One of the very best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Delectables! We initially planned to be married in November 2020, but because of COVID, we had to reschedule to November 2021. Delectables was so accommodating and made sure that everything was just right for us! Janice was a complete joy to work with and helped answer all of my million questions from rescheduling to menu choices to napkin placement. She is a gem! On the day of our celebration, the Delectables staff showed up early and got straight to work. Rick was our supervisor and he made sure that my husband and I got our plates of food first and that everything flowed seamlessly from the cocktail hour to dinner to dessert. The waitstaff and bartender were also completely wonderful to work with. And the food!!! Our guests still can't stop talking about how delicious everything was and asking me to find the recipes. Went for a tasting on a non tasting day. We had 6 people. They charged us $100 for the tasting and Another $100 for 2 more people. They gave all 6 of us one appetizer each, 4 different appetizers. but the main meal they gave us two plates for all 6 of us to split. Outrageous! Not very smart if your looking for our business. I am a Party Planner and I hired Delectables for our party last Friday where we hosted 70+ guests. I loved the whole process. Gabrielle, who was taking care of our orders, were super quick to respond and greatly willing to find solutions to our very specific menu requests (we ordered gluten and dairy free refreshment). The service at the party was excellent. A team of three came and set up all the tables and decoration. They were also very nice and pleasant to the guests during the party. Delectables Fine Catering is an incredible catering company for any event but especially weddings. They catered my daughter's wedding in November of 2020 for 79 guests at Baker's Ranch and people just raved about the chicken piccata, roast beef, au-gratin potatoes, charcuterie boards, Palm tree fruit display, the four hors d'oeuvres passed at cocktail hour and the miniature Viennese Dessert table. I knew the food was great from our tastings, but blown away at how many guests commented to me about how much they loved the food! The portions were very nice and the efficiencies and safety precautions for COVID-19 for the buffet kept everyone safe! They have an excellent way for you to try their foods with the tastings they set up once a month in St Pete so you can go and try the numerous dishes. They have different foods presented each month since they have so many options for chicken, beef, seafood, veggies and hors-d' oeuvres. They are simply incredible and I will use them for my son's wedding some day! They even packed up the leftovers for me in containers I brought and we had lovely fruit, cheeses and meats to add to our Thanksgiving feast. Attended last Sunday's tasting for our daughter's wedding next April. Drove up from Sarasota to be told the caterer "is very busy" to take time to talk to us. Never came over entire time we were there. Noticed there was no interaction with any of the potential clients. Food was not good. Chateau has no flavor, although tender. Vegetables overcooked, cold and too covered with congealed butter or oil. Chicken dishes served were minimal at best. Salad was fine, but hard to ruin a mixed green salad without being dressed. Passed appetizers didn't impress. Venetian desserts were awful except for key lime pie. The creme brûlée was runny and custard had broken down. And to be charged $5.00 for a soda at a WALK UP TO bar was the final insult. We left very disappointed. read more

Delectables Fine Catering Inc. catered my wedding earlier this month. One word to sum up the experience with them is AMAZING. From the beginning of the whole process, I received timely communication and transparency from their corporate and social event coordinator named Gabrielle. She answered all of my 100 questions thoroughly and without frustration. Me and my wife live out of state so we couldn't attend one of their free taste testing that they have every first Sunday of every month. We were able to book two private taste testing though for 100$ a session (up to 4 people can attend). While at the taste testing we was able to figure out what hors d'oeuvre we wanted for the wedding (chicken satay, shrimp and grits, meatballs in marinara sauce, risotto croquettes, and spanakopita) and what entrees we wanted for the plated combination dinner (filet mignon and mahi mahi martinique) On the wedding day, the wait staff made sure me and my wife was well taken care of. During cocktail hour me and my wife stayed in the bridal suite to get some downtime before the wedding reception started. The wait staff checked on us multiple times to make sure we had enough hors d'oeuvre and drinks. During the wedding reception, the wait staff would come by our table (sweetheart table) to make sure everything was alright. All the comments I have heard from the guests that attended the wedding are all positive. They said the food was delicious and that the wait staff was very professional and friendly. We had the premium brand liquor open bar for approximately 100 guests. There was no issue of any liquor running out. We had a few guests that cancelled last minute with attending the wedding, therefore we had extra food. Delectables Fine Catering Inc. was kind to put the extra food in food boxes that we provided. If you are in the Tampa Bay area and are looking for a caterer for a wedding I highly recommend that you do business with Delectables Fine Catering Inc. You will get alot of value and wonderful service for a very good price. You and your guests will be satisfied. read more

My daughter started planning for her wedding in June for Oct 16, 2021. She didn't want a traditional wedding with large tables, a specific time for eating, etc. but preferred a more relaxed setting that you would normally get at a house party. We couldn't find a house that would fit 100 people, so she finally chose a rooftop venue that had just started doing weddings and offered some challenges to the catering companies (one not very big elevator, no kitchen, etc.) We spoke to several companies, but Janice, with her experience and creativity, was able to figure out all our wants and needs and then actually execute as promised! And the cost was reasonable too. We chose a semi-custom menu with passed hors d'oeuvres, several platters, and dishes from the tropical luau menu. The hot food stayed hot and moist throughout the reception, including the Mahi! The food was 'delectable', the staff was friendly and professional, and the guests were delighted! I would call Janice in a heartbeat if I needed a catering company again! Thank you, Janice, so much! BTW, don't pass up on the cucumber water...it's incredible! read more

Wow! We went to my niece's wedding expecting the normal bland, cold-ish food and boy were we pleasantly surprised! The Chicken Montrachet was delectable. I'm pretty sure we were sliding our fingers across our plates to lick off every last bite...well, at lease SOME of us were...not me of course;) The Prime rib was extremely flavorful and tender and even the sides were delicious! I am rarely impressed with catered food but this was a very pleasant surprise! read more

I recently attended a social function and Delectable Foods provided there food. Everyone said the food was delicious. But l didn't eat,do to COVID I didn't like that it was self serve. I have hired Delectables at least 4 times, and been at a few other events that have done, and every time the food and service were phenomenal. I have used them from 35 person college graduation parties with appetizers to 100+ person sit-down dinners, to 145 person buffets. All were exceptional, in both food and service. In my experience, prices are pretty much the same as other area professional caterers. Don't compare restaurants to professional caterers, as restaurants generally don't have the specialized equipment that offsite caterers use to keep hot food at the perfect temperatures. That could be good or bad, but let me tell you, it is most certainly good! There is nothing tired about their cuisine, and it is so beautifully presented! I found them while attending a wedding they were catering, and have since used them for numerous smaller social occasions. Their menus, staff, and expertise still amaze me! This was a very disappointing experience with this company. On the day of the event, the delivery was incorrect (they had the invitation in the file), the food was not assembled, rolls were dry, meat portions did not fit the rolls (we threw it all away). Worse, there was no one to get in touch with on a Saturday afternoon--all answering machines. The following Monday the staff member called for the credit card. I told her of my displeasure--she was defensive, rude, and blaming. When I finally reminded her that I was the customer and wanted an apology, she said "well if that is what it will take to get your credit card number, then I am sorry." I finally found a manager to email who was also initially defensive, finally understood the mistakes and did apologize via email. She offered me a brie appetizer to make up for the catastrophe, really? I paid the charge in full and have not heard anymore from this poorly managed organization. Buyer beware. You can build a reputation for years and lose it in five minutes. I had my five minutes with that surly staff member. read more
