Don't let the relative lack of Yelp reviews put you off - he knows what he's doing. We met Tim once in person, and once via FaceTime. Each time I left with the impression that he's a person that just *understands* music at a deep level - and that's what you want in a DJ. Someone who can read the room and play the *right* song. We ended up trusting Tim to just play what he thought was right - we gave him a list of songs we liked, but other than that let him pick the music. It turned out to be the right choice - our dance floor was packed for hours, until we turned the lights up and made people leave! Some other things are notable too - Tim was very helpful when picking out a "first dance" song; he was able to provide good music at the very last minute for walking in/out of the ceremony (because we forgot to pick something!). He kept sneaking us drinks whenever he saw we were out. He coordinated a surprise as well - my now-husband sang a song to me on the dance floor. They have a demonstration set up so you can actually see what the lights will look like on your wedding day so you're not picking randomly through a package you can only visualize through description. They are also willing to crank up their sound system and show you their computers just to help you understand how it all works. He also said we could request any song and as long as it was available on iTunes, he would have it for us, with no additional charge. My (then fiance) husband was SOLD. I was contacted by the DJ we were going to be working with about two weeks before our wedding. He asked me if I had any specific requests. I did. About a week before the wedding I emailed him a specific list of songs I needed played during dinner and then a couple requests (as well as a couple of "if you play these songs, I'll shoot you" songs) for dancing. On the day of, I didn't even need to talk to the DJ once. While some people would think that is a bad thing, I thought it was excellent. What's even better is that if (miraculously) they don't have something, they'll get it at no cost to you!! They have a few packages to choose including simple setups for just music to large setups including various light machines and other fun things. They have an on line area where you can setup play lists of specific songs or just genre's. Or you can simply just tell them what NOT to play. You can customize any part of the experience including how involved the DJ will be with your event. Anything from "just play the music" to "get the party started!!" They'll do whatever it takes to make sure that you and, more importantly, your guests have a great time. We hired them for our wedding this past June at Brookfield Zoo. They arrived on time and setup without any interference from us. They stuck to our play list and took some requests from our guests while being respectful of our "no play" list. The DJ took care of all announcements and was articulate and friendly. To be honest, I don't remember seeing the DJ that much even though we were dancing a good part of the night.
