodate most diets. For our lunchtime visit, my wife and I split a fried pickles app followed by a jalapeno burger (with sweet potato fries) and a Nashville chicken sandwich (with chips), respectively. Admittedly, the fried pickles didn't make for a very attractive-looking plate. Instead of golden brown pickle chips, there were thicker, lightly battered slices. However, they tasted just fine and paired well with a zesty dipping sauce. Speaking of zesty sauces, the chicken sandwich had it aplenty, and it made for a satisfyingly messy bite. The chips were homemade and rated above average. Unfortunately, Sixty Six overcooks its meats. Under all the sauce, the chicken itself was a bit dry. My wife ordered her burger medium well and received it well beyond well done. As with the chicken, it was still flavorful despite the doneness issues. On food alone, Sixty Six isn't a strong draw, but factor convenience and versatility into the mix, and it becomes a solid lunch option.

I didn't realize that I'd not written a review of this fine seafood spot for quite a while now…read more This is the premier fried seafood spot in triad area in my opinion, stretching from Mebane to Mocksville, from the Virginia line in the north to at least Salisbury in the south. I stop in here for lunch at least twice a month. This is a family operation that began in 2006 when George Paloumbas remodeled a John Deere dealership building, turning it into a casual seafood restaurant, that at the time was in the middle of nowhere. Despite the location, the restaurant prospered, attracting folks from Burlington to Mocksville, and north to the Virginia line, south to Salisbury! Jimmy Shipman, the current general manage, had been a customer for a number of years, often dining with his grandmother. He started busing tables there about 2015, married George Paloumbas' daughter, Maria, in 2019, and was made general manager in 2020. He guided the restaurant through the Covid time frame by concentrating on providing efficient take out orders. He had to hire someone to direct the traffic, it was so popular. This is certainly a family and community operation - a number of the employees have Been there for years, and much that the restaurant sells is sourced in the region. Seafood from Todd's Seafood in Thomasville, and deserts from Cake & All Things Yummy. I almost always get fried seafood, although the Broiled Captain's Platter is very nice as well. The wait is worth it. The onion rings are good - I forgot to request extra crispy, but since I didn't finish them, I took them home and used the air fryer to rewarm them the next day. Man they were greasy (thank you air fryer for caring for my arteries)!!! But very crisp like I like. I'm not one for a lot of batter in my seafood, so I opted for the salt & peppered version. It's a lot lighter and tastes good seeing it is the only seasoning you'd need on fish. This visit I opted to try the broiled jumbo shrimp with my combo (with an up charge) and I'm so glad I did!! I think next time I'll get a broiled platter and skip the fryer! Seasoning was delicious!! #OldBay Looking forward to another visit soon.
