My girlfriend got the Midnight Mocha with almond milk and they swapped the dark roast for their medium blend no problem. She loved it. The warmed butter croissant was a simple but solid addition. Staff was genuinely friendly too. Apparently the owners had a coffee shop in New York before the pandemic and brought that energy out here to Santa Monica. It shows. Love Coffee Bar is a small charming locally owned coffee shop in Ocean Park, Santa Monica. They primarily serve Counter Culture as their coffee roaster. And on their menu they have modest selection of coffee, tea and specialty drinks. Similarly, they have mugs, tote bags and merch for sale. This coffee shop has spacious interior layout and minimalist artful design. And have dog-friendly policy which was definitely a plus. In addition, they have free wifi and abundant of natural light which makes this shop a good spot to hangout. They have rear outdoor patio for customers that crave fresh air and sun. I perused their menu and ordered a hot Flat White and Iced Coffee. Both drinks were splendid! Smooth and rich in coffee bean aroma. Staff were affable and highly competent. Prices were slightly higher to similar drinks. Street parking only. Collectively, this is a good coffee shop. Overall, I highly recommend LCB if you're in the area.

Fun fact: This converted garage art gallery coffee shop is Harrison Ford's old property. (not fact checked but this is what we were told) It was Valentine's Day and the owner's birthday. Cute Venmo QR code put out by staff to encourage bday tips. Birthday decorations. Small space for indoor seating. A couple benches outside along the sidewalk. More of an order to go kind of spot. I ordered the mocha and it was the best cup of coffee I've ever had. It was well balanced espresso, rich and delicious chocolate, with the perfect touch of sea salt! Love how cute it was served. He made a cute latte art heart and then topped it with chocolate shavings and salt in front of me. 10/10 presentation and 11/10 taste! To top it off, I enjoyed brief conversation with the barista while I sipped my mocha. He was so welcoming and friendly with everyone in the place. It felt very communal -- the no WiFi, no laptop policy made perfect sense when you witness how dope the vibe is in there.

It was so unexpected and unapologetically different that I felt like I'd stepped back into the 80s, when people actually engaged in analog life. I've never described coffee this way before, but it was smooth, balanced, and completely unoffensive in the best possible sense- no bitterness, no harsh acidity, just easy and enjoyable from start to finish. The vibe leans almost speakeasy. Intentionally undigital, very human, with music spinning from a record player in the corner. It's the kind of place that quietly forces you to slow down without telling you to. Safe to say, I'll be back. I can easily see this becoming a regular spot for me.

The couch here is comfortable but sadly, you can tell that they've been very worn down since there is big spots that sink you right in. Lovely decor nontheless and there's a pretty good aesthetic going on. Prices are pretty reasonable!!! Parking lot across from this spot. Also the ladies here kind of belted out their laughters very loudly even though they are in the corner and it can be disruptive, but it's alright. It just happened very often, even when they climbed upstairs, so it kind of changed the ambiance but nothing too bad. As of now I would probably not want to come back here again, but I would possibly be open to joining a friend here to chill.
