Jiffy Lube

Jiffy Lube

Driving from San Francisco to Florida our maintenance light turned on. We usually go to Jiffy Lube…read morefor oil changes so when we passed by the one in Roswell we turned around and pulled in. We have had many Jiffy Lube experiences but this is by far the best shop we have ever gone to. They had a ton of technicians and rather than most of them standing around and doing nothing as you would expect, every single person there got involved in working on our car. Actually there was a guy sweeping the garage too but that is fine--as the whole shop and waiting room were very neat and clean. The service we received from the manager and technicians was excellent. They did all of the usual Jiffy Lube stuff of topping off all the fluids and whatnot, but watching them cleaning the windows and vacuuming you could tell that they were really treating our car like it was their own rather than just running down items on a checklist. Humberto provided excellent service while we were in the waiting room, and he thoroughly explained all the work being done. He gave us the prices of everything and told us about the 15% AAA discount, which we took advantage of. Beyond this, they offer you free beverages--they even have a coke fountain in addition to coffee. Our battery needed to be replaced, and they did that in a matter of minutes. The whole thing took about half an hour. While they were doing the battery one of the technicians noticed some oil spots and on investigation found out that the guy who filled our oil had spilled some in the motor. They pulled our car back around and all 6 guys there got into the engine and were cleaning it with degreaser and making it look better than before. They gave us a thorough explanation of what they were doing and why at every step of the process. Overall we were very pleased with this World Class service and as always with the reasonable price and confidence we have in using Jiffy Lube. We are sad that we don't live near Roswell and so we cannot go here regularly; the whole experience was amazing and we drove away feeling really good. Highly Recommended. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Update from previous review. Due to not knowing there was a cable broke to the battery that Jiffy…read moreLube techs broke, it caused a power surge through the system and blew out some fuses, relays and ignition switch. Not counting the battery, the carelessness of the Jiffy Lube Tech has now cost me approximately 275-300.00. We possibly could have avoided the power surge issues had we known at the time of their oil service but they chose dishonesty. It's unfortunate.

Lykins Tire & Auto Service - Two of two cracked rims.

Lykins Tire & Auto Service

I cannot thank the team here enough for their assistance. I'm on a very long road trip, solo with…read moremy dog. My check tire light came on en route to Roswell. Every time this happens it's been a nail or gash in my tire. Needless to say, I didn't want to continue driving hundreds of miles so I went to Lykins first thing in the morning. Folks, the positive reviews are legit. They looked at my car right away and I was out of there Jess than an hour later. Turns out it was just a tire pressure issue, which they resolved for me. And guess what? No charge. Everyone was so kind and friendly and even gave me a tip on where to walk my dog while we waited. Thank you so much Alexis & Skye

I visited Lykins Tire to purchase a new set of tires for my truck, and from start to finish the…read moreexperience was nothing short of frustrating and costly. First Visit - Damaged Rim: * The initial set of tires ordered would not mount on my existing rims, despite being the same exact size/brand as the ones before. They suggested I leave my truck overnight for them to sort it out, mentioned the cold from the snow that day could be affecting the elasticity of the rubber. Only to discover the next day that they'd attempted to force the tires on with a hammer-leaving a deep dent around the bead seating area. * The manager acknowledged the damage and offered either a full repair or a discount. Feeling stranded without my truck for a week for repairs, I reluctantly accepted a discount rather than leave it parked. Second Visit - Even Worse Damage: * Two weeks later, I returned to swap out the tires for a different brand recommended by the manager. When I picked up my truck, two rims were cracked. * Instead of taking responsibility, the manager flatly accused me of causing the damage myself. I repeatedly explained the rims had been intact when I dropped the truck off, but was dismissed until a friend intervened-and only then did the manager grudgingly admit his team was at fault. Bottom Line: I paid for professional service and ended up with three ruined rims. Between the botched tire installs, the hammer damage, and the outright denial of responsibility, I felt completely disrespected as a customer. I cannot recommend Lykins Tire to anyone looking for reliable, honest work-save yourself the hassle (and the repair bill) and go elsewhere.
