Tony at NoVA Landscape Construction Is at the very top of that list. Our family spent the better part of a year working with his crew to transform our yard and pool area. At the end of that time, I can still say I'm thrilled that we went with Tony and his crew for this renovation. Not only because of the outcome of our space, but because of the communication that we received consistently through our work, and with the caliber of work I saw happen in my backyard! Tony and his crew transformed our back yard pool area into a retreat. Our pool is about 40 years old. I don't believe it had ever been resurfaced. We started there with Tony and his crew and as we talked about our vision for up there our design options grew. We opted to reconfigure the entire space around the pool, and Tony Was able to take our vision and make it happen! He was receptive to all of our requests, even the ones that were a little more difficult for him to fulfill like a very specific color of a crêpe myrtle tree for the landscaping, with a can-do attitude! We now have a wood-burning fireplace, we ran a gas line to heat the pool and put in gas heaters for the pavilion area, added a fridge a grill, garbage and recycle bins , and a cooler box to easily access drinks. The space is truly an oasis for our family now. We do a lot of entertaining and everyone who has stopped by has been so impressed with the space. We are beyond thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Tony and his team for any home improvement project you are considering!

When I asked about this the owner explained a recent tragedy befell him. So I, being the big hearted person I am, forgave this. Then I asked for an estimate on trimming some bushes. I got it, agreed, and never got the work done. This was around the time of the last mowing for 2017. So I paid for the mowing and asked about the bushes. No response. I said Eff it I'll find someone else to do it for a lot more affordable of a price. I don't hold grudges so I wanted them to mow my lawn this year. That's eat. I recall last year him saying there is no break in service unless the customer asks, but after a couple weeks I began to wonder. So I sent a very nice email asking if they were in fact doing my house again this year. No response. I emailed again the following week. Nothing. The week after I texted and called. Nada. I've been ghosted before but never by a business! Completely uncalled for! I would have been ok if they reached out to me and said they can no longer service my area/house. Fine. But just to give me nothing and to not reply. Very unprofessional. So I guess if they don't decide to break up with you, you are solid. If they do though, don't be expecting a notification.

We then patiently waited from mid-October2024 to mid-March 2025 without any work being done. Mid-March we received multiple notices that our Pruning had been scheduled only to be canceled the day the work was to be performed. A series of unsuccessful phone calls and emails ensued trying to get the Pruning as defined in the contract done. Finally Blue Ridge emailed us that they were unwilling to meet the terms of their proposal / contract. This whole situation has been very frustrating as Spring blossoms have appeared and the five-month window for Winter Pruning has come and gone. We don't know if Blue Ridge didn't honor their contract because we are only a small residential job, they were over committed with bigger jobs or because we are elderly and they thought we could be taken advantage of. Eitherway, we found Blue Ridge to be unreliable and their president's signature on the proposal is totally worthless

The work is excellent, and the design ideas are consistent with the area and wildlife. Some folks want pretty ornate stuff that simply doesn't work in NOVA unless they are willing to nurture it.
