We learned about Amici's when we attended our first local bridal show. They were doing a made to order pasta bar. It was delicious!! This is when we met Kiki. We talked to him in depth about our wedding plans and the amount of guests (400). He assured us that they would be able to accomodate such a large crowd without having long lines!! We took their information and later that week, we contacted Amicis via email. We spoke with both Susan and Sylvia via email and had all our questions answered. We were then invited to their "date night." I HIGHLY recommend that anyone wanting to use them as a caterer, attend this event. They had samples of almost all of their popular food items and made things so much harder for us to decide because we enjoyed all of their appetizers, pasta bar, sweets, drinks, etc. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable about all of their food items, what is available when it comes to tables linens, what foods/apps work best during what time of year, etc. We even had the chance to talk with Captain Kiki and another one of their chefs prior to the wedding. They knew so much and brought to our attention what foods were in season during the time of the wedding and what would work best. We had our daughters wedding with 400 guests catered by Amicis. We couldn't have been happier!! Our guests raved about the food (made to order pasta bar, tenderloin carving station, harvest salad & rolls). They had several chefs there in 8 pasta stations cooking made to order pasta dishes for our guests. Everyone complimented the chefs and the pasta meals they prepared for everyone. The lines were minimal and while guests waited a few minutes, they were able to decide what they wanted in their pasta (the choices that Amicis brought to serve were perfect and had a variety for everyone who was there). The tenderloin was delicious!! It was not rare, it was cooked to perfection! Whether someone wanted an end cut or a little more red, they had it all!! There was not one complaint - everyone LOVED the food - KUDOS to Amicis!! :) They came in and decorated all of the various stations to compliment the winter theme we had used on the table centerpieces along with their greenery. We did have children at the reception so we had a child's menu prepared for them. They enjoyed their food however, once they tasted their parents pasta and tenderloin, they too went up and enjoyed the adult meals. My one regret is that I did not have Amicis do a cake for us. I'm not sure if it was even an option however, we will definitely check with them when we are planning our other daughters' weddings! We HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding reception needs or any catered event. We look forward to working with them in the future. One of the biggest compliments we received was the fact that the venue we used (Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin) will be switching their menu to be the same pasta bar we had at our daughter's reception for their black tie event coming up. They were so impressed with the pasta bar, the individual chefs, the various selections for the pasta bar and how smoothly they were able to accomodate 400 people! Thank you Susan, her daughter, Sylvia, Kiki, his entire staff the night of the wedding and owner Mike for making our daughter's reception dinner one that we will never forget!! NOTE: I forgot to mention the appetizers - buffalo chicken flatbread, mini chicken quesadillas, seared tuna on wonton crisps drizzled with wasabi sauce and cuban egg rolls!! Crushed it. On short notice I had to put together a large BD party for my wife. I was either going to cook for a ton of people or hire a food truck. The first option, NO....the second was way more expensive than I thought....Someone I work with mentioned Amici's and with little time to do anything else I called them. This will sound like a planted advertisement but it is not...every single thing we ordered was outstanding. They even loaned me some of their warmer boxes for free. When I returned the warmers I grabbed a bunch of cards because we had a bunch of requests for their info the night before. Will certainly use again. read more

We had a great wedding at Sunken Gardens in St. Pete, and Amici's were a big reason why! First, we had an interesting time at our tasting, most of the dishes we tried were amazing, but one particular was a lil too different for us, the jerk chicken with rum sauce. It was tasty, but not something we thought the majority of our guests would enjoy. We mentioned how many of the guests were hispanic, and if there were any dishes they would suggest. She said they could do a black beans and yellow rice, with cuban chicken. We were glad they were so flexible and the pricing remained the same. The cocktail hour went great, the linens they provided there and at the reception were very nice. We had a fruit and cheese station, and 2 butler passed hors d'oeuvres, The fruit station looked great, everyone enjoyed the food and kept asking for more! The reception was great, and the staff was very attentive. We went with a buffet, and they made our plates for us and made sure to stop by everyone once and awhile to see if we needed anything. I LOVED the black beans, cuban chicken, and london broil. My wife really liked everything, but especially the mashed potatoes; she went back for seconds and got a whole plate of just that! Some of our buddies were obnoxious NYC foodies, who can be kind of elitist when it comes to food. They loved it, and kept going back for more. It has been a couple weeks now, and people still mention what a great time they had, and particularly how good the food was! Awesome staff, and awesome food! read more

Catered a party for us, I wanted to have something a little better than store bought trays and even the local deli didn't have a good tasting potato salad so I went out on a limb and trusted fellow Yelpers. We had a large pool party 35 guests, a summer cold menu, sandwiches and salads.. I was nervous.. Would this place use cheap subway grade meat or have over processed tasting foods like the pre made Mac salad at Publix? No! They all rocked! Sandwiches: bread - great variety and very fresh, loved the pretzel roll, meat - all high end, think Boars head or better. Nothing disappointed.. egg, tuna and chicken salads all so good I wanted my own sandwich, half of each but had no room for them all after the tender roast beef. Got to taste all thanks to family. Fruit and cheese plate were custom designed and carved into shapes like birds, all fresh, same with veggie tray and the tossed salad. Compliments on all. The potato and macaroni salads were unbelievable. All done in professional display, well packaged and high quality delivered in time and set up no additional charge. This is the way to impress people folks and boy did it taste good! I would normally have gone store bought but Amicis provided that taste that if someone had brought a good potato or macaroni or tuna salad to your party people ask for the recipe. It was such a pleasure to offer our guests such great food. At least a dozen times I was asked for the contact info for the caterer. I will never order a tray from Publix again and any future party we have will be catered by Amicis. Thanks for making our party rock! read more
