Mozzarella stick 1 foot long appetizer

Had higher expectations and unfortunately was disappointed. Came here to celebrate my bachelorette trip. They do not take reservations (I knew). So went to early dinner (4:30 pm) knowing this and they seemed to have such a hard time to sit our group of 13. Wouldn't recommend coming here for a large group despite the fact they do have a lot of space. Waitress didn't communicate well- they only split into 3 checks per table but acted like we were supposed to know this before waitress brought a single check for each (large) table... just wasn't a great experience, we were sat in the August sun and were sweating so hard it was difficult to enjoy. Drinks could have been refilled quicker with the sun beaming on us. The happy hour fettuccine dish was gross due to the sauce was super watery. Most of the other food was great (meatballs, mozzarella stick, vodka pasta, fettuccine Alfredo).

Yummy. I was able to get the parm crusted chicken as the piccata and that's my favorite combo! My guest was happy to have gluten free pizza. The chocolate cake was amazing - so rich and delicious! Overall service was fine and interior is cute. I'd definitely return for lunch.

My daughter, her friend, her friend's mother, and I voted to have Italian fare for a dinner. Amici's was well-recommended and did not disappoint! We split up our orders and shared--two pizzas: Margarita and pepperoni, a foot long ravioli roll, a caprese and a Caesar salad, and Lily's Chicken dish. All was tasty and nicely cooked (I thought both of the pizzas were rather charred but everyone else thought it was fine). Mr. Khongor was very attentive and double-checked everything for onion content (I am allergic to onions). The only thing I thought was strange was that he never asked us if we wanted anything to drink other than the ice waters he brought us. But he did refill those glasses. He totally was attentive and pleasant. I never saw the inside decor but it was probably lovely. All-in-all, very nice!

We got pizza and salad to go after a long day on the beach. Ordering was easy, the wait was not long, the prices were fair and most importantly the pizza was very good. We got a couple of Amy's salads and they were great. The meatball pizza was the favorite of the group and we were all surprised at the buffalo chicken. It had a great flavor and the buffalo sauce was not overpowering at all. I was a little disappointed we decided to get take out instead of dine in when I got there. The atmosphere looked great and super fun! I'm Looking forward to going back and dining in.

Taste: overall good, considering we didn't have high expectations given this is a tourist area with limited food options. The spaghetti bolognese I ordered was bland and underwhelming, but the pizzas were tasty and a great deal for $11 each during happy hour. Service: Food came out in a timely manner, esp since we were a big party. The waiter was willing to split our checks, which we greatly appreciated. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and thanks to the fans, sitting outside was nice and breezy at 5 pm. Price: this is where I had to dock another star because we were blindsided by the fees. I completely understand the auto 18% gratuity for our big party, but the math wasn't adding up so we asked our waiter and he explained that gratuity is calculated using the full cost prices of the items we ordered, instead of the happy hour prices. On top of that, each bill had a landlord fee, and that just bewilders us as to why we are being charged such a fee at a dining establishment. Overall, good vibes and food but ridiculous portrayal of costs, so beware.

We always stop at Amici on the way from the airport. The have handmade pasta and pizza. We started with fresh made creamy vodka infused gnocchi and finished with their oversized pepperoni pizzas. Thin with the right amount of San marzano tomato sauce to shredded mozzarella cheese ratio. This is one of many Chorchis family restaurants we visit while on vacation.

Back for the second time in 3 days. My wife made it to town yesterday (missed our first visit). Our entire party ordered the same thing from our first visit. It was amazing! Highly recommend A30A!!

We came here for hally hour, which his what Inwould recommend since the pizzas are half the price. It's like a personal pizza and the half price is $11 so that's the time to get it we sat at what they call the chefs table which is sort of like the bar but you get to watch the chefs cooking and plating food. The complimentary bread was a nice touch and the pizza was good, but O don't think it would be worth $22 when not dining at happy hour.

Best pizza we've had thus far on 30A and we've been coming here for over 15 years. Spaghetti is delicious also.

The only Napoleon pizza in the area. And it's very good. Reasonably fancy but casual too. The area drives this kind of Quality.

The staff and servers are more than attentive and very knowledgeable. And usually the food is amazing- but this time it wasn't great. The scallops were undercooked and expensive for just 2. I was very excited that paella is back on the menu but was really disappointed in it. The aioli was off putting for me and the mayonnaise seemed to overpower the dish. I would love for them to bring back some of the older dishes like the sticky ribs and old paella. I'm unsure if the chef has changed again but I feel like the food is declining each time I come. The best part of the meal was the complimentary bread with honey butter. I will definitely still come back but I really hope the culinary team addresses some of these issues.

Everything was highly unbalanced. We ordered the octopus, which was pretty good. The ceviche was terrible. Inedible - fish drowning in straight lime juice. I order ceviche OFTEN, and this was a huge miss for me. They need to add something sweet or creamy to balance the dish. It was way too acidic and very unpleasant, so much so that I returned ny dish after one bite. They were nice and let me order something else... I got the scallops. They were extremely bland, ironically missing any acidity. A tiny bit of lemon could have gone a long way on that dish. I didn't even eat half of it. Not worth wasting the calories. The creme brûlée was good... nothing super special, but luckily that's a tough one to mess up. Overall, I would absolutely not recommend this if you have a decent to good pallet for food. The food is way overpriced and just not very good. The dishes need quite a bit of tweaking to be balanced.

Someone pointed me to the Mandy Burger - 8oz Brasstown beef patty, pepper-candied bacon, Boursin…read morecheese, tobacco fried onions, toasted brioche bun. Well, it was worth the trip. Cooked perfectly and a melody of tasts coming together in every single bite. Service was attentive and the decor was spot on that vibe from Havanna. However, I looked at the wall seeing the famous mug shot of Frank Sinatra from Bergen County NJ and wondered what was that all about? So, I "searched" on AI and discovered something I didn't know before: The Havana Beach Bar & Grill draws its inspiration directly from El Floridita, a legendary bar in Havana, Cuba, famous as a hangout for Ernest Hemingway and emblematic of the city's vibrant mid-20th-century nightlife scene. This ties into a broader theme of celebrating Cuba's golden era of cocktails, cuisine, and revelry, with menu influences from Caribbean and Gulf Coast flavors that evoke that spirit. Frank Sinatra's inclusion in the decor isn't random--it's a deliberate nod to his well-documented ties to Havana during the 1940s and 1950s. He visited Cuba multiple times, performed at iconic venues like the Tropicana and Hotel Nacional, and was part of the celebrity and mob-influenced social scene there. Notably, in February 1947, Sinatra traveled to Havana for what was publicly a gala event but was actually a cover for a major mob conference attended by figures like Lucky Luciano and the Fischetti brothers; he even arrived with a suitcase of cash and entertained at the gathering. Places like Havana's Hotel Nacional still display photos of him today as a famous visitor from that pre-revolutionary period. The specific use of his 1938 Bergen County mug shot (from an arrest on outdated charges of "seduction" involving a married woman) adds a layer of edginess, fitting the restaurant's evocation of Havana's glamorous yet gritty underworld vibe during the mob's heyday in Cuba. It's an iconic image often used in vintage decor to highlight Sinatra's rebellious early persona, which aligns with the era's celebrity lore that the restaurant channels amid its otherwise Cuba-focused elements.

First visit and we'll definitely be back…read more This was our first time at Shades Bar & Grill, and it was a great experience. We went with a group of seven and everything from the atmosphere to the food made it a really fun night out. The location and vibe are fantastic -- lively but relaxed, the kind of place where you can easily settle in with friends and enjoy a good meal. We started with appetizers for the table: calamari, onion rings, and volcano shrimp. All three disappeared quickly. The calamari was really good and normally comes served over jalapeños, but since I don't eat them the kitchen kindly put them on the side for us. The onion rings were fantastic, and the volcano shrimp had a little heat (which the spice lovers at the table really liked). For dinner I had the hibachi steak over fried rice with yum-yum sauce, cooked medium. It was excellent -- tender, flavorful, and a generous portion. Others in our group ordered the same dish and loved it as well. The chicken nachos were huge (normally an appetizer but easily a full meal) with really tasty queso that had a bit of spice. The burger and flatbreads at the table also got great reviews. We also tried the chocolate dessert bomb at the end (not sure of the exact name), and it was fantastic -- chocolate mousse and cake inside a chocolate shell with whipped cream. Definitely worth sharing. The drinks were great, the service was friendly, and the whole place had a welcoming feel. One thing we really appreciated as well: they offer a military discount, which was a nice touch. We're locals and this was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. Highly recommend if you're in the Panama City Beach / 30A area.
