I like their offerings for woodworking and I am going back to take more classes…read more I am the type to want to do something and before I take the plunge to incorporate a hobby, I want to test it out and know about it before just going with it. After the fundamentals course, I enjoyed working with wood and the end result was fun to the touch. I didn't know wood could end up being so smooth. They carry Festool tools here and have a section for it. I am debating how much I should jump in. The people here are nice and helpful. They made me feel like I belong there.

I came for their Oktoberfest, which had many vendors selling unique woodwork items. I actually needed quality wood glue to repair a wooden dresser I inherited that was my 90 year old mom's childhood dresser in England. I think wood glue should work, and this place had several to choose from. I bought the smallest size as I don't need much. The workers are helpful and friendly. I didn't see if there were rooms in back for people to work or take classes, but judging by the name of this place, I assume so. They also had the cutest resident pug chilling out in the middle of the store. I was going to take a picture, but he moved on.

Finding a DMV company that is truly committed to offering green/environmentally safe products and…read morefollowing installation that support those products is difficult. I did my research & only two companies fit the bill--Amicus Green & one other (who promised to get back to me and never did). From the moment I walked into the showroom, Jason was warm and supportive--not at all pushy and had good suggestions on how to proceed with my home project. Mine was not a huge renovation project but the selection and install of a large quantity of carpet. Nonetheless, Jason treated my project with the same attention as if I was working on a major re-do and followed through with my need for samples, manufacturer questions and suggestions. In the end, all the timelines were met and Jason surprised me with being able to negotiate a nice discount from the manufacturer. For those who want to rennovate or build with green, safe selections, Amicus Green is a terrific choice both with know-how and moving things forward in a supportive and timely way.

Great customer service,…read more A two yr old front door lock set failed. Elizabeth at Push Pull diagnosed the problem using photographs we emailed to her. We tried one easy solution that didn't work. Then, Elizabeth ordered a replacement (at no charge to us) that was delivered in less than two weeks. We are fortunate that we live only three miles from the store. Although, I am sure that we would receive the same great service if we had to ship the lock back and forth. Had to bring in management to get the salesman to finally set that up. Then they sent one company out to take measurements and tell us what to expect, and a totally different company (Quality Kitchens) actually did the work, which they did very differently from what the first company said would happen (it's a good foot lower than we were told). They told me the inspection would happen in about a week. A month goes by and no inspection. I contact the salesman at Home Depot (Amit), and he says he'll "look into it." Another month or so goes by - no word. I get hold of them again and they have to nerve to tell me "the homeowner is responsible for arranging safety inspections." WSSC does gas inspections in Rockville, and their regs say the gasfitter is required to ensure the inspection happens within a matter of days after installation. Adding to the fun, the oven's steam clean' feature doesn't work. Frigidaire came out and told me thy can't service it because it wasn't installed correctly. Now I have to contact WSSC directly to make sure this thing doesn't explode. In short: don't use Home Depot Design Center
