Stopped In for lunch on a Sunday late morning. We had walked by here plenty of times and never ate here. Figured let's try it! Wanting to eat at every restaurant in Safety Harbor this is another local eatery. Had the turkey club special and my wife had the chicken buffalo wrap. I usually finish my wife's meal so I had two meals. Service was good. The food is very good, hidden gem on Main Street. They also serve smoothies, we didn't get but watched a few get made. Maggie was super nice and allowed me to customize my egg sandwich. Over easy, over medium or hard and I selected medium. American, Swiss or provolone and I selected Swiss! Hard roll or croissant or English muffin. I selected muffin! This is a nice clean new spot in downtown Safety Harbor. They serve egg sandwiches with ham, sausage or Taylor ham plus lunch sandwiches with turkey, roast beef, pastrami or corned beef. Also, Maggie is an expert at making smoothies with fresh fruit she freezes herself, yogurt, coconut milk or regular milk and much more! She told me she makes smoothies for her 5 kids so they get something healthy every day! There is plenty of seating and you can sit at the counter. My wife and I visited this establishment today for a father day treat, we were seated right away and our server offered drinks which we taken care of right away, my wife ordered the classics breakfast ( eggs, bacon and toast) and I ordered the southern grits and shrimp with chorizo, the meal was served with a reasonably amount of time, the server was very attentive, my wife's eggs were cooked to perfection (over easy) and the bacon was thick with the right crisp, the shrimp and grits were beautifully presented with a flavorful broth and the shrimp cooked as the should, the only regret was the grits, they were undercooked, with no flavor at all and most likely the cook used instant grits which no not come close to real creamy grits, the ambiance was very cozy, the inside is not very big, maybe 4 tables at the most with outside sitting read more

Walk ups for to go orders common and Maggie's supports call ahead orders. Parking behind Cafe and on-street, and popular for a walking destination on Main Street; dogs welcome at outside seating. Maggie's specializes in Smoothies and Breakfast Fruit Bowls; so an easy spot to grab a smoothie while you stroll Safety Harbor. Maggie advertises bagels are Da Bronx style. So a perfect place if you are a true NY bagel enthusiast. Lunch sandwiches to eat there or to go. Outside seating is both small and high top tables, and under cover. Breakfast and lunch portions are ample and tasty. Staff is very friendly and helpful on menu choices. Maggie's serves in the can brews and adult beverages with lunch. What a sweet treat to have a shop dedicated to smoothies in town. I wanted to take the boys somewhere downtown after school as a treat but didn't want to go full on ice cream or snow cone before dinner. I told a friend I wanted to do smoothies and she recommended Maggie's. I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of smoothies along with affordable lunch options. We tasted the strawberry banana and mixed berry. They were both great and one even had kale - so that's a mom win for the day. We'll definitely be back to try the lunch sandwiches/wraps along with the beverages. The beverage cooler is stocked with cutwater, high end seltzers, and beer. We love cutwater and I was so surprised to see it stocked! They even had an option to order a kids brown bagged lunch, which I thought was cute for back to school. The decor and seating is perfect for large groups and families. So thankful for this shop and can't wait to visit again! read more

Success!!!!!! I started on a pastrami kick a few weeks ago. I am aware that the Lucky Dill is a very popular place to get it. I actually don't like the bread they use because the crust is actually sharp enough, even untoasted, that it cuts the roof of my mouth. Not to mention it's excessively thick. So, I went on a quest to find quality pastrami and I just did it. If you're from the Northeast and you've had pastrami in New York or at a good deli anywhere, you are used to having pastrami that has fat on it which provides both texture and flavor. Note, most all the rest of the time I do everything I can to avoid fatty meat because I don't actually like it. But for pastrami it's necessary in order to get the proper texture flavor and experience. I could give a whole lesson on what it is, but basically there are three types of pastrami navel, flat and top round. Top round is super lean, tastes pretty awful, and is in most of the supermarkets. Flat, is moderately fatty and is tender and melts in your mouth. Navel is super fatty and tender and melts in your mouth. Maggie's Cafe uses flat and if you ever want to compare it to Lucky dill, add extra meat and you've got the equivalent but on nice solid bread of whatever your choice is, a super friendly owner and employee, with a willingness to do their absolute best to satisfy the customer. It's a fairly new place, and I'm recommending giving it a try because I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you read my reviews over time, then it has to be clear that I am very picky and this place passes with flying colors. read more

We had high hopes given the reviews, but were disappointed. The coffee was very weak. When we got our orders, the presentation was pretty bland and unappetizing. My bagel/egg/bacon sandwich was tasty but my husband said his breakfast was disappointing. We sat outside and had to ask the staff two different times for basic things, like salt and pepper, and jelly for toast. Too many other choices to go there again. read more
