TEFLON tape?! hahaha i ain't stupid. once they snaked and was not able to get through, they said that the next step was to find the clog in the wall open the wall cut out the pipe and replace (a 1.5k+ job) i asked if there were any other options like hydro-jetting or such and they said hydro jetting would spew out everywhere not able to be done second floor i did my due diligence and called a few contractors that knew plumbers that werent on yelp a guy came in the next day, hydro-jetted the clog out in 30 minutes without needed to do any of the above, and only charged me $60 lol beware of the upsell! + though, since they did not get the clog out they did not charge me, just off putting on the blatant upsell. the owner seemed nice though.

Over time, the wood started rotting and paint started peeling off. With El Niño approaching, I wanted to get this fixed. I spent several weeks researching handymen and door repair specialists. Most people I contacted wanted to completely replace both the door frame and the door itself which was quite costly. Additionally, my door and the upper jambs were still in great condition, and I didn't want to be wasteful by throwing those away. One person told me that this sort of repair was too difficult and didn't want to take it on. Ivan responded that he had fixed similar issues before and quoted me a reasonable price. Ivan arrived on time and got right to work. Something that I really appreciated was he took the time to explain step by step what he was going to do. The end result looked fantastic. He was able to replace the bottom jams, paint, and seal everything to the point where it looked like there had never been any damage in the first place. We had rain a week after the repair was done and my door jambs were bone dry the entire time. One thing I do want to note is that Ivan does have a a team that works under him. If you want Ivan specifically, you will need to request him but know that you might need to wait a little longer because he is very popular. I don't foresee having any more door issues since he did such a great job but if I ever do, I will definitely contact Ivan again.

They are scummy salesmen…read more I'm having a few issues with the water filtration system at a rental home I own, so I called to have a technician come out and take a look. He spent an hour talking about how great their new systems are, but after he left, I realized the water fill line for the salt tank wasn't even attached, which might explain why the unit isn't working properly. I would expect a water filtration technician performing a maintenance check to notice that a critical water line was disconnected, but everyone makes mistakes. So I called them back and scheduled a 2-4 PM window for someone to come out and hopefully fix the issue. I even received a call at 8:00 AM confirming the appointment. Then, at 3:00 PM--an hour into the arrival window--the owner of the company called me, confused about the issue, and said they don't fix units like mine. He told me I need a new unit because of an error code, and that NO ONE was actually scheduled to come out. The only reason they came out for an estaminet was to convince me to buy a new unit classic bate and switch BS. They had no intent to help me fix my unit at all. I planned my whole day around this appointment. The owner seemed confused why I did not just want to buy a new unit. Call me crazy, but I don't want to spend thousands of dollars if all I have to do is replace a 3-dollar plastic water line. I tend to start with one of the franchise shops like the Drain/Rooter guys because of the special coupons. What started out as $49 quickly turned into $125 for snaking and when the tech couldn't unclog the the pipe he recommend their hydro or descaling treatment. Both options were over $1000. I thanked and tipped him for his time and moved onto plan B, search Yelp. Only Plumbing caught my eye and felt like a local Mom and Pop shop. called and ended up speaking to Oscar who's approach was kind, gentle and was super knowledgeable giving out many free tips and advice. He laid out all the option we can try and was available later in the evening if I can wait. My stressed and impatient self wanted someone out sooner rather than later so try searching online hoping for a fix by dinner. Well this was a bus when the second guys showed up, looked at the situation and went right into recommended hydro-jetting at a super high cost of over $2000. Thanked and tipped him for his time. Remembering Oscar's advice to descale instead of hydro-jet because of the liability from the second floor I knew at this point i needed to take a deep breath, say serenity now and wait for Oscar to be available. Oscar went above and beyond for over an hour trying to snake the clog hoping for the cheapest fix. Soon realizing we needed to bring in the big guns and try descaling the pipe. my pipe had smaller diameter but this talented Oscar modify the chains to fit my pipe. Let me just say the sound of continuous running water was music to our ears. I can feel the stress melting away as I realize he did it.
