I've been an American Turf, customer for 20-years. on November 22, 2006, they installed my Putting Green in my backyard. Today it still looks fantastic. When I met Martin, the owner my first question how long will the green last and not fade and hold up. He said we use the best Materials, we have great installers. The one thing that stood out was when he said: We have great customer service and stand by our product. the price was good and I said let's do it. Today, 2026 my Putting Green has held up well. I called the company and ask if they could come out and do a refresh. Remember it's been 20-years. Two installers showed up right on time. To my amazement when they finished it looked like they installed a new one. Wow! They also touched up my sand box, the touch up price was very affordable. Due, that I have a Putting Green, I see other companies selling the same. I stop in just to check them out. The product I see looks cheap, and salespeople really don't know the product very well... If you're looking for nice Putting Green in your home, give them a call. You will be very pleased. After, 20-years, the office still picks up the phone. I have never played golf but love the green. When friends come to my home see the Putting Green, they think I'm a pro. I just smile and my backyard looks great! After 20-yrs I give them this review: Roger read more

This company installed $10,000+ worth of turf less than 6 months ago. The owner of the company Martin Martinez was contacted because the turf does not stand up and mats down. He came to our home to see the condition of the turf and said too bad and left. Other companies have looked at the turf and said it was a cheap low grade. Martinez is the founder of this company and their products are low grade and the warranty is useless. There are plenty of other vendors who do not use cheap material and have good customer service. Martinez is a smooth talker and guarantees a good installation with a quality product. We advise you to look elsewhere for a reputable company and to avoid American Turf. read more

My husband & I are retired. After we sold our cafe of 17 years we decided to become dog sitters at our home. I saw an ad for American Turf about turf exclusively to them that has "no nylon, no nails, no lead, pet friendly, kid safe AND 15-20 degrees cooler than regular turf" so I called for a quote because during the winter our backyard looked horrible, dry yellow grass and patches of dirt that would get muddy when it rained. Martin came out and showed us the product and we went for it!! It's a huge purchase but we believe it's worth it and it will increase the value of our home. We had it installed early February this year. The guys who came to prep & install our yard were super nice & experienced for sure, very thorough! We're so excited because it's easy to clean (just rinse with water) and no more debris or mud will be tracked in our house by our fur customers! YAY!! It looks BEAUTIFUL ALL THE TIME!! No more dry yellow grass during the winter months. Great customer service by the office staff & owner too! I highly recommend anyone reading this to check to see if their City offers Water Conservation Rebates. We found out too late that the City of Phoenix does, we would've received a $2k rebate based on the size of our yard. That would have been great to get!! We are still happy we made this purchase! We feel it was a great investment & brought value to our home! It's worth every penny! I love it when it rains now! No more mud! I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone who has real grass to call American Turf to get a quote & learn more about this product! You will not be disappointed! THANK YOU MARTIN & TEAM!! read more

The turf installed by American Turf was supposed to stand up, it didn't and looked matted after only 6 months. We talked with the owner who said to put in a sidewalk he would do nothing. We had all of his turf pulled up an taken to the dump where it belonged. When it was pulled up there were sand and small rubber balls in the turf. The base was redone and we replaced his "turf" with a high-quality product. Customer service is non-existent. See the pictures attached which show the replacement work. read more

We used American turf for my mom's house last year. We couldn't have picked a better company. She watches my kids while I go to work during the week and It brings my wife and I joy when I get videos of them playing outside. Martin was honest and made the whole process easy, while still answering my questions to this day. My hope is that this helps you with your decision too. Thank you, Martin and staff! read more

Wow!! We couldn't be happier with our experience with American Turf Co. Top notch from start to finish. Kassidi was very professional and helpful with scheduling a free estimate and ultimately installation. The owner (Martin) came out to our property and educated us on the different options and pricing. Never felt pressured into making a decision at all. The crew were great to work with and they did an awesome job! You can tell they take pride in their work and finished product. Our backyard looks like a resort oasis and we are so pleased! No more watering the lawn, dogs dragging dirt into the house or mowing...and it's picture perfect every day! If you're in the market for artificial turf, we would highly recommend checking out this company!! read more

Great customer service.Excellent product. Backyard looks the best it ever looked. Installers did a great job! Thank you Martin.

Martin the owner & his crew where great to work with ! Martin & his crew spent extra time helping us design & complete our putting green (see pictures). Scheduling the job was easy & prompt. The bid was competitive with the 2 other bids we got. We are very happy with the finished product ! read more

Horrible service, very unhelpful woman on the phone, even refused to give me her name. Straight told me they were really expensive and made a big deal about "coming to you" only to find out we're outside of their area. Be careful. It's clear they're playing games. read more

Martin and his team were extremely professional! They addressed me as sir or Mr Jorgensen, which was awesome! The project time line was accurate and the putting green they installed was amazing! I'll be shaving strokes in no time! read more

American Turf - Putting green - Artificial Turf Near Me

We had American Turf come and do our yard In January and were thrilled. We left one small part undone because we were not sure our dog would use the turf. Our sales person Ryan assured us that we could get the rest of it done if we decided. My husband called and we were told that they would not come out for such a small area. So, then we asked could we buy a matching piece and my husband would try and do it. Kassidi hung up on me when I asked if I could speak to someone else. Good ratings are not always the answer, customer service is. Sally Colon read more

We would highly recommend this company if you are planning on adding artificial turf to your landscape. Our salesman Ryan was masked and educated us on all the types of turf. We were given time (no pressure) to decide and Er are so glad we did! A week before installation they came and capped off our sprinkler system and killed our grass. On instillation day a crew of 6 men headed up by Julian and Ivan had everything under control. We were given instructions on how to care for the lawn and they cleaned up better than when they arrived! We love our lawn and how our home looks with it. read more

Martin, thank you very much for making the adjustments we discussed. I am very happy with the way the putting green turned out. Your guy on the job site is fantastic, very polite, very knowledgeable very understanding of what my needs were and what I was expecting. He showed up on time every day cleaned up the job site at the end of the day. THANKS again, it was very pleasant to work with you on this project. I will be contacting you in a month or so to put some turf in the front yard. Chuck - Mesa AZ read more

We recently purchased a home after our move to Chandler, AZ. The previous owners replaced all landscaping with rock and our yard, front and rear, looked like a "moonscape". We wanted to see a green yard but took into consideration the on-going drought in the AZ and indeed the west. The answer was artificial turf. We obtained a number of estimates and decided that American Turf would meet all our needs. The decision was based on our interaction with the owner, Martin, who was very knowledgeable and rather than handing us a box with 4 or 5 different types of turf telling us to pick one (as others had done), Martin brought out samples and explained the pros and cons of each. Once we picked the one we wanted installation was scheduled and we then dealt with Donna and Kassidi in the office. Both were friendly, efficient and most helpful. Prior to installation, a crew from American Turf arrived on a Saturday to mark the area for our border--a different company pours the concrete border. That company arrived on time the results are amazing. Once the concrete "cured" the crew from American Turf arrived to work their magic and completed the installation in a day. One cannot say enough good things about the installation crew. Their level of professionalism and effort was very high. To simply say we are satisfied is an under statement..the quality of the product and the service are unmatched. Our "moonscape" now looks like an oasis and something we'll enjoy for years to come. read more

After doing some research of my own, I was referred to America Turf Co by a friend/colleague who gave high marks for their product and service. When I called and first spoke with the Martin (owner), he was hesitant to even consider the job. I had a teardrop shape patch of grass in my backyard which I no longer wanted to maintain, but given that in was only around 300sqft it fell below his minimum requirements. Once it was clear, however, that I had been referred to America Turf Co. after looking into other companies, Martin & his team came through for me and did an amazing Job! I was working from home the day of the install and so I was able watch the whole process. At first I thought the crew would just crank it out as fast as possible due to the small size, but that was not the case. They were very meticulous about it all from start to finish and my new grass looks fantastic! The best part of course, no more watering and mowing! Anyone looking to have artificial turf in their yard, I recommend American Turf Co. There are less expensive options out there, but I felt their product is worth the cost (deep infill system, no nails or staples) and they were also very courteous, attentive, and professional. read more

Our salesperson Ryan was so informative about all the kinds of turf available. It was a no pressure pitch and we were given time to make our decision. It did take about 6 weeks until our installation date, but so worth the wait. They came the week before to cap our old sprinklers and kill the grass. On installation day, there was a crew of 6 men. Julian headed up the team and explained all they would be doing. The crew head, Ivan, had everything going smoothly. Our grass looks fabulous and before leaving, we were given instructions on how to care for the lawn. Very professional company and I recommend them greatly. read more

I would not recommend doing business with American Turf Company, at least not with the folks with whom I dealt. Scheduled an appointment for an estimate via email on 10/27. The appointment was to be held on 11/22. No one arrived for my appointment and, when I called to inquire what happened and whether the person was coming, I was told that they would call the employee to see if they were headed to meet me and they would call me back in a few minutes. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I even had to call them back to determine the result and was told that they were just really booked and that they could offer another appointment several weeks down the road. It appears there was never a commitment to keep my appointment let alone provide any acceptable level of customer service. read more

American Turf company is great and the customer support is even better. after few months we started to notice a few issues with our turf. We called Martin and he believed the cause of the issues wasn't due to any product or installation issues. We agreed on a small fee for him to send his team out and fix the situation. The team did a great job and the grass is like new again. After it was fixed Martin actually called us and told us how was returning the fee we agreed to because their had been an install issue. He didn't have to do that. We never would have known read more

This is the second time we have used American Turf Co. the synthetic lawn looks like real grass and requires little maintenance. Everything from the quote to the install went smoothly without any problems. The installation was fast and I was able to arrange payment over the phone after the job was completed. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering having a synthetic lawn put in. Don't waist your time doing it yourself. read more

I would highly suggest that no one waste time with this company. I had contacted them in regards to getting pricing, explained what I wanted, and made an appointment. After changing my schedule to accommodate the time, as well as getting confirmation that they were going to be coming between a one-hour window after that window had passed and another hour. I called them to check, but they didn't know why they were late so had to call us back. Then proceeded to tell me that they wouldn't be coming out now since my job didn't meet the size requirements of over 500 square feet. (which when making the appt it was 350 square feet). They didn't ever actually ask the size and wasted my time. I suggest not wasting your time with these unprofessional individuals. PS, as a side note, this was going to be a trial of this company before using the service on over 1000 properties. read more

Special thank you to owner, Martin and son, Julian for wowing my family with our turf installation! I spoke to Martin on a couple of occasions and was always treated fairly and with respect. Today, during the installation, his son Julian addressed me as mister and was very professional and kind. The work Julian and his crew put into my yard went above and beyond. They even vacuumed some of the sand that spilled over into my brick pavers! I was reassured and delighted to learn that the team would be back to survey the turf and check the surface as an ongoing perk. read more

We call American Turf from a local ad magazine Welcome Home AZ..talked with Chris and told him we are looking to have an area between 150-200 square ft don in turf and curbing. Chris asked if tomorrow (Saturday the 4-4-2020) would work with our schedule and we said yes..Chris said good Martin will be there between 1-1:30...about 11:00 Saturday morning Martin calls and says our job doesn't qualify to the minimum requirements so he won't be coming out. We said that Chris didn't say anything about a minimum and the ad didn't either. Martin began arguing with me that the ad does say it and so on. I just said its a mute point and if we don't qualify we will find another company and Martin said fine.. We called back on Monday and Chris answered the phone and I expalined what happened and all he said was if Martin said that its ok...Chris said all I do is answer phones...and then hung up on us...We would not recommend doing any sort of business with this company regardless how long they have been in business...Next stop is Welcome Home AZ website... read more

We ended up with a putting green. However, it was nothing like we discussed and nothing like the design papers Martin wrote up. Also, the promised warranty does not exist. Buyers should expect that once you send payment, Martin will disappear. Be sure that you are happy with your product before you pay otherwise none of your concerns will be addressed. read more

I had American Turf install grass in my front yard. It is awesome and it has been years. My kids play on it, ride bikes over it, etc.. I expected it to be flat by now as it literally has been years.. It still looks great!! My neighbor down the street has synthetic grass that was done by someone else. We got it installed around the same time and the neighbors looks terrible. Mine looks great. (It makes me smile every time I drive by). That's why my wife and I just hired American Turf to do our backyard. (Thanks) read more

I called on a Thursday to get an estimate for a putting green in my back yard. I believe her name was Amanda that I spoke to. We set an appointment for the next Monday between 9 to 9:30 AM for an estimate. I explained that the area was about 300 plus square feet. I also need some concrete laid out and a small tree removed in that area and asked if they did that and if not, I could do it myself. She said that they can use sub contractors if needed and I figured I could discuss that when they come to give the estimate. So I get a call from Amanda on Monday just after 9 AM and she says that they don't do concrete or remove a tree and that they won't be coming out. I told her I still want a putting green regardless of the other work. She then tells me the job is too small. Ha! Why not tell me right away on the first call. Also, I called from their advertisement in the Saguaro Gold mailer that goes out to residential homes. Your not looking at huge putting greens in most residential back yards. What a joke and waste of time. read more

NOT impressed with this Company, one we set a appointment and 20 min. after time for the appointment the owner calls and state's he will not make it on a Friday. OK, no problem things come up, so he states Sat. 1st appoint 8-830AM and will call you. NO call, NO show for the appointment and this is the OWNER. Well we know that if the owner has poor standards and customer service, I sure the work will be as well. I see with other review this is a norm for this Company. Just sad.... read more

The installers were nice and professional. The actual synthetic grass product is horrible. After a few days the grass was matted. FYI, the warranty doesn't cover matting. There is such a high shine to the product that it is miserable to be in our backyard in the morning. One of our neighbors compared the texture to tinsel. We called Martin and he said he would send a crew next time they were in the area. Nobody came until I put another call in to the company. Martin came out and told us to move chairs on our patio to block us from walking on the turf. He also said I would call and thank him in a year because it mimics real grass. I will not be calling him because we spent $3142 to get the most inferior product I've seen. That was actually less than the original quote of $3285 because we even pulled up our old artificial turf and disposed of it ourselves. Don't be fooled by the display box of turf they show you. It is full of everything but turf. When you see the "turf" without out all of the tons of infill, you can basically see right through it. I hope this keeps someone else from making the same mistake. read more

We had a terrible experience with this company...the grass was installed May 14, 2020 and was flat from the very day of installation...Martin came out a couple weeks later to verify that the sample is the grass we ordered and said that it would PERK up if we watered it. Since monsoon season was starting, we were hoping for a few good rain storms to pack the sand and perk up the grass...never happened...we called to request that they come out to check it...no one came out until September and at that time they re-sanded, and rolled the turf, but did not improve...the crew took photos to show Martin and still no follow up until we made several phone calls to request that they come out and figure out what we needed to do next...Martin showed up finally again in November, 2020 and said the turf is supposed to go flat and there is nothing they could do about it...POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...so now we are stuck with a cheap, pathetic grade of turf when we paid over $4000 for a medium grade turf...Extremely disappointed as they did not offer to repair the bad area or offer any kind of refund, and said it would all eventually be like that...DO NOT use this company...they don't do anything to help once they take your money...There must be loads of other complaints on this company and I think they need to be held accountable for their poor product and business practices. read more

I made an appt to have someone come over to give me an estimate . We agreed on a 1pm appt time. On the day of the appt. Martin called at 11:40 am and asked if he could come over at 12 pm. I explained that my husband wasn't home but would be home at 1:00 . So he agreed to leave the appt for 1pm. Martin didn't show up But called at 1:35 to say that he was on his way and would be there in 20 minutes. At 3pm Martin called again with some story about his cell phone not working and said sorry I can't make it today after all. Since it was only3 pm I felt he should have still kept his commitment. I was annoyed and told him if you can't come today then don't come at all. His response ? Fine I won't come at all. This company has terrible customer service . They should respect the customers' time. I work nights and woke up early to be available for this company's representative. If this company treats prospective customers like this I'm sure they also treat their contracted customers poorly. read more
