I dip you dip we dip. Sorry ... Couldn't resist a little homage to the Freak Nasty classic, as it always plays in my head whenever I have dip, which is all the freaking time because I'm a sauce-aholic. If you like jams and preserves, salsas and barbecue sauces, and caramel and chocolate toppings, this place will be heaven to you. I adore that you can sample everything, and they even occasionally have prepared dishes available to sample featuring some of their great ingredients. They had a pretzel and raspberry pudding out to try on my recent visit and it was amazeballs. They've also recently added a chilled white fish dip to their available offerings. A local who was picking some up at the store last time I was in said she swears by it. It is a really nice touch that they will provide you with a bag of ice cubes to keep it chilled for your trip home.

Seriously, I'm like Joey in that episode of Friends when Monica starts making jam, eating it nonstop.

He will let u try samples but has his finger in the cup before filling it which sort of grosses me out. I shall try and order online next time. The quality of the products is what makes me revisit every time I am in the area.

But, the awesome thing about this small store is that you can taste anything you want before you buy it. So you know you're getting something you are totally crazy about and there's no risk of ending up with oil that's too heavy or too garlicky or whatever. They also have a huge selection of balsamic vinegars which you can taste as well. I recommend starting with the oil and then working your way to the other side of the store since the basalmics can be a tad overwhelming. (I had to ask the lady that works there for a glass of water because after a few tastes I couldn't distinguish one from other). I ended up buying the Tuscan herb olive oil (a fabulous mix of oregano, garlic and basil) as well as the walnut oil which I think will go great with any of the fruitier flavored vinegars for a salad dressing. Other winners were the Porcini Extra Virgin (the salesperson says it is made in Italy by a family that has some secret way of steeping porcini mushrooms in EVOO so no extracts are used) and the Blood Orange EVOO which I imagine would be great on fish or in a salad dressing.
