AMERISERVE IS THE WORST. Too bad there is not a 0 star option. They repiped our entire house with copper piping. We went with them because the company had been around for a long time and there was a "Lifetime" warranty. Now we are having pinhole leaks in multiple places. The 1st pinhole caused 35k+ in damages to the wood floor - I had to call another plumbing company to repair the pinhole in the pipe because Ameriserve doesn't answer their phone and their mail box is full - also says that the website is under construction. I assumed they were out of business. Fast forward 6 months and now there is another pinhole leak in a different spot! I called Ameriserve again and to my surprise someone answered the phone. I told him that Ameriserve had repiped our house and we need help because we are having pinhole leaks. "Mark" said he would have a technician call me back to schedule a time to come out. No call back - that was 5 days ago. I have been calling multiple times for the past 5 days and no one answers the phone. I have sent multiple emails - no response. I had to call another plumber to come out to stop the leak. There are multiple pinhole leaks in the crappy copper that Ameriserve used and now I have to pay another company for an entire new repipe! read more

In February of 2015 we had more than one leak due to poor pipes. Ameriserve was recommended and we hired them to repipe our entire house. They were very responsive and provided a lifetime guarantee on their work. We were very pleased when the job was completed. In July 2019 we had water leaking from the fan in our downstairs bathroom. We had someone come out to open the ceiling to see what the issue was. It was determined to be a pipe leak on the pex joint. We immediately called Ameriserve and the owner Bob came the next day. Bob inspected the situation and took responsibility to honor the work from 2015 and approved the work to be done. Because the fan was badly damaged from the water leaking, we got a new fan installed while we were waiting for Ameriserve to come and make the repairs to the pipe and ceiling. A few days later two men came to repair the pipe and put the ceiling back to the original condition. While the workmen were very nice, they were not qualified to to do the drywall and texturing work. They were here 7 hours for the section in the photos. As you can see, the texture and color are not close to the original ceiling. The next day we called Staci to complain about the look of the ceiling and asked to talk to Bob. We called Staci every day for over a week and never once received a call back. Now we received a bill for $250 from Ameripipefor pipe repair!! The company is not only leaving us with poor workmanship in our ceiling but trying to blame us for the leak. We have a slab leak in our house. Our water usage more than doubled last month. However, we cannot find the location of the leak. We called Ameriserve and explained we need help finding the leak, then fixing/repiping. The lady on the phone said that Ameriserve would do that. Bob from Ameriserve immediately refused to help detect the leak. He said he would only repipe our house. He then quickly left. We ignored the bad Ameriserve Internet reviews, because we had a good experience with Ameriserve at my MIL's house. However, the experience with Bob was rude and unprofessional. This company had a different yelp page with much different reviews. I don't know what happened to that yelp page, and why there are only very recent all 5 star reviews now. These guys were terrible, but they were very pleasant to deal with. They couldn't figure out what they were doing. It was just installing a garbage disposal. By the time they did get it installed, it was 9:00 pm. They flipped the switch, and guess what, defective unit, no power, no noise nothing. They had to remove it so they could go all the way back up to Northridge to exchange it. They could install our old one back in again, but with how late it was, they wanted to go home, and we wanted to go to bed. So, we had no use of our kitchen sink the next day. I decided to go buy my own for them to install. I went down to the Home Depot and bought it. They still had not gotten back to me, and I needed to use the sink. I ended up installing it myself. **I was there and did the hiring and overseeing of it for my elderly mother, that's why you don't have a client with my name. The owner, Bob Park, provided me with the estimate on a PEX repipe. He was probably one of the rudest salespersons I have ever met. He actually removed his mask to deliver his sales pitch! I asked him to please put it on to which he replied, "But I have to lick my fingers to turn the pages." Gross. I just moved back about 8' and let him pitch. The estimate was high (I told him so), so he offered me the "sign up today" discount of $775. I told him I really don't like playing games with the bottom-line cost. He quickly stood up, started collecting his things, and said, "Well, I see I'm not going to get your business. I've dealt with people like you." What?? If this is how he treats potential customers, he's definitely losing business. Would he have said that to a man? Doubt it. I wouldn't use Ameriserve if it was free. We called Ameriserve last Saturday after discovering a slab leak. Bob came out to our house within the hour and explained how we could have our house repiped instead of just fixing the one leak we knew of. He said his crew could start work the next Tuesday. We agreed to a very fair price and sure enough a crew came on Tuesday. They worked all day and completed the plumbing as promised, very professional and kept the house as clean as they could. The next day a crew came out to patch the walls and retexture them. Again very skilled and clean. I had three quotes and Bob (the owner) come with the lowest bid. Their crew of 5 guys finished the job (two bathrooms, a kitchen, a washer and dryer, water heater, two outside lines) in one day. They replaced everything from the street. They taped down the working area and plastic up the remainder of the house and clean up after. Did a walk through with me at the end. This is the first time I have ever done a review like this. If I could give negative stars I would. In 2012 we had our home repiped by this company. 2 months ago I woke up to a waterfall in my laundry room. Over the next 6 weeks I had 7 additional leaks. The ceiling in my office collapsed three times. I have been patient and only asked that my home be returned to its original condition. The office area has wallpaper with a border. The workers repairing the ceiling tore the border off and left pieces of paper falling off. The owner came to my house today and in my presence agreed to restore my home. When the workers came to do the work he directed them not to touch the wall paper. The works also said that Ana, the owners wife told them just remove the paper and paint. Don't replace the drywall where it was drenched. I have had three different crews here and while I don't want to create trouble for them they all stated he's not doing the right thing! We met Bob, the owner, and signed a contract and got moving! The actual work was done very efficiently by one of their teams. The problem came a few weeks later when the brand new pipes starting rattling in our walls. I called Ameriserve and got a woman with a very bad attitude. A week later, the original team came back out and cut into our walls and ceiling again (after we already had it re-painted). I called Ameriserve to find out how we go about getting them to reimburse me for the cost of painting the walls and ceilings AGAIN due to their poor work. I was again given lots of attitude by the woman who answered the phone. She told me "we don't pay for painting." I told her I understood that but she continued to repeat the same line over and over. I requested to speak with Bob and she said the best she could do was pass along my message....and then hung up before getting my info. I called back consistently for two weeks - sometimes she just hung up on me when I said who was calling. Other times she gave me attitude and told me she would pass along the message. During that two week time, Bob called me back one time - from a blocked number, after hours. I didn't answer, and he left me his office phone number (he was calling from his cell) to call him back...which I did immediately. And never heard from him again! NOTHING! Found an advertisement in one of the local OC home magazines and was a little skeptical but added them to the list to obtain quotes - we ended up getting 4 quotes to become educated and get a feel for what vendors were out there. Ameriserve specializes in re piping homes with pex or copper lines and not general plumbing. The process in obtaining a quote was simple and Bob the owner came out to assess and give an estimate ( all the way from Northridge I might add ). He wasn't pushy or a typical sales person which we appreciated. Pricing did come in lower than 2 general plumbers but we also wanted quality and competitive pricing. In the end we chose ameriserve and are very happy. Carlos and his crew came out and were neat, efficient and speedy for our project. They were done in about 3 days and this vendor includes patching up the drywall and most plumbers will not include that in their pricing. The only note I might add is that on their extensive list of references, they should only include ones from the past 2-4 years as some I called on were from a long time ago and they didn't remember details about the repipe job. read more
