After the service was completed, I observed debris remaining in multiple sections of the gutter system and took photographs documenting my concerns. Based on what I observed, I did not believe the entire gutter system had been fully cleaned as described in the scope of work. I contacted the company on the day of the service and requested a follow-up visit. Although a return visit was discussed, it ultimately never took place, and my concerns regarding the completeness of the cleaning were never fully addressed. Because of this, I did not feel the work fully matched my expectations for a complete gutter cleaning. To be fair, ASF did perform significant work, including gutter repairs and cleaning in other areas, and the company ultimately worked with me to reach a mutually agreed resolution of the matter. Future customers may wish to inspect the gutters carefully after service and document any concerns promptly.

This company installed a new roof on my condo building a few years before I bought my unit. Not…read morelong after I moved in, we developed a leak, and they came right back out to investigate. They were incredibly thorough. They ran multiple flood tests and found nothing wrong with the roof itself. Follow-up spray tests traced the leak to where the roof meets the siding. The siding had been replaced by a different contractor after the roof went in, and that connection wasn't done the way the roofers had recommended, yet they still ended up replacing almost the entire roof under warranty. I honestly can't think of many roofers who would do that. Most would have pointed to the siding and moved on. They worked closely with a siding contractor I brought in to fix it, and the two of them problem-solved together really well until the issue was fully resolved. These guys do great work, show up on time, and keep showing up until the job is done. I couldn't recommend them more, and I'll be using them for all future roofing work in the city.

I had leaky gutters and talked to several contractors about a new installation. The tricky thing is…read morethat I have a slate roof which really shouldn't be walked on and Steve really stood out bc he was the only one who said he can get a boom lift to get to the roof so he wont have to walk on it. Everyone else pretty much said, we'll try to be careful but cant guarantee anything which wasn't comforting to hear. True to his word, he and his associate Ebe never walked on the roof and managed to use the boom lift to do the entire installation. They actually had to upgrade the boom lift from a 40 ft to a 65 ft in the middle of the project but Steve still honored the original contract price. As if that wasn't enough, we also had some old leaks on the roof that Steve was kind enough to help us with while he was up there. Its been a great experience working with Steve and honestly so refreshing to see such a good guy in the trade. I loved that at the end he said "those are our gutters now (ie mine and his) and we will be here if anything happens to them" - he truly takes ownership and pride for his craftsmanship.

Our estimator gave me incorrect information in developing our contract, telling me our downspouts including the downspout attachments that went underground, would be fully cleaned out during our service. When they did not clean the downspout attachments, they told me they don't do underground attachments even though the estimator told me this was included in our pricing. I paid the majority of our bill, leaving about $230 balance while I disputed the unfinished work. Eight months ago, I sent an email that was never responded to and never heard from the company again. Then yesterday when their legal department called me out of the blue to threaten to send me to collections over the unpaid balance. I replied immediately to explain the situation and their response was to say if the balance wasn't paid by the end of the day it would be sent to collections. They alleged they had called and emailed about the outstanding invoice (they hadn't - I went through my emails, spam and my phone and found no evidence of any attempts on their end to contact me). I was shocked that they took such an aggressive, threatening approach to a customer who a) they dropped the ball with and b) who was actively in good faith trying to resolve the dispute immediately once they brought it to my attention. We had a misunderstanding about the scope of work - I would have appreciated some acknowledgement or apology on their end vs. them dropping the ball completely then coming back out of nowhere to threaten me with collections. Just not a good way to do business and I am left with a very sour taste from dealing with the legal threats.

We received quotes ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 from other roofers and assumed we'd be paying out of pocket. Instead of trying to sell us a repair, Carol suggested we contact Velux directly, as she thought the skylight might still be under warranty. She was absolutely right. Velux confirmed that the skylight is covered and will inspect and repair it under warranty.
