I held my sisters baby shower there today! The service was incredible, any question I had leading up to the day they were more then happy to answer it. They were accommodating and made suggestions and helped make the day look beautiful. It's clean and spotless. The food was delicious, and they give you great portions. I was more than happy to have her baby shower there and I'll definitely be back again. I would highly suggest this place!! read more

Amici's restaurant has been one of our favorites for quite awhile. The food is always served piping hot, is extremely flavorful, served in generous portions, and the staff is very cordial and attentive. And their weekday lunch specials are some of the best unadvertised bargains around. But recently I had the pleasure of discovering what a phenomenal restaurant they are for hosting a private party! On Saturday, Nov 14th, 2015 I hosted a surprise 60th birthday party for 70 guests at Amici's and my expectations were exceeded in every possible way. Alex Daku, the chef/owner of Amici's, could not have been more helpful. From planning the menu items, to seating arrangements, to the layout of the room, Alex's suggestions were always welcome and insightful. In all of our interactions, Alex was cordial and supportive, and I was struck by how much he genuinely wanted the event to be a terrific experience for everyone involved. The food was exceptional as always, and the feedback from the guests could not have been more positive. Most had never been there before, so they were overwhelmed by how good and plentiful the food was. The appetizers of bruchetta, antipasto, and house salad were served family style, and in those rare instances when they were finished, were replenished upon the request of guests. All of the entrees came out piping hot, something that is not easily achieved when serving 70 guests. And many of the guests who ordered the salmon said that it was the best that they had ever tasted. The staff could not have been better, being extremely attentive to guests' needs without being intrusive. And the few guests that had special dietary needs were pleasantly accommodated. I would highly recommend Amici's for any dining need - from casual lunch to special occasion dinner to private event. Alex and his staff can truly do it all! read more

Overheard an argument with the owner and one of his employees... the way the man talks to people is ridiculous. I will not support this business. Food was decent though. read more

Last night I had a 30 person birthday dinner at Amici. Everything about the evening was perfect. The staff was attentive and the food was beyond amazing. My family couldn't stop talking about how great the the salmon was. Alex made sure that all of my guests were taken care of. Thanks for a beautiful evening. I would definitely recommend having a party here. read more

This is in response to management's comment on my review... Comment from Kyle M. of Amici 3/3/2013 " Hide Dear Customers, Attention to Nick: We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your dining experience here at Amici. There is a possibility that you might own a restaurant or are friends with one of our competitors in the area. Seeing that our restaurant is doing very well may have a negative impact on the business of our competitors. The employees and management are working together as a team to ensure all of our customers have a pleasant dining experience at Amici. Everyday we work to improve every aspect of our restaurant. We strive to provide top quality food and service. To all of our other customers, thank you for your understanding and please, let us know about your experience with us! Thank you, Amici Ristorante and team Wow... So it is very smart to be connected with your customers by looking at reviews on yelp. And business 101 would tell you that if you read a less than satisfactory review that you should take notice and apologize for the unpleasant experience and maybe even offer out the recommendation of a second visit to impress upon. Instead, you are so arrogant that it's impossible for you to believe that I had a bad service and didn't love my meal? Furthermore, you imply that I'm "connected or affiliated" with another restaurant in the area? Here's a thought, before you start jumping to conclusions and make yourself look completely childish and foolish on a public forum, you should utilize the tools that yelp has given you and research the reviews of other restaurants that I have posted on here. If you would have done that, you would have quickly noticed that I have never reviewed any of your "competitors" in the area nor would it be logical to imply that I have any connection to them ... If you want to get down to it, I don't write reviews too often because I usually reserve them for outstanding restaurants that blew me away and half the time I forget to even post it in a timely matter. Most recent notables would be fond in philadelphia along with morimoto, parc, bibou and le virtu... None of which I am sure would be effected by the opening of your restaurant and just typing those names in your review thread is making me nauseous since your place has no right to be in the same sentence, let along paragraph. But in the case of your restaurant, I was simply hoping for a nice little neighborhood italian joint. As I stated, I didnt expect to be blown away the way I am at places that I mentioned above... I did not go in with any outrageous vision. I just expected a restaurant that could cook good typical italian cuisine and instead, your food was not very good and your service was worse. I completely forgot all about your restaurant but now you just put yourself right back in the spotlight for negative publicity. I do not wish any ill will and I sincerely hope your restaurant succeeds but a tad bit of advice would be to learn how to accept criticism. My visit and review was 100% accurate and I can only call it like I see it. Good luck and good day, Nick read more

Upscale dining at reasonable prices! Finally, a decent Italian restaurant! Very unique dishes as well as the traditional. We started with the eggplant rollatini which was the best I have had in a long time. Portions are nice sizes, presentation is lovely and the food is delicious. It is BYOB which is also nice. The only problem you may have is parking. read more

What a great neighborhood spot. It has it all - great food, great atmosphere and great service. I eat here a couple of times a month and am never disappointed. It's really great to have a delicious, consistent and comfortable spot like this in the neighborhood. read more

I have dined here sveral times and have always had a positive experience. But I dined here last week with three other friends. I had asked for a corner table as I knew our volume might be energetic. The evening started off great. Food was excellent. Service was good. When asked if we would like coffee or dessert, we stated we would enjoy another drink then decide. Our bill was put on the table. It was then decided we wanted to share a dessert. We received an unfriendly face and the bill was removed from the table. While one server went to get the dessert plate another server reprimanded us for being to loud. Yet there was another table of six having the same amount of fun. When the server returned with the dessert plate we chose to decline due to how we were treated. How unfortunate. Rude looks and being reprimanded are not inviting characteristics. read more

It was freezing cold in the restaurant. They wouldn't acknowledge my request to turn the heat up. The indifference was chilling. I will never go there again in cold weather. It takes away from the meal, when you have to eat it with your winter coat on. read more

Shameful! We traveled over a thousand miles to have Christmas dinner with our daughters and grandchildren. We made reservations over a month in advance by phone to be sure they were open on Christmas. When we arrived for our 6:00 reservation we were met with a line of people flowing out of the restaurant. We were advised that they were well over an hour behind on reservations. Since we were under some time restraints we had no choice but to leave, thus ruining what should have been a fun night for us and our family. There is no excuse for this and management was no where to be seen. read more

Pretty good but not exceptional. Tre Famiglia is much better. My main gripe: get the sugar out of the marinara sauce! That's a major turnoff for me (and my wife). I know, it somewhat mitigates the acidity, but the resulting sweetness in the sauce ruins it. If I want sweet I'll have dessert. I'll try the place again, and if the sauce is the same will not return. A shame, because it's 2 minutes away. read more

Have gone for lunch a few times this summer based on a recommendation of a doctor colleague. Decor is stunning, food is excellent, service is above outstanding but down side is that many other people are aware of it. So I recommend you go early or a little past the normal hour to, hopefully, miss the crowd. But do visit and often as you will never be disappointed. I recommend the chicken dishes but all the food I have had is excellent. As a disciple of David Rosengarten, the former food critic and contributing editor of Gourmet Magazine, I normally wait til I have visited the fifth time, as he recommends, to praise a restaurant but with Amici's I could not wait to let you know. read more

We have eaten here three times since it opened. We have not been disappointed. The very first time I had a veal dish. When it was set in front of me, it smelled wonderful and tasted wonderful. The third time we were there I had the gnochhi (sp) with spinach and so did my son. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We found the service to be fine and leisurely and the prices reasonable. read more

My husband and I recently moved to the burbs from Philly. We tried the whole Collingswood dining scene, but parking can be a bit annoying. When this place opened up my husband and I wanted to give it a whirl. We were NOT disappointed. The wait staff was more than accommodating, and very pleasant. The food was great, definitely comparable to Philly and Collingswood. The plus side is there 's on-site parking. When our bill came we were pleasantly surprised how much food we got for the price. All in all, it's way cheaper than Philly and Collingswood without paying for tolls and parking (WIN! WIN!) A great neighborhood BYOB. Try it for yourself and you won't be disappointed! read more

We hadn't been here for a few years. It was better than I remember. Fresh and delicious bronzino, great pappardelle bolognese, and salads. Moderate noise, friendly and attentive staff. Long-time server Gianni was excellent. Really just had two problems: I forgot the wine, and the bread was a little too good. read more

I love Amici - the food, the service, the ambiance, all perfect the three times I've dined there. This is my current fave restaurant in this area- their lunch is awesome- a very classy and reasonable experience. Highly recommend their Minestrone. Looking forward to many more meals there. read more

We held a 70th birthday party at Amici's in February 2017. We had over 60 people for a prix fixe meal and everything was amazing! The restaurant is a nicely decorated atmosphere. Alex the owner was wonderful to work with. They set up the room the way we wanted, people were comfortable and mostly importantly the food was delicious and the service was prompt and fantastic. Our guests enjoyed the bruschetta, salads and a choice of chicken Marsala, salmon or eggplant parmigiana. Each one more delicious than the next. They were also very accommodating of children. Overall a great experience of good food and service-- making for a memorable event. read more

Amici is the best deal in the area. The quality of food and service is comparable to the great restraurants of Collingswood but at a fraction of the price. The atmosphere is good. Service is very good with a very personable staff. I highly recommend it. read more

Visited last night and shared a wonderful diiner with my husband and our elderly neighbor. The food, as always, was excellent; and, the wait staff was both effecient and and pleasant. Amici's is a jewel of a restaurant and I will never hesitate to introduce friends and family to an eating experience I can be sure they will enjoy! read more

the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service is unheard of for the price that you will see when your check comes. I went with a party of 4... we had 2 salads, mussels, 4 entrees, and 2 desserts and the check came to only $93. We were the only people in the restaurant and not once did we feel rushed or unattended. Highly recommend this place. The food isnt THE BEST I EVER HAD...but for the price to food ratio it definitely is the best. read more

We made a reservation and specifically asked to be seated in the "back room" because we like to be able to talk with our friends. We were told when we arrived that it was not available at that time. We were given a "quiet table" in the main dining room. By 6 pm we could not hear each other or the waiters, the noise reached painful levels and we were very disappointed. We have been coming here since it opened and really like the food and the staff, but will probably not return because the sound level is really horrible. Maybe carpeting and window coverings would help, but we're not holding our breath! Too bad. read more

My husband and I went to dinner here last night for the first time and really enjoyed everything. The service was great and the food was amazing! The calamari was so tender and my lobster ravioli was great. I never heard of this place until I got a coupon for $10 off in the money mailer pack. The prices are so reasonable you dont even need the coupon. I'm really glad we tried this place and we will definitely be back! read more

We have been to Amici's several times for lunch and dinner. Each time it was a very good experience. The food is always wonderful. The veal is very tender and flavorful. On our last visit my dinner partner had the sole dish, which she said was excellent. Even the bread was top notch, served warm. The service is attentive without being over-bearing. It's a BYOB and the prices are very reasonable. I will go again and again. read more

I had my birthday party there last weekend and all my guests enjoyed the food. My guests & I had to wait about 10 mn for the tables to be ready as the place was very busy. It was somewhat inconvenient but the staff really pulled through a difficult situation and did an outstanding job at getting things ready for us in a timely matter under the circumstances. The food is delicious, the place is clean, the staff is courteous & accommodating (special thumbs up to Alex the chef & Adi,one of our servers). I recommend this place to any food lover (a plus: BYOB). read more

My family had the best experience yesterday at Amici Ristorante for my daughter's wedding shower! Our guests raved about the food ("loved the fresh zucchini, the appetizers, the salmon, the tiramisu/the best penne with vodka sauce I ever had"); all four courses featured delicious food and presentation. The wait staff was ultra-professional, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and their willingness to accommodate our needs made things move smoothly all afternoon. They were even quick to lend us a hand as we packed up all of the shower decorations and gifts. Kudos and thanks to Giovanni who worked with us ahead of time and Ari and his capable staff who oversaw the dining room today. I would highly recommend Amici to individual diners looking for a tasty meal or to people planning any special celebration. Cherry Hill has a very special gem in this restaurant! read more
