Everything about this spot is lovely except for the wait times. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the baked goods is high. Unfortunately, I waited almost 15 minutes for an iced coffee. The tall gentlemen in the food area stands around just staring at a screen while one (1) teenager manages the cashier and one (1) teenager manages the drinks and desserts. It's wild, makes me want to get behind the counter and help them out. Come on, why are you so lazy tall man! There was a line about 30 deep in both the pastry line and the cafe. It's bonkers that there are multiple adult employees unable or unwilling to multitask. My suggestion would be for the staff to chip in or hire additional staff to move things along. read more

The place was off the hook busy. We tried a blueberry chicken sandwich, cheese cake and scone. The cheesecake was insane. The flavor profile was not too sweet, so creamy, light and airy yet decadent. The perfect blueberry flavor. The sandwich was also very good. The scone could have been skipped. It was probably one of the worst scones we've ever had. I wish we had more cheesecake :) Overall, so worth the trip!! read more

Didn't really know what to expect as we drove through their personal driveway amidst a road closure. But our visit to Bowerman's became one of the highlights of our trip to Michigan. The store has a ton of cute and delicious gifts, foods, etc. The kitchen has a couple pizzas and sandwiches. On the one hand surprised there's only two pizzas highlighting the blueberry. On the other hand, we had the blueberry pesto pizza which was fantastic. Really unique flavor, not overpoweringly blueberry. Definitely admitting I was surprised at how much I liked the pizza. I think Bowerman's is now going to be a regular addition to our Michigan trips! read more

Bowerman's is awesome! We went here to pick blueberries and they were delicious. The price is great for the amount that you pick too. It's a fun activity for friends and family to do! After picking blueberries, we got blueberry custard at their farm café. It was incredible!! Bowerman's also offers a ton of products within their market/café. You can browse while you wait on your food. I got a blueberry and lemon blueberry donut from the bakery and they were both great! My family also got a blueberry pie to take home, which got lots of compliments when we had it that night. I wish I got more take home products from the market! Bowerman's seems like a great spot with a lot of fresh products. Their market is very cute inside. The landscape with all the blueberry bushes is beautiful. I hope to return some day! read more

Cute stop if you are in the area. Lots of local stuff. We got snacks and some souvenirs. The mustard and preserves are very good with few ingredients. I was disappointed that jt was the end of the day and their coffee was cold, but they offered to heat it for me. The bakeshop stuff looked really good but it was too much for the distance we have to travel, but someone fry the blueberry cinnamon rolls or bread and let me know how it is!! Visiting Holland from out of town and headed to pick some blueberries due to a recommendation from a friend. We've never picked blueberries before, and the experience was easy and quick. I was on a bus tour of Tulip Time with my wife and the stop for lunch brought us to Bowerman Blueberries - so glad we stopped! They setup a tent for lunch with a choice of an Italian sub or a chicken salad sandwich. I had the sub and it was delicious - my wife went with the chicken salad and it was to die for. Both sandwiches used their fresh blueberries which was awesome. They had a nice shop setup with blueberry sweet treats, coffees and other souvenirs. We were given a history of the farm and instructions on U picks for summer (a little early when we visited). Everyone who worked there was beyond friendly and accommodating. We will definitely venture back when in town! read more

What a fun new addition to our Saugatuck/Douglas/Fennville rotation We've never timed our visit iut fit blueberry season so I was excited to see the stars were aligning this time. Our visit included very affordable upick blueberries, tasting our way through the samples in the store and purchasing a crazy-delicious blueberry smoothie, blueberry cake donuts, and Key lime pie. I know, the key lime pie sounds like a wild card but I tried the sample and didn't care that I was so far from Florida...it's amazing. Trust me. The store had everything blueberry that your heart could desire- from earrings and tea towels to jams and pies. It's also super kid friendly with a playscape in the front of the property. While visiting a friend in grand Haven, one of the ladies in our party, wanted to take home a frozen blueberry pie. And in our search we came across Bowermans blueberry farm.. From the outside the building is very welcoming, appearing clean and bright in the sunshine with its blue and white colors, what adventures and seats along what would be a front porch for sitting plus picnic tables with umbrellas on a cemented patio, which is also accessible to the play area for kids With mulch on the ground and wooden play structures to sit and climb upon. When you walk in there is a very nice gift area immediately in front of you into the left, offering, homemade baked goods, bagged coffee, mugs, T-shirts, and sweatshirts, items for the kitchen And home. There are coolers with boxes of refrigerated blueberries, already picked for you, frozen, blueberries, and other baked treats. They have blueberry frozen custard, which was absolutely phenomenal! The taste was the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, and I had a parfait which included granola And fresh blueberries in it. My taste buds were going crazy because they were so happy. There's also an area for buying snacks if you were hungry after picking your own blueberries. I saw people with small pizzas, but I honestly didn't look at the menu because this was to the right of the gift Shop area, so I was highly distracted. Lol I highly highly recommend you come and try this frozen custard because you will not be disappointed. The staff were equally amazing as they were pleasant and welcoming, making you feel at home. My friends and I recently came here for a blueberry farm tour (~60 minute hay ride, small walk and free blueberry donut) and it was really cool to see! We went on a beautiful fall day and was told so much about the history of the tour. The market inside was quaint and had some festival and activities outside for the kids. Being that we were later in the season, we even got some discounted pumpkins! This location is just a little far for me to travel to regularly (being based in GR) but I'm glad there is a locally owned blueberry farm that you can do your own picking! read more

This place is amazing!!! Watch their store hours and get there before they close on Saturday. They are not open on Sunday but they do have a location downtown. Huge store with blueberry themed everything. They of course have a lot of treats: Frozen pies, desserts, frozen blueberries to take home, Baked goods, candles and gifts. Don't pass up on the freshly made items from the counter. It's hard to choose so bring a friend, pick two and share. We took a frozen crisp, donuts and 10lb bag of blueberries back to our campsite. Oh what a treat! It's a good bike ride from the beach campground and surely easy to find by car. Their prices are very reasonable. Staff was closing up but happy to help us. We had heard that the Bowerman's Farm Market had started selling pizzas and so we thought we would try them, the pizza is good, the crust is tender and chewy, the blueberry barbecue pizza is delicious! I think they did not anticipate the turn out from the community and so the service is a little slow, but the staff are helpful, they just seem a little overwhelmed. There is a nice playground in front of the store to sit and wait for your food to be prepared and let the kids play, and outdoor seating at picnic tables. The little store is cute. They have several jams and sauces, etc. with the blueberry, summer fruit theme, the Lighthouse Jam is delicious. There is also blueberry donuts, muffins, pies, and crisps for sale... and also fresh blueberries! It is a nice store. They also have occasional events on weekends and blueberry picking in season! read more

We are BIG fans of Bowerman Blueberry donuts and love their cafe downtown Holland. Unfortunately when we stopped to grab some subs at their farm location, it took 45 minutes. We're not sure if they forgot our order and were understaffed but we wish they would have notified us on the wait time prior to ordering. The subs were also just okay in flavor and could have used more meat. I'd recommend calling your order in ahead of time so you don't miss out on some good beach time. read more

Two days in a row we stopped in for freshly baked blueberry donuts. You can smell them as soon as you open the door. Bonus - there are always 2 or 3 blueberry treats to sample (like blueberry pie!). The donuts are delish and there are lots of blueberry and Michigan gifts you can pick up as hostess gifts, etc. Today we even had blueberry waffle coffee and it was surprisingly good. Try some! We have also taken home frozen blueberries from here when we headed straight home to Ohio. We enjoyed these huge blueberries all winter. Holy blueberry, Batman! Just happened to roll by this establishment on the way to Holland State Park and Ottawa Beach when we saw the sign and the makings of a drive thru? Yep it had a drive-thru to sling their many blueberry-centric baked goods and frozen treats! Beyond excited to roll through after the beach, and man it didn't disappoint. The most tasty blueberry donuts were the perfect compliment to the tart and sweet combo of their blueberry soft-serve! We smashed the three donuts we bought and turned right back into their drive thru to cop more donuts to share lol. We bought a half-dozen more donuts, another parfait and soft serve, a basket of fresh strawberries, and a frozen bag of their blueberries. This is one of the absolute must stops near Holland. you can make it a quick stop and grab some fresh blueberries and homemade pies or make it a longer trip and do some handpicking. Pints sell for $3.50 but they go all the way up to 10 lbs (worth it!) Some of the non-food items inside are slightly overpriced but the main reason to be there is blueberries which are sold a such a great price! They also offer things like blueberry salsa, local canned alcohol, ice cream, and plenty activities for kids. Always will reccomend and stop by at Bowerman's. read more

It really is a very special place to shop or just to have a blueberry donut. It is a family friendly place where children can play outside while their parents sit and eat ice-cream. If you have a blueberry lover in your crew, you have to stop here while in Holland! This place has it all: blueberry jam, preserves, salsa, BBQ sauce, sausage, honey, mustard, baked goods, and so much more. You can get pies already baked or frozen to bring home. If you're interested in getting freshly picked blueberries or strawberries in bulk and don't want to pick them yourself, I recommend buying them in advance. Because the harvest time varies based on the weather, they'll call you when they pick the berries and you'll be all set - better than stopping in every day to see if they have any because they go SUPER fast! The blueberry donuts deserve a paragraph all to themselves. Absolutely delicious. They've become some what of a local legend in the last couple of years. You can also find them at the farmer's market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Also important to note is the dessert selection. They offer the rare, Disney classic pineapple Dole whip which is delicious and vegan. There's a yummy blueberry custard too or you can get a swirl of both. The smoothies are amazing -- and I worked at popular local ice cream shop for five summers so that's saying something! You can even get a sundae made atop one of the coveted warm blueberry donuts. It's a great place to stop after the beach, way less crowded than other joints but just as good (if not better) tasting. Bowerman's usually does a few public pancake breakfasts during the summer, each one benefitting a different local charity/organization. Look out for these as it's a great way to experience the area, especially if you have time to pick some berries afterwards. read more

It is my pleasure to go to local businesses and be ridiculously kind and pleasant during challenging times in the world. Today we went to Bowermans on 8th for the soft opening. That Yelp page isn't up yet so this is also their store and so here's the review. I'll update accordingly. The selection was fantastic. The store front is adorable and clean. Most of the staff was smiling and it was super busy. I love that for them because opening a new business is always chaotic and seeing local places thrive is awesome! I'll get this over with. The food was DELICIOUS. I had a mini blueberry dream pie, it was kind of like a custardy frozen pie thicker than cheesecake consistency. The crust was insanely good. Better than any graham cracker or almond crust I've ever had but I have no idea what it was. I had a lemon blueberry cookie. Also amazing. Kind of hard. I also bought a French toast bake to go to make for my family this weekend. It looks great! The service. As a courtesy when I'm out and about I wear my mask because I work with Covid patients daily and it just sits right with my soul. It's not hurting anyone for me to do so. I'm hoping that's not why the worker that served me was so nasty rude to me but I have no idea why? She just had a snippy attitude from start to finish and I still tipped her 15%. At the end I told her to have a great day and she didn't even say anything. She just kind of looked at me like "and"? I'm bothered enough to not want to return tbh and I'm a coffee and donuts fanatic. First and last time here I guess. read more

They have vegan vanilla soft serve that is coconut based! It's so good too. They can do flurries with Oreos and vegan vanilla so I'm going to try that next time. I had the plain vanilla and my daughter had the vegan vanilla swirled with pomegranate dole whip. Sooooooo good. They also carry Kind Crumb donuts which are dairy free and gluten free (fresh and lots of frozen to take home). I'm so excited my kids and I have a place in holland with a non-fruit soft serve!!! Normally, I love Bowerman blueberries, and would highly recommend it to anyone I encounter, except today I had an absolutely absurd experience. First, I picked out some items from the store, then went to check out and purchase some ice cream at the ice cream counter but the person who was working there said "we are too busy right now you need to check out somewhere else" although it was phrased in a bit of a rude manner this would have been fine, however, while checking out at the other counter I watched another woman go up and check out with her extra items and purchase ice cream there. So were they really too busy or is their staff just poorly trained on time management and customer service? This would've just been inconvenient and I would be like OK people make mistakes it's whatever except a couple minutes after I had checked out and purchased my ice cream one of the employees came up to me and said that they were out of their blueberry ice cream because they were cleaning the machine. This was absolutely absurd to me for a couple reasons. first it was 3 PM why would they be cleaning the machine of their main product in the middle of the afternoon especially when they had customers waiting in the store second why would they have sold me that to begin with if their machine was being cleaned? I got a refund but it was just a terribly frustrating experience and it will be a long time before I go back, if ever. For more reliable service I'd recommend Kamphuis blueberries nearby they have great blueberry ice cream with fresh waffle cones and polite workers. read more

This place is a hidden gem!! It's worth the trek here to try their AMAZING blueberry donuts and hand pies. Wow, wow, wow. The donuts melt in your mouth with real blueberries and their hand pies are to die for! We got the last two and we gobbled it up on our drive back to Chicago. You can buy their freshly made blueberry crumbled pies and you can tell they just made it because it's still warm! Their handpicked blueberries are worth buying if you missed the u-pick season. Their 2 pounds of blueberries are worth $7. You can get 5 pounds of blueberries for $12. It's worth buying more because you can freeze them and it tastes good eating them frozen! I got their blueberry butter jam which is homemade which goes perfectly on your toast in the morning. The only thing I didn't get that I didn't have the room for was their blueberry custard ice cream or their blueberry twisted soft served ice cream on a cone. It looked so good especially on a hot summer day, but I could not eat anymore since I had a huge meal beforehand. Lesigh. This means I have to come back here next summer and get that ice cream! read more
