Excellent pizzas, excellent meatballs and excellent service. You have the option of sitting inside, outside, at the bar or captain's table. Location is right off of BBR (IYKYK) and there are quant shops around the area to walk off those calories. If there was one area to improve would be the bathroom. Amici is such a gem. Semi-upscale vibes, an actually great happy hour, and $11 pizzas that taste way more expensive than they cost. Huge shoutout to Ivan for the top-tier service -- friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We ordered our pizzas extra crispy (10/10 move) and tried the parmesan crust -- crispy was perfect, but the parm crust had very limited flavor and didn't add much. We have been there twice, and both times, we were disappointed. On my first visit, I had the chicken piccata. It really didn't have much flavor. The chicken was overdone. The sauce, which is supposed to be lemon caper butter, tasted mostly like oil and overwhelmed the overall taste. I doubt there was much butter. Oil is cheaper, so...? On our second visit, I tried the pizza. It was okay, but nothing to brag about. The pepperoni was sparse, the cheese thin, and the flavor bland. On top of this, it is VERY loud. The restaurant is nothing more than a bar with seating placed around it. It is a hollow shell inside, and the noise carries and reverberates throughout. They have metal chairs that scrape the concrete floors obnoxiously loudly whenever anyone moves them. Not much for the ambiance. They have tried placing tennis balls on the legs of the chairs, but most are missing, and the remaining ones are worn out. As with most restaurants today, they are pricey. I don't mind paying for a truly good meal, but I gave them two shots, and they were below par on both visits. We thought of trying their sister eatery next door, which is Mexican, but after this experience, we opted to pass. read more

The food at best, is maybe 4.5. Some of the staff are extraordinarily friendly and kind. Then, others are incompetent and lazy. I've witnessed firsthand a few of the workers trying to wash off tables and lift heavy trays of food while others stand around doing absolutely nothing while customers wait for tables to be cleaned off. This place is in a prime location, but it doesn't measure up to comparable standards other restaurants in it's vicinity do. I've heard that mgmt. truly lack adequate experience to run a operation such as this. They take advantage of the harder working younger employees while allowing others to slack off and do nothing. It makes for a disjointed, mediocre vibe due to the inability for the staff to work together as a team. Go anywhere but here when you come to 30A. This place just isn't worth the cost. Even with the horrible work environment, if the food was great, I'd have to give more stars. But when the food is so mediocre AND the ppl running the show run a sloppy unethical operation, it's best to take your business elsewhere. read more

So went to early dinner (4:30 pm) knowing this and they seemed to have such a hard time to sit our group of 13. Wouldn't recommend coming here for a large group despite the fact they do have a lot of space. Waitress didn't communicate well- they only split into 3 checks per table but acted like we were supposed to know this before waitress brought a single check for each (large) table... just wasn't a great experience, we were sat in the August sun and were sweating so hard it was difficult to enjoy. Drinks could have been refilled quicker with the sun beaming on us. The happy hour fettuccine dish was gross due to the sauce was super watery. Amici is set in a great location with plenty of charm, especially if you choose the fun outdoor seating area. The atmosphere alone makes it an enjoyable stop. Their menu features many classic Italian dishes along with a fun lineup of drinks, so there's something for everyone. My daughter, her friend, her friend's mother, and I voted to have Italian fare for a dinner. Amici's was well-recommended and did not disappoint! We split up our orders and shared--two pizzas: Margarita and pepperoni, a foot long ravioli roll, a caprese and a Caesar salad, and Lily's Chicken dish. All was tasty and nicely cooked (I thought both of the pizzas were rather charred but everyone else thought it was fine). Mr. Khongor was very attentive and double-checked everything for onion content (I am allergic to onions). The only thing I thought was strange was that he never asked us if we wanted anything to drink other than the ice waters he brought us. But he did refill those glasses. We ordered takeout after driving all day and the food was amazing! The lasagna and grilled chicken was the best my friend has had in a long time. I ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni and may have been the best pasta I have ever eaten. It was spicy but not too much with a well rounded flavor over all. We got pizza and salad to go after a long day on the beach. Ordering was easy, the wait was not long, the prices were fair and most importantly the pizza was very good. We got a couple of Amy's salads and they were great. The meatball pizza was the favorite of the group and we were all surprised at the buffalo chicken. It had a great flavor and the buffalo sauce was not overpowering at all. I was a little disappointed we decided to get take out instead of dine in when I got there. Service: Food came out in a timely manner, esp since we were a big party. The waiter was willing to split our checks, which we greatly appreciated. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and thanks to the fans, sitting outside was nice and breezy at 5 pm. Price: this is where I had to dock another star because we were blindsided by the fees. I completely understand the auto 18% gratuity for our big party, but the math wasn't adding up so we asked our waiter and he explained that gratuity is calculated using the full cost prices of the items we ordered, instead of the happy hour prices. On top of that, each bill had a landlord fee, and that just bewilders us as to why we are being charged such a fee at a dining establishment. We sat at the bar area where we watched food be made and waited for our pizza with bread they brought out beforehand. We got a Margherita pizza and a custom cheese pizza with mushroom and olives. Everything else about the place is good just because you work in a very nice beautiful area that has plenty of money flown through. This place really over delivered for our night on the beach! While it was crowded and the seating was a little uncomfortable it would be hard not to recommend this place if you're in 30A and looking for Italian. The group we were with originally was interested in the Fried Ravioli which was HUGE and fried perfectly. The Calamari appetizer was a TON of food and the aioli was nice and spicy. The spicy olive oil pasta was executed perfectly, impressive and tasty would order again. Ok... now here is where I got a little weird, the non-pizza menu is small and I started to get curious. The Chicken Parm can come with 3 sauces, unless you go off script and order the SPICY Vodka sauce, and I need to explain to you that you MUST do this if you even like spicy Italian at all. The chicken was cooked well, the portions were large, but the Spicy Vodka Sauce was the winner here, I know this combo is not technically on the menu and I hope the place doesn't hold it against me for recommending but it was a winner. I did not get our servers name but she was very nice and very fast and didn't make me feel bad for ordering a little out of left field! Overall, if you want Italian in 30A this was amazing and I recommend it. It may be helpful to make a reservation if you want to sit in a more comfortable area in the restaurant. read more

The host said she wasn't near her host stand and I said I can wait, then she said she's not allowed to tell me because the wait can change. Really adore the happy hour here. If you're in off season it's easy to get a table, but if it's tourist season get your name on the waitlist ahead of time. We stopped by on a Friday night and had roughly an hour wait. Once we were sat we were quickly attended to. This place has an incredibly large menu, there is definitely something for everyone. I ended up getting a gluten free pizza, it was pretty good but not necessarily earth shattering. I would get it again. The highlight of our night though was getting to meet the owner of Amici, on an extremely busy night he took the time to talk and get to know us, telling us all about his family business! Awful experience at a supposedly upscale restaurant. The server had 0 clue about any of the beer selections and assured us he was bringing what we requested and did not. It was the opposite of what we were looking for. Then my pizza came out missing the main ingredient of pepperoni and instead of remaking the pizza they just cooked some pepperoni on the side and slapped it on the now cold pizza. By this time my friend had finished their meal and I wasn't paying almost $30 dollars for the pizza they "corrected" and just went hungry for the night as the meal was over by this time and it was time to go.
