Despite only being behind the wheel once before meeting him, I was thrown "straight into the fire" with tons of tips and pointers. By my second lesson, driving already felt natural. Carlos is a great instructor, I decided to do, I believe the 10 hour driving lesson and pace it at the weekends. Also decided to pay out for the day in the driving test. With my current workload of last month, Carlos a great instructor that he is, taught me very well in driving and the preparation for the driving test with the time and schedule given . Schedule and time Among the times that happened in those weekends, Carlos was also very flexible with time and would message me ahead of time for confirmation and make sure it was good time for driving if schedule changes happen in life, since one Saturday I had to be somewhere very important, so the rescheduling had to happen. Was happy that the schedule for driving lesson went for the next day which made it easier for me. Teaching on driving Carlos was great for each lesson and was easy to ask question to. He also simplified the how's in driving and pretty give a great explanation per driving situations. He was also very calm and patient in teaching which made driving more enjoyable and easier to learn. From, his lessons, I've learned plenty and had a good understanding of driving along with fundamental understood completely. Taking the driving test It was great to have this one, if you don't have anyone to bring you or let you borrow their car for the day of test. It was a great experience since my last lesson was driving around the driving site which for me was the Pomona driving site. So two hours in Pomona and understanding the driving atmosphere helped tremendously in passing my test. Then before the test, getting the paperwork done was fast and easy with a driving instructor since they already know how the process works and didn't have the hassle to work with any missing paperwork. Right after a few minutes before the driving test, getting last minute tips was super helpful to get it done. Overall Carlos the instructor was super helpful and awesome to get the driving test site done with no hassle and pretty a great experience. I highly recommend this, you truly won't regret it the great awesome driving test experience. For someone like me who has tried to get my driving license for a long time, I'm very thankful for Americas driving school and Carlos in making getting my license a true realization that it happen. I Highly recommend this driving school. Even though it is a bit pricey, it is worth the money. I scheduled 6 hours which is 3 days for two hours. I had Carlos as my instructor. He was super patient and nice. He made me feel relax while driving. I learned a lot from him and he gave me confidence while driving. I definitely improved each time we had a lesson! This is the best choice if you are looking for a driving school. They also provide newer honda civics with air. i was very nervous about my son going out driving for the first time but the instructor was awesome. He was very calm, patient and eased My mind. He was very prompt also. My son learned a lot of valuable driving techniques and about the laws. BUT, the nite before my sons test was scheduled this week I lost the DMV form and I texted the instructor and he was so nice and offered to come to our house early the next morning to replace it. That morning he also gave my son a few reminders to prepare for test. I do not know of ANY company that would provide that type of service. My son passed the first time. read more

I was so nervous to start driving and I didn't think I was ready but as soon as my first lesson began i started driving in the streets! Carlos made things very simple and made sure you felt safe and worked his way to the level you are. First of all, I would like to say that Carlos WAS a somewhat patient instructor on the first lesson, was nice and all. But on the second and third lesson, he was impatient and rude. Not at all like how an instructor should be patient and calm. If you asked a question such as if you could go on a four way stop because the other cars stopped, Carlos would impatiently ask, "Why do you think you can go?!" and scold you for missing or not seeing something. Maybe he isn't always like this, answering with a damn question when a simple answer would be enough, but this was my experience.I'm sure he was this way to the next student after me as well, some asian girl was still amateur her first time and he couldn't even calmly teach her how to turn. How can you learn how to drive with someone like Carlos berating you all the time? I'm sure some can, but I surely couldn't. If I had to retake another driver's course, I wouldn't learn from Carlos even for free. I would never recommend Carlos to anyone. Ever. I would give a total of zero stars, sadly it isn't possible. **Some reviews here are more than 6 months old, so to not discredit those, Carlos may have been excellent 6-12 months ago, but not 6 months later. read more

I never had any driving experience before taking lessons with Carlos, but even after my first 2 hours I have learned so much and felt so comfortable! He was such a great teacher, and I would definitely recommend this driving school to practice before taking your test. I know a lot of people who have had bad experiences with their driving instructor and hated drivers ed, but for me and many others who have had Carlos as their instructor could not relate. He was very supportive and patient, giving me the best advice and leading me to pass my test on the first try within 1 month of practice. I took 12 hours (worth it), and he also took me to take my test. That may sound like a lot but I'm not complaining! Carlos is very friendly, making each lesson enjoyable. Our youngest son lucked out with a great instructor. Carlos was very patient with him and was very flexible with our schedule. If he was booked when we wanted to schedule, he would call us if he had a cancellation or try to get us in pretty close to our request. He was very accessible to both me & my son anytime either of us called. We are excited for the upcoming driving exam and feel confident in what he has taught our son during his lessons. Carlos is an amazing driving teacher! I get really nervous and jumpy when driving with my crazy Asian dad (who seems to enjoy scaring the crap out of me with gorilla noises when I'm driving), but Carlos is really calm, patient, and totally puts me at ease. He's really friendly and easy to talk to as well and doesn't go apeshit crazy when you mess up, but calmly tells you what you did wrong and what you should have done. If you're doing a good job, he lets you know what you're doing right too! The only problem is that sometimes I get too comfortable and distracted with talking ! I am so glad I took the course instead of taking the test straight away. It really helped me to pass the test. I had driven before but stopped for about six years because I was in France. So I called Carlos and he prepared me really well to take my second driving test. On my first drive, he taught me as if I was driving for the first time. He tells you when you are doing well, which is very encouraging, and he tells you what you need to correct. If you have any questions, he will answer them really well. He is really friendly as well!
