While I waited, I called the number listed on their storefront to verify if someone was on their way or if I was waiting for no reason. No one answered--the call just rang a handful of time and ended with a voicemail box message. I waited until 10:22 am when I decided to call it quits. There was a new person at the desk. When I asked for my shirts to be laundered (as they always were), he pointed to one and said that it had to be dry cleaned. He then tells me that it would be Monday before I can get them back. He then hands me a ticket for 3x the price I normally pay while mumbling something about the price being too cheap. Seems like this place is having issues (perhaps financial) and this person was there to overcharge loyal customers to make up for the gap. To be clear, here are my issues: 1. An attempt was made to overcharge me. 2. I was asked to pay upfront for the over charge, which indicates distrust And potential racism. 3. This individual did not care that I was a regular and that I was able to quote the prices that I normally pay. The owner (whose name escapes me at the moment) was beyond amazing! She was able to size my dress and fit it in just under 2weeks which was great because I ended up loosing a lot of weight and she resized it again for me and had it perfectly ready 4 days before my big day so I didn't have to stress.
