We were greeted as we came in and they let us know about their Easter egg specials for discounts on their products. Just like a wine tasting at a winery, one can sample the olive oil and vinaigrette variety here. They have small sample cups available for each variety. I love me some good olive oil to dip in some good bread and Parmesan cheese. I came across their slow roasted garlic olive oil and had to buy it. Love that garlic smell. It was originally $30 for 500 ml but with discount came out to $25. Overall, service was great, I felt welcomed and product was top notch. Would come back again!

Meijer OREO Persian: For a grocery store bakery, I've been pretty impressed with the doughnuts at…read moremy local Meijer (although the selection is sadly wildly inconsistent). A Pershing/Persian is a doughnut that is similar to a cinnamon roll but is made with doughnut batter. Meijer has had a plethora of Persian varieties lately, with one of them going for a cookies and cream vibe. The surface of this pastry contains a whipped cream-like frosting with miniscule chocolate cookie pieces. Due to their small size, the crumbles don't add any texture but do add a faint chocolate flavor to the creamy topping. One mini-OREO cookie can be found within the topping as the finishing touch. The cinnamon flavor of the pastry's body is sweet and relatively subtle with no uncomfortable burning/heat to it. Cinnamon granules can be seen in the dough after taking a few bites if you look closely enough. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. Initially I had some trepidation as the topping did not appear very thick, which concerned me because the topping to pastry ratio would be way off. Although I still think it could have been a little thicker, the ratio was sufficient for the most part. Stay away from the double baked potato - it came highly recommended by the server. Go to the baked potato where you decide the taste. Coming from a Chicagoland dinning experience , I thought the ambiance was steakhouse appropriate . Not your Southwest dinner experience - very upscale . Our server was excellent - she did an excellent job describing the various cuts of meat and various preparations. She was always available when we needed attention . The waitress acted put out to even wait on us. The hostess had a long face too. When we left she said have a good evening! When we ordered our order we asked for salads. She asked do you want them to come out before the dinner. We replied yes, they came out when our dinner came to the table. The croutons were soggy, salad and just okay. We told her we would want a glass of wine with our dinner too, she forgot that too and didn't even mention it at all. We didn't have a chance to order one, because she never came back to check on us. We asked for a non-toasted bun for my eight year-old's burger.That came out well toasted! When we asked for a different bun, she( the waitress ) actually rolled her eyes, my mom whom very rarely comments, said that was completely unacceptable . The waitress name was Density, I believe because we heard the fun crowd behind us on a high table.They were laughing too, because they got up to get their bread. When the waitress came over to get some to go boxes. I asked her if bread was part of the meal. She said yes, would you like some. We were already finished with our meal and paying for our dinner. The waitress let us know that the cold chocolate cake was on the house, to funny! The entire experience was a trip!!! We ordered our drinks when we sat down. They took over 15 minutes., I wasn't timing the drink time, however I ended up inquiring about our drinks with the bartender. He was the manager too. I I motion for the manager/bar tender over to our table. I just said wanted to let him know about our experience. That the drinks were never even put into the system and he had no idea. He was WAY too busy chatting it up with a few locals at the bar to even care about his customers. Plus it was hard to not see how completely trashed the bar looked. The bartender/manager name is Jeremy. He was a trip in so many ways! He seemed all jacked up on something or maybe just has really bad ADHD. I get it, ADHD isn't easy to deal with at all. Either way, his lack professionalism and non-awareness was going on around him and others dining was completely unacceptable. If I was the owner, I'd be really upset. The lighting in the place was beautiful! I work in the service industry, so I know how some days can be off. I do hair and my moto is, if you can't make it then you fake it! I just can't believe the service as a high end restaurant as they describe via online as a high-end-steak place. I read the last few reviews, I don't read reviews because we all have our own experiences. Believe me when I say this about the place and so do the last several guests. The steak was good, we had the filet. The baked potato was dry and under cooked, horrible! My daughter's burger was just okay, it was over cooked too, but we didn't complain at all about the food. My mom and I both smiled when she asked about 20 minutes after getting our food, how does it taste. She forgot about my mom ordering some onion and she forgot about the salt and pepper. Well to close it out, we are BIG tippers and we didn't leave her much at all, but it was in cash. Our tips are normally 25-20:/: cash tip always, but not tonight. Sorry.:/ This place needs some serious help, whom ever owns this place needs to have a lot more awareness. Ps the bathroom had over flowing trash too. Just visiting on a mother, daughter and granddaughter vacation. We love South Haven! I would suggest Clementine's for food, fun and amazing service! There was musical entertainment. The market is located in the center of the downtown under a covered pavilion. If in the area, definately stop by to purchase some local goods.
