I ordered from the m last weekend and the pizza was perfect, but today my pizza was horrible, I calling and talked to the Manager about my order and he was very rude, I ordered two pizzas with extra sauce ham bacon onions and green peppers with garlic butter and parm and my order was so jacked you would have thought I said no garlic parm and butter and no extra sauce last time ordering from this place their so disrespectful and inconsiderate of their customers do not eat here and by the way ZERO STARS

My boyfriend and I were hungry and found Amicci's while we were staying in Hamtramck. We couldn't agree on what toppings we wanted so the girl at the counter told us we could do half and half with whatever toppings we wanted. I got mushrooms and sausage on my half of the 8" personal pizza and we also ordered a side of fries. Our total was super reasonable, only about $7.50. The menu is huge, with regular pizza, Detroit style pizza, super thin crust pizza, as well as subs, salads, burgers, Italian dinners, fried food items, etc. The interior is bigger than I thought it would be too, so we were able to sit while we waited for our food. The pizza was pretty good, they do use canned mushrooms which I know some people don't like. They were fine, but fresh mushrooms would have been better. The fries were hot but nothing special. It was a good stop for some late night snacks and I'd go back again.

I can't believe this is our first time here. We love this local gem. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and the amici salad and of course a pizza. The service was outstanding and they were quick to get our drinks out. My favorite item we had was the amici salad. I can't put my finger on what was so damn good but it's a combination of blue cheese, green olives, crispy pepperoni, onions a lemon herb dressing. Outstanding!

Today I received the most horrible pizza I have ever had. My salad was just that lettuce. I can't believe I continue to order from there. It's time to move on. The quality is just not there anymore.

I go to the Dally in the Alley every year and one year I was lucky enough to stumble upon Amicci's tent set up along the food alley. So glad I got to try it and find out about this place because I am absolutely hooked!! This is one of my top favorite places to get pizza! I'm a pizza fanatic and I prefer to patronize local restaurants - Amicci's is perfect for that! They have great deals and a variety of things not only pizza related on their menu. They also have a reward system which offers great incentives and deals if you're a frequent customer like I am. Their website is perfect for online ordering and you can check the status of your order and get updated through that or their app as well. I LOVE their Detroit style deep dish but their round and thin crust is awesome as well! For all the ranch lovers out there I should mention that they have a great house ranch. I couldn't even wait to take a photo, I had to eat a slice right when I got my order the other day lol. Definitely worth a try!!

Cheeseburger. Yum? No. Ordered mini tacos, got cheese sticks. Closed now, can't fix it. Sad that this is the quality of their food.

Their vegan cheese and pizza is really good! My friend ordered us a mushroom and then an onion one, the bread is great, the sauce, everything. Good for when you want a basic pizza and don't want to pay the gourmet prices.

Really substantial pizza. This pizza is my pizza. I would have this once a week if god would allow. Amicci? Man myth or legend?

Huge props to this place for delivering to my work. Lunch Pizza combo is exactly what I needed. Will order again.

Amicci's has THEEEE BEST wings & cajun fires. They never disappoint at all! It was very delicious.

"Thai" thin-crust pizza, taken before I picked off all the nasty canned mushrooms.

Extensive menu of mediocre food. Fried mushrooms are wet, doughy and undercooked. Other apps (boneless wings and cheese sticks) were obviously frozen. Thin-crust thai pizza sounded great but was bland and covered in canned mushrooms- a culinary pet peeve of mine. My spouse's Detroit style pizza was better. It's probably the only think I'd recommend. The "highlight" for me was our delivery girl; who showed up at the wrong door (we'd included instructions in our order), swore ("J---- C-----!"), and forgot to bring everything. When I called them to let them know, she called me back and became very rude and belligerent with me. Eventually, I told her that if this is how she speaks to customers, I would prefer she not return. We would call the missing items a loss, and would simply never order from them again. Sometimes, extraordinary food makes poor service worth it. This is not one of those times. You can do better than Amicci's.

This was my first time having Detroit-style pizza in Detroit, and Buddy's absolutely lived up to the hype. Without question, it's the best Detroit-style pizza I've ever had. Every bite was like an explosion of cheesy, crispy, comforting goodness. The crust was perfectly soft and airy on the inside with those incredible caramelized cheese edges that gave every bite an amazing crunch. Just a heads-up, this isn't fast food. Since it's a thick pan pizza made fresh, expect to wait a little longer, but it's 100% worth every minute. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant, which made the experience even better. I also had my first Michigan Mule, and it did not disappoint! From the outside, it wasn't immediately obvious where to enter, but once inside, I was blown away. The walls are packed with decades of memorabilia, articles, awards, murals, and the story of how Detroit-style pizza was born. It felt like eating in a piece of pizza history, not just another restaurant. As someone who has eaten Detroit-style pizza back home, I can already tell every future slice will be measured against Buddy's, and that's a tough standard to beat. If you want authentic Detroit-style pizza from the place that started it all, this is a must-visit. Thank you, Buddy's, for an unforgettable meal. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Detroit!

Felt homie which we loved. Small parking lot as well. We arrived about 20 mins after opening. This place can get busy /packed fast but is worth the wait! We read and watched…read morereviews from a bunch of places and decided to see what the excitement was about Michigan & Trumbull. We researched the menu and decided to order ahead so that we could maximize our travel time. We arrived, and there was a small parking lot which was great since we had my elderly mother with us. I think there may have been additional parking across the street. We noticed there were picnic tables outside where people were eating pizza and upon walking in to pick up our pizza, we saw some limited indoor seating. We went to sit in a booth and were abruptly told that seating is not for "carry out customers," but we were welcome to sit outside. Ok? Their website said nothing about there being any seating, and after traveling four hours, we would have enjoyed some drinks and maybe some side dishes in addition to our pizza if the employees weren't so rude. They didn't even ask if we'd like to order something additional. So, we went outside to eat. The pizza was good, but honestly, nothing special. We ALWAYS order a cheese pizza so we can truly compare it to other pizzas. We ordered extra mozzarella on our cheese, and I'm unsure of how much cheese they normally put on a cheese pizza, but the extra cheese was no more than the other pizzas we ordered. We also ordered a pepperoni which had to the good little pepperonis that curl up. Yum! In addition we ordered a specialty pizza called "The Long Drive Home." It had vodka sauce, sausage and banana peppers. This was a crowd favorite. The sausage has incredible flavor and combines really well with the peppers and vodka sauce. I personally love vodka sauce. This one wasn't creamy like you find on pasta, but was good. Finally we did a white pizza with all cheese, ricotta and black pepper. It was also good. The garlic aioli could have a little more flavor. Not sure if there wasn't enough to taste it or if it just needs more seasoning. So, overall, the pizza is nothing special and I would recommend going for the special toppings before worrying about the extra cheese. The ambiance of the restaurant is that of many city restaurants--small, loud, nothing fancy. The picnic tables were fine. Thankfully it was not too hot and we were able to enjoy our time.

Fluffy bread and a pleasant crust, this pizza parlor introduced me to some of the better pizzas during my stay. I got the Meat Lovers and the Big Mack to try. The Meat Lovers is what you expect, just a good amount of meat to pair with the large amount of dough and cheese. It's a bit oily and heavy, so the Big Mack was actually my favorite due to the lighter nature and the accurate taste compraison to an actual Big Mac. Beer was also great. I've been getting into beer lately and wanted to try some Michigan-brewed beer and the options as well as the taste did not disappoint. Service was good. I let them know that I wasn't from Michigan and it was my first week there and they gave me a good run-down of the menu. Their recommendations were solid and they leave us unattended for too long. I wish there was a bit more table space at the communal tables, but there's only so much you can do with the size of the restaurant.

For a starter, the cashew Caesar salad ($8) was ordered. It came with mixed greens, house-made cashew Caesar dressing, fried shallots, and vegan parmesan. This was very tasty. It was unique with the fried shallot addition. The dressing was just enough. It all appeared very fresh and crisp. The cheese had somewhat of an odd texture, but not a big deal. For a meal, the lobster roll pizza ($45) was ordered. This was so unique that it had to be tried. It came with 6 oz. wild caught lobster, herb crème fraiche, celery and onion brunoise, Cape Cod chips, and chives with drawn butter and lemon. This was very rich, so the addition of the lemon juice and crunchy chips really helped offset that. It was also heavy due to the components incorporated. The lobster appeared fresh and there was plenty of it. The butter was not even needed, but solid for a slight dip. The crème fraiche was solid and different. The crust was crispy and great too. Will I go back? I would, yeah.
