AmeriFence was the 2nd most affordable option but we decided to go with them because 1) their customer service and 2) the extensive warranties they include. Mike Speek Jr was the rep who came out to give us a quote. He was awesome, professional and gave us all the info we needed. He wanted to make the sale and really sweetened the deal for us which was awesome. We went with an aluminum fence and wanted to make sure it was durable and would last. The warranties they offer are more expansive than any other company we got quotes from. Which makes us as the customer feel very confident in our purchase knowing that if anything were to go wrong, or break, or bend, we will be taken care of. After getting two more quotes, we chose to go with Amerifence. We asked that the dirt hauling be included in our final price. The morning of the installation, the two men arrived on time and got to work promptly, completing the job in just two hours! Granted, it was only a small section of fence and a single gate, but I was nonetheless impressed. The custom-sized gate works well, the fence is very sturdily built, and they even fixed an old, warped section of our existing fence without being asked. We had our 6-foot cedar privacy fence installed in September 2020. This is our second Amerifence, our first lasted 10 years. We paid to have the prior fence removed when they were installing the new one. We knew we needed to let the fence cure for awhile before sealing/staining. Because of that, the weather, and lack of finding a contractor were not able to stain the fence until June 2021. We did find that a few of the boards needed replaced. Mike came out himself to fix those boards for us before we got the fence stained. Amerifence did a great job and our fence is beautiful. Sometimes it's hard to reach their sales team, but the manager came out last time and resolved the issue for us quickly. I chose this company because of a fence I saw in another neighborhood that I thought was so pretty. I wish I had looked at reviews first because I NEVER would have chosen this company. Shannon the salesman is definitely just that. He is a fast talker and talked me into decisions I wish I would have had more information about before deciding. Amy who helps get the install date planned and deals with hoa issues was pretty good. The head installer Jesus was professional and kind and listened and tried to help fix things I was upset about during install. One of his helpers was a lazy layabout who literally was eating potato chips and laying in my yard when I came out to see how it was going. This same helper acted annoyed at me when I asked him to pick up huge chunks of cement and take them away. As you can see from pictures dirt was not hauled away as contracted and paneling was ripped off to "fix" it and there is a huge gap in the gate and there is a huge hole in the ground that is calf high right in the middle of the gate that I fell into in the mud because the hole had been covered with dirt and the cylinder in the ground for my double gate was never cemented in but just placed in the ground. I called to set up a date to fix it and I said I wanted to be home when the person came. I called back that day the person was coming and confirmed. I was home, but no one came to the door to let me know they were there. Now today I went to use the gate after it sat unused for weeks and the rod is stuck into the cylinder and the cylinder is still not attached into the ground, but there is cement around it. I called and spoke to the repair lady (Janice?) who is so annoying to speak with because she interrupts all the time and never ever offers an apology for the annoyance of repairs on a brand new fence. So I explicitly told her I do not want anyone on my property without coming to the door first so I can be present when they are fixing the problem again. So I am not holding my breath... There are a few more things wrong with the fence like dents in the paneling and a large cut into the vinyl that has black on it on the front of the double gate, it seems like a pretty cheaply made fence in my opinion. The installers never asked me to inspect the site line when they placed it, like the contract states they will. The site line was incorrect. Also this company uses and abuses their installers - those three men spent 8hrs at my house with no bathroom break and no lunch break (the one kid did get chips though!). Shame on Amerifence for how they treat their workers and how they treat their customers and for their terrible products! read more

The fence installation went well with the exception of cleanup. There was still a lot of mud where they drilled. That is not that big of a deal. My biggest issue is follow up. Within a week one of my gates has settled to the point that it won't close properly. Caps were promised where holes were drilled. The finished product looks better than my old fence but there were several problems in the process. They parked their trailer in my shared driveway and it partially blocked my neighbor from being able to back out. The trailer then got a flat tire so they didn't move it for a day. There was 2ft section of fence completely missing, in which when I asked them to complete it the worker replied "oh you want a fence there?" as if there weren't a gaping whole between my neighbor and I's property. The crew broke my rotating composter and tried to hide it by moving it to another place in my yard, not mentioning it to me. So, yes, the install was great. The fence posts; however, bend every time my little kids kick a ball into them and good luck getting the company to come fix them. I've been emailing and calling for months and nothing. Every time I speak to someone I get, "Sorry. We are busy. I'll look into it and call you next week." They never contact me. We hired Amerifence to install a privacy fence at our home. They we're running a $300 off special with a free second gate. Shannon (sales rep) was very patient with us as we kept going back and forth about whether or not to enclose our AC unit in our backyard. It took about 30 days from contract signing to fence installation. On the day of installation, the installers were here promptly at the time specified and worked diligently to put up the new fence. We had a really great experience experience with Amerifence and I find Customer Service can leave a bit to be desired these days. It was exceptional from start to finish. Mike came and took a look after we sustained storm damage a while back. Amerifence installed 294' of 6' cedar fence on my property on May 27th, 2023. 284' of that fence looks fantastic. It went up in one day and they even installed it a couple days ahead of schedule. They did install a double gate, each gate being 5'. Immediately after installation, I could tell that my gate was not right. It being Memorial Day weekend, I was not able to call and notify Amerifence until May 30th a Tuesday. The fence was installed on a Saturday. I then had an appointment for June 12th for them to come and repair my gate('s). No one showed up. I assumed that I probably had the date wrong so I called on the 13th and left a voicemail asking if I had the date wrong. June 14th I had not received a response, so I called and left a voicemail again. No reply all day again. On the evening of the 14th, I reached out to the salesman (Brad) that sold me the fence and asked him if he could have someone in the service department reach out to me. I then received a call on the 15th from Lori telling me that someone would be out on the 19th to fix my gate('s). Someone did come out, and they informed me that my gate was in terrible shape and could not be rebuilt. It would need a complete replacement. He said he would go home that night, build me a new gate, and return first thing in the morning (June 20th). He did not show up. I called the office on the 21st and left a voicemail that was not returned. I again contacted Brad to find out why I was being ignored, and people were not showing up when they promised they would. Brad assured me he was on top of it, and they would take care of my gate. On the 23rd, I get a call from the lead repair tech, and he is coming out on June 24th to look at my gate. Again, he confirms that the gate is beyond repair. He agrees to replace the gate and a cracking post and leave me with 15 extra boards to maintain my fence. He promises to return on June 26th or possibly the 27th at the latest to replace the gate and post. June 27th, exactly one month since my fence was installed (also paid in full), and no one showed up again. I get a call at 8 pm on the 27 and am promised that someone will be out first thing in the morning. Here we are on the 28th, I get a phone call at 10 am to assure me that someone is coming because they clearly were not there first thing in the morning. I am not making this up, they still did not show up. I am not one to leave reviews, but at this point, I feel completely disrespected. I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran, they gave me a veteran discount so they know this. At this point, I am almost at a point where I have no choice but to pay another fence company to come and fix my gate which is a safety hazard to my family and fails to provide the barrier that the fence was designed to do. read more

The latch to one of my gates broke, I contacted Judy and she was able to help. A couple of months later the same latch broke again. I called for an estimate. They were out to my house three days later. I got the estimate in late August and was only able to schedule installation September 24 due to my HOA not responding quickly for approval. Amerifence won't install in a neighborhood with an HOA without HOA approval. Got approval and they called a few days later to say they had a cancellation and asked if September 14 worked for installation. They called three times to confirm and we're very attentive to my questions. Fence was installed today and is beautiful. Workers arrived when I was told they would and were done by about 5 pm today (same day). We're delighted with the fence and the customer service. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Our ordeal started with a "salesman" coming to our home, selling us on the "Certainteed" name brand product, 6' privacy fence with a beautiful 6' to 4' sloped fence in the rear of our home. A few days later, we called and scheduled the installation of our fence for 4/21/2016. As the date drew closer, my fiance attempted several times to contact our salesman in an effort to confirm our install. When he finally was able to get a hold of him, the salesman explained that he cannot confirm our install date due to a material shortage of the sloped Certainteed panels that we had chosen. Once off the phone, my fiance contacted the Certainteed factory (here in Indiana) and lo and behold - they had the panels! There was never a shortage. My fiance insisted on speaking to the Manager of this "salesman" and the Manager acted like he was equally disgusted with the fact that his salesman sold us something that they didn't carry (EVER) and that they would not even be using the Certainteed product on our fence. Knowing that we were on a deadline, my fiance and I settled for a sloped fence that was less appealing and the Manager knocked some minor money off for our inconvenience. The day of installation, it was pouring rain and they sent two (2) gentleman out to install the entire fence. The gentlemen were nice enough and helped us work through some placement issues. Unfortunately, along with rain comes mud so, our yard was left with a lot of ankle-deep holes made by their work boots, all the sod that had grown from the seed was trampled on and destroyed, our screened in porch (with a brand new rug) where they stored their power equipment while working was a muddy mess as was our new front lawn where they scraped the mud off their boots and left it in huge clumps. Even better...the gate that they brought for our fence, was not a good fit for our landscape so, they left us with an installed fence and no gate. When I asked them when the gate would arrive, the gentleman said he has no idea because they are so busy. Three (3) days later, my fiance and I left for Mexico for six (6) nights, upon our return home we couldn't help but to notice that our gate had still not been installed. We each called Amerifence steadily for the next couple days with no return phone calls from the not-so-friendly woman in the office. In the meanwhile, I was leashing up my two(2) dogs and walking them at all hours of the day and night to potty because there was no gate on our fence...not even a temporary "something". On May 4th, 2016 at 11:30am I called the office again and had the nicer lady take a message regarding the fact that we had been paid in full and missing a gate for the last 13 days. She promised me a call back...Well, needless to say, that never happened so after waiting five (5) hours, I called the office back at 4:30pm, I was finally able to speak to the rude lady in the office, explained my situation and she made is sound like I was unreasonable for being upset because they "were busy and backed up due to the rain". She promised our gate install that Saturday (16 days after we were paid in full and had the fence up). SHAME ON US ASSUMING THAT THEY WOULD BRING A FENCE POST CAP THAT HAD BEEN MISSING SINCE DAY ONE AT THE TIME OF THE GATE INSTALLATION! I received a phone call early one morning and they did come out a day or two early with our gate. No one was home at the time so we were unable to address the missing fence post cap and two large dents in 1 of the panels. We are disgusted by this company because of the bait and switch on product, the lack of care and respect to our home, the fact that to this day, we still have not received everything that we paid for and the fact that they did not mention/try to remedy the two (2) huge dents in the one (1) panel. It's cheaper than other fence companies in the area because their customer service and transparency is cheap. First, it actually took me 2 months to get someone out here to give me an estimate. My parents gave me the card if the person who gave them an estimation. I talked to them and then they totally ghosted me. Second, the person that measured our yard apparently didn't know where the fence could and couldn't go along driveways/ streets/ etc. so they charged me for more fencing than I needed and took the extra pieces with them instead of giving them to me even though I paid for them. To make matters worse, they called me to charge the rest of the amount and when I brought this up, they were just like "ok, well I'll charge the card on file". Now for the actual fence installation. This information isn't about the workers that actually installed the fence, but communication about installation. The guys that did it, did a good job and I'm very happy with the fence itself. They're the only reason they don't get 1 Star. They don't communicate with you at all. I had to call the day before my installation date to make sure they were No one ever told us about the haul away dirt option. The "leave dirt" option was automatically filled on by whoever created the estimate. BUT it's almost impossible to catch/ see it. I had to zoom in on the PDF. I swear it's in size 4 font. However, according to my parents who used them a month earlier (I just found this out last night when I told them about my experience. They were not told about the haul away option either. They workers asked them if they wanted them to haul it away, to which my dad replied "sure! You can put it in the empty lot next door". No one told them that this was an additional $300. When they called to ask about the charge all they got was "well they have to haul it off somewhere!" Which I get, BUT that's when they put it in their truck and actually take it somewhere else. Not 10 feet away. It's taken us 5+ hours to make our yard look barely presentable again and we still aren't done. read more

They installed my fence but the details we had agreed on in writing were not followed so they got my fence wrong. After 2 and a half months of waiting, they just decided to collect the final payment of $2770 and charge it to my credit card on file without my authorization. They still had not corrected my fence! Then the owner had the audacity to insinuate that I was lying when I told him what needed to be corrected when all the details were in writing from the beginning. Both my husband and I called more than 15x over 18 months post installation never to have a call returned. We were always tole "the person in that department is not in right now" and we would leave a message and nothing. Reading other reviews others have had many of the same problems that we have had: 1) Huge piles of dirt and cement left at every post, we called on this also several times even said we would pay to have it removed and no response. 2) Lack of response and customer service and when we get upset the primary lady answering the phone takes an attitude and doesn't feel anything is an issue. When we finally spoke with Frank the owner he completely backed his salesman and offered essentially nothing to fix the situation. 3) What the salesman sold and what we actually got, two different things. Also, not all of the fence was here at the time of install and supposedly it was "custom" and had all been ordered together. Finally able to get the Director of Sales on a call and was told that we would not dictate when he could come out and that he was extremely busy and could not get out to assess the fence for over two weeks. Given that we hired a different contractor to fix it. I brought up our concerns over their reviews on multiple sites and the salesman's exact words were "We can't fix it if we don't know about it.", how many times do you need to call? They push their lifetime warranty but what good is a warranty if there is never any action taken. We truly regret going with Amerifence and kick ourselves for not going with the second contender, but we went with price and the thickness of the fence. Although they were the cheapest, the quality of the fence is great the customer service is a serious issue. They were very professional and polite. My husband and I watched as 4 men put the fence up. It was pretty cool how efficient they were. It was like 100 degrees outside and they still kept going only taking small breaks like you would at any other job. After getting estimates for many companies for a fence installation since last year, I decided to go ahead and hire this company. They offered me a good affordable price. At first they were a bit difficult to get in contact with and I was going to give up but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were very busy. I finally got scheduled for service done and I was originally scheduled for 7/16 but offered to put me on the cancellation waiver list just in case someone else and offered to have my fence installed sooner. They did honor that waiver and came in on June 12th. The workers came in on time, but they accidentally cut my cable to my internet service so I had to deduct a star. However they were done in 7 hours and I really enjoy my new fence. I called customer service regarding the cable accident and they offer to cover the bill just in case I end up getting charged so this issue was handled successfully. read more

My wife and I have been planning on fencing in our yard every since we bought our first home over a year and a half ago. We love our home and didn't want just any fence, we wanted the right fence; one that would last, add value to our home, and compliment the neighborhood. We found that fence at Amerifence. We got other estimates but nobody could match the cost or quality; nobody else even came close to Amerifence. Mike came out for our estimate and we were impressed. He was very friendly and professional. Antonio and Julio installed our fence very well. They were efficient and courteous toward our neighbors and their plants. But, the gate caused us problems. Evidently it was built too large and needed to be redone to fit our driveway. Over the course of the next week after the install, I have NO IDEA what happened. I was told that it was mismeasured yet another time and had to redone once again. In order to get any information from the office or to get someone to answer my questions was like trying to get congress to get something done! Anyone that I talked with didn't know what was happening and they'd have to get back to me, which only happened after I'd call them back. Nobody seemed to take the lead to get my gate hung and make it right. Even Mike, who is an owner would never return my calls, and he was my contact from our estimate. This was extremely frustrating to us because Amerifence was paid all their money, yet did not seem to care to finish the job. Finally the day came when our fence arrived. Mike Jr. and Regan installed the gate for us. They were very friendly, but had no idea about the problems that existed before they arrived. A little later Mike (from the estimate) showed up to help. Not one time did I ever hear an apology for the problems we had experienced, or for not ever hearing back from him. During the install, I realized that Jr. and Regan did not know how to install the gate, so Mike was there to show them how... The gate is hung. It covers the drive. But that's about it. It only opens 90°. It is NOT right. It was not made right. It was not installed right. And on top of that, as you may imagine, nobody will even entertain talking about how it should be fixed. They have their money and can go to the next job to get their next check. I would be happy to give Amerifence 5 stars if only Amerifence would communicate, care that the customer is happy with their investment, and make an effort to finish the job completely. Along with a dozen others in my condo community, I put in a new fence provided by Amerifence. I was promised a fence that was level. It was NOT. It was also missing the crowns which, when installed later, blew off in the wind. Now, the gate does not close. Each time that I call for repairs, I am transferred to an extension which is never answered, just as my messages are never answered or attended to. I have never written a negative review of a business in my life, but in the case of Amerifence, I feel that it is more than merited.
