I reached out to a few painting companies on Yelp and Sun Home Remodeling was easily the most affordable, and very responsive. The owner Romer asked for pictures of the area and gave me an estimate based on my measurements of the room. Other companies quoted 3-4x the price, with a 1-2 week lead time. Romer came out the same day! He was professional and polite, he wore shoe covers inside our home which I appreciated. Romer explained what he was doing and why, and even went to buy paint to match (with a discount because he was a business owner). I appreciate that he passes the savings on to the customer. He was very thorough when prepping the room, and laid tarps down, used professional equipment, and was done in a matter of hours. The ceiling is seamless, I couldn't be happier! If you're looking to support a small business owned by a professional who is hardworking and dedicated, this is the business to support. They come by to give you a color consultation based on your furniture, trends, and floors. The crew (it was the same crew as 14 years ago) arrived and were completely professional from start to finish. And then the day before the appointment, they asked me if we could reschedule for another day. That was actually fine because the new date worked better for me anyway, but it should have been another sign they may not have it all together. I will say they were accommodating in arriving a bit earlier that day at my request, and they were professional and friendly. I was told I should get an estimate by the end of the week. I did not even get a follow up. So I sent a message to ask when I could expect the quote and was told they wouldn't be able to get it to me by the end of the month as promised and since the person who does quotes was out for the week, he couldn't give me a date. It was around the holidays, so I understood and decided to be patient (although every other company who came by during the same time frame managed to get me estimates within a few days at most). Two weeks later still no estimate and still no follow up (three weeks since they came to my house). If they didn't have the capacity or desire to take on my project at this time, I would have appreciated being told that so I didn't waste my time waiting and not moving forward. (Well I did last week with drywall repair and painting at least, with a company that gave me an estimate the same day and got me on their schedule soon after I made the decision). I called the company once more just to make sure I didn't overlook anything, but they seemed to not really know what was going on with the estimate either .. Within about an hour of my long overdue and initial review, I was on the calendar for next day pressure washing! When I say A-MA-ZING, I really mean it! I've attached photos so that you can be the judge. Perry knows his craft. There's been a rust stain that we've been trying to have removed for YEARS! Previous contractors tried but were unable.
