If I could give negative stars I would. For a company that used to be the premiere provider of propane, this company has gone to the toilet. There are no local numbers - The call center must be in India/China because you can't understand them and I would also put forth that they don't understand you! The company is completely unresponsive to requests even from corporate customers. I called to get quotes on 2 100# tanks of propane for our shop heaters (we already get tow motor fuel) and was told "we don't sell that".?????? What do you sell to residences and campers then?.... I tried to email a local branch through their website and received absolutely no response. I'm in the process of moving our company away from this company and would advise anyone else to do the same and/or don't start doing business with them in the first place. read more

Have had this propane service for years and always paid upon fill in full. Pricing is ridiculous. Let alone their fees. Cancelled service today when I called for a fill and was told it was 3.11 a gallon. Received a call after canceling and was told there is a 59.99 tank removal fee. Just made me glad to cancel. Salem propane told me no fees and their price is 2.15 a gallon. Thank you Salem propane. Just called Amerigas to set up tank removal and was told there is 149.00 pump out fee with no refund for what's in tank, which is 100.00 gallons!!! Also was told we'd owe the 59.00 removal fee. Talk about CROOKS!!! 100 gallons at their prices, wow, they really are desperate to get money. Well considering they lost another good customer, ME. And you best believe I will let anyone and everyone know, "DO NOT HAVE AMERIGAS FOR YOUR PROPANE COMPANY." read more

Horrible company. Take weeks to fill orders, if your tank runs empty while waiting they charge $150 to do a 5 min leak check. They have shorted my fill ups (last one was 50lbs short but never saw a credit for it). Go with any other company!!! read more

This is the most ridiculous company ever! I have been calling them every month for a year! We have never used their device but have one of there propane tanks in our yard that they will not pick up! The people we bought our house from used them and called to have the tank removed ! This has been since March of 2021!!! No one will return calls ! No one will show up! I'm going to send the company an bill for renting my yard! Horrible business!!!!!!! read more

Terrible service. They offer no way to contact a local branch. They have screwed up my delivery 3 times now and I keep getting directed to an overseas call center with static in the line. One of the screw ups was a wrong delivery day when we were not home and when the driver called he even laughed at how bad their company has gotten because of the customer service changes. read more

Worst service ever- They have taken my money and have not shown up or responded or picked up my calls. I have neen on hold over 2 hours. They even had a robot call to say they were coming tomorrow- and so we took off work, and they haven't arrived or called at all! *********************I WOULD RATE AMERIGAS NEGATIVE STARS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE************ This company is truly awful! I almost ran out of propane and had to contact an executive through linked in to get my tanks even filled! As previous statements say always promised a manager call but NEVER happened and I called almost everyday! I was truly concened that we were running out of propane in the middle of winter! Their excuse was that they have to move my tanks away from the air conditioner unit before they could fill them. I had to plead with them and argue that this is the middle of winter, I am running out of propane and I am not using the air conditioner so why can t we fill these and move the tanks in the spring! Finally after contacting the executive they called me back to make arrangements. On Feb 8 they filled our tanks to full capacity 149 gallons. On March 8 they filled another 58 gallons at $1.12 more per gallon! There is no freaking way we used 58 gallons of propane at a house that has a dual furnace with heat pump and we are only there on the weekends! I am just LIVID!!! If you want to move to another company and have gas left in your tank they charge you a $150 pumping fee to empty the tanks! So I will use what I have in there and when empty I am definately seeking out another company for my business. Amerigas is a shady operation that has the worst customer focus that I have ever dealt with, Avoid if at all possible!!! read more

We live in the Green area and our gas on budget is $200 a month. Me and my sister retired and we keep the heat down and our gas prices went up. the lady said to pay for other people because we had a hard winter, well I should just jack my heat up then . I am looking for other gas company read more

Amerigas is always prompt in delivering and they always keep propane in out tank ! Customer service is always friendly and helpful!

See other Amerigas listings for reviews with accurate portrayal of their dishonest practices. They do not keep your tank full. Not once, but two different years 2016 and 2017, I woke up on a cold January morning with the house not being heated (50 degrees in the house make an unhappy customer). We called and they sent someone to fill it, but we were on their automated plan and so never checked the propane for ourselves. Rather than check it ourselves and pay premium, always rising prices at Amerigas we switched and are so glad we did. We had to buy the propane tank from them, but it was worth it. read more
