Horrible experience. I hired them to remove 4 walls during an entire renovation of my house over 2…read moreyears. My general contractor does it all, but removing load bearing walls so I hired Forsyth Remodeling to just remove the walls. They were more than other contractors but I wanted to make sure it was done properly as this was the ground floor in a 2+ story home. Work began and quickly went downhill. Some walls were not load bearing and Jay told me there was no way to return the $1.3k in wood materials no longer needed and I was stuck with the extra wood!!! Electric lines were cut from outlets and they refused to re connect them without me paying additional. Same thing for the lights. So now there is NO power to the kitchen, entryway, and living room. I had wires hanging from the ceiling, walls and floors uncapped. I texted Jay multiple times halfway through the week, he just kept saying if you want us to do anything with the power you have to pay more. So they have no problem cutting the lines. They just refuse to Reconnect them The contract stated that drywall was to be put up at the end and I kept questioning him how they could put drywall up with unattached wires going everywhere. He just kept telling me I have to pay for an electrician. By Friday the workers were using cell phone lights to work by. Nobody stopped by to check on the workers work or the progress. Nobody talked to me, even though I was raising serious issues in the middle of the week. By Friday I was living in a completely dark house with lights, not switched up. Drywall hanging and damaged from them taking down the walls and still no explanation or timeline on when drywall would go up or how in the world could they drywall around opened unconnected wires. I told Jay that the pictures and story would not look good on a review and he said that he did not care and to go right ahead. Eventually, I talk to the owner of the company. He explained that drywall should never have been included as you cannot drywall around unconnected wires. He also agreed that yes walls should have been checked before buying product. That is non-returnable and did refund me the unused wood, and they took it back, I guess for another project. He also finally on Friday sent the electrician to spend an hour or two tentatively reconnecting wires to be able to have power and lights for the weekend. He also agreed that my Contractor should have been coming in during the week to do the wiring so they could have done the drywall, however, Jay explicitly told me that under no circumstances could I have other vendors like my Contractor here working while they were here which I abide by. This *Now leaves us multiple days behind schedule and trying to juggle other vendors. It's really hard to describe the amount of stress and dysfunction going on in an already chaotic stressful situation. I was refunded for work not done and the materials not used. I was not given a discount for the incredible cluster fluff that this turned into. The lack of communication and refusal to even come out to see what the issues were created an absolute worst case scenario. The workers did a decent job on the work that they did however such a lack of common sense when writing a quote, and severe lack of management and common sense of seeing the issues that were happening and refusing to listen to me or come out and address the issues left this a nightmare. I have spiderwebs of wires everywhere and struggling on a Friday afternoon to try and reset and find drywaller's for next week before the painters are supposed to come. they to charge me to hook up a wire, but didn't offer a refund for the damage that they caused to other drywall areas. Better customer service would have been to do what they did and the small amount that was still owed written off for a decent customer service, the sleepless nights, the thermostat not working, the power not working, having to eat out because there's no way to cook food, no lights in the house at night, ect.

Alexander Floors had the best price, and unlike the snake oil salesman that most other flooring companies will send for an estimate, he was very honest and up front about everything we needed to know and anticipate, he estimated the job would take about 2-3 days. 4 days later they received the wood that we ordered, they called us to setup a delivery time, and the next day they began working, And as promised, the job was completed in exactly 2 days time. They did a beautiful job, the guys they had working on this were very courteous and professional, and were very meticulous with their work. They moved the furniture as needed, and when the job was done, they vacuumed and washed the floor and put all the furniture back in place. I could hardly imagine a better experience than this. We just want everyone to know what a great job they did and how impressed we are with how earnest and hard-working everyone on their team is. Special kudos to Jose and Martin, the team leaders. Their pricing is competitive. The floorers and painters worked harder than we have seen in many, many years to make sure the project finished on schedule. And their attention to detail (picking up on a lot of things we hadn't even noticed) can't be beat. They made suggestions for improvements, which made the result so much more impressive than if they had only done what we originally asked. They also suggested things that could be done differently to save us money. They did most of the heavy-lifting since we are seniors. Special thanks to Ivan, the project manager. He took what could have been a laborious project for us and made it manageable. 5 out of 5 stars!

We got several quotes, and this quote was very fair. Our stoop had decorating mortar. They cut all of the old mortar out and replaced it with mortar that matched the rest of our brick. They replaced a few crumbling/broken bricks. They then extended two narrow stairs to make them the width of the stoop with additional bricks. This involved digging out dirt and pouring a concrete foundation before extending the steps. You can't tell the difference between where the old steps ended and where the add on started. They were kind, friendly, and conscientious. They said it the job would take 4 days. Four days later it was done. I have had so many bad experiences with home repair. This was not one of them. Kevin offered a…read morefull warranty, laid crushed rock before pouring the concrete, and planned on two days to complete the job not one. Others offered a warranty if the crack was over 3/8 inch. My driveway already had cracks of less than 3/8 inch and I needed a new one. That was a horrible warranty. Also, other companies were only going to pour crushed rock over parts under the driveway. My son is an engineer, specializing in storm water design systems. I asked him about that and he said I definitely need crushed rock throughout. Finally, I thought one day would be rushed and I didn't want that. Kevin took two days and still had to return for clean up etc. Consequently, I chose Kevin. The work was done perfectly. The crew was was experienced and did the job just as planned. It looks great. Very pleased. They cleaned up and even put more dirt around the edges of the concrete. I highly recommend Kevin Murphy Concrete Driveways.

I can not recommend to use Kevin Murphy Concrete Driveways. While Kevin was extremely pleasant, and…read moreassured his warranty, he never attempted to address any of the issues with our driveway, and I attempted many times to get him to come out. The driveway was poured in wet weather and the mix of concrete was not great, because it looks like a splotchy, diseased driveway. He assured us this would fade in time (more than a few months), which is not true, as it has been 2 years. This must be his technique to get the customer to forget about the issue until you don't care anymore. There is also a corner of the driveway that has a significant jagged, surface crack - not a crack from a control joint... He never attempted to fix this either - so his warranty is worth absolutely nothing. The absolute worst, though, was the patio he poured below our deck, in which he poured concrete around our existing deck support beams, which ended up causing them to rot. At the time, I did not know this was an issue, but in researching, this should NEVER be done. Now I have to figure out how to replace the wood and cut out some of the existing patio because of a shortcut his company took to do something the absolute wrong way.
