I finally got the money shot! Thanks Mickey!
Kristin J.

I came in today around 1:30 to donate whole blood and my iron was high enough! Finally! I came two weekends ago and wasn't able to donate because my iron was too low. Always bums me out when my iron is too low. Anyways, I didn't make an appointment and just walked in. The young woman working the counter was friendly and had me sign in as well as check-in on the computer. I flipped through the reading material and was about to pick up a magazine when my name was called. I seriously was only waiting for about 5 minutes. The woman who took me through the prick finger, check temperature and blood pressure, questions on the computer routine was great. When she pricked my finger it seriously did not hurt at all! I am pressing on it right now and it is not sore what-so-ever! Best finger pricker ever! I wish I had looked at her name tag or asked her for her name so I could give her a shout out. A different phlebotomist named Chris was the one who actually drew my blood. Chris was divine. He was great with the small talk and it was such a small pinch when he put the needle in my arm, that the pain was basically non-existent. He was totally cool with lifting the cotton off of my arm so I could get a gruesome picture of the needle in my arm. I really liked that he made a point of telling me exactly what he was going to do before he did it. I am hoping to have him as my phlebotomist for future visits. As always, the after donation refreshments and snacks are delicious.Today was easily my best experience at this location so far. See you guys in 56 days!

Donating blood here is simple and the staff is amazing. I have used this location twice and both times I was in and out without a problem. I wish I knew the name of the lady that took my blood today because she was very sweet, gentle, and had a wonderful smile the entire time. I'll be back in a few months

Passionfruit juice and a Keebler mint fudge stick... 2 of the main reasons I come in to donate blood!

Always running late 45-60 minutes wait. The whole process is highly repetitive and inefficient.

Don't give them your phone number. You'll just have one more company harassing you by phone.

I've given blood over 120 times. Never a problem. Highly encourage others to give it a try as well.

Italian lady) was absolutely a charming delight. She drew blood painlessly and quickly, and she was engaging and so sweet. I did have an appointment, and they honored me before those that were there before me. I appreciate that since I did make the appointment and have to return to work. I gave her my new and current insurance card. They pulled up my old health insurance plan in their computer which was gone for two months. I told them to process the claim under the new insurance plan because that one was the one that was the most current. The technician draws blood and there was a large hematoma at the injection site for several days afterwards. The size was over 3 inches. Then I get the results from the two lab orders. One was never performed because they dropped the vial of blood and it broke on the floor. The insurance company sent me an explanation of benefits for the claim submitted to them for my service here from 3/25/26. The claim was processed by this office using my old insurance which i clearly told them was no longer being used or paid for because my employer put me on a new plan with better benefits. I told them to process the claim using my new insurance. They did not listen and used the incorrect information from my old plan. The health plan should not be paying for a claim this way. This was my first and last time I go here for any blood work. If they send you here from across the street from the hospital or urgent care go somewhere else.

The person who did my x-rays had to double check some things, but even with that it was still a super quick process. What I didn't like was that the person who checked me in apparently, despite giving them my insurance card, didn't input that information. So I had to pay out of pocket for the treatment ($600), which maybe isn't a lot, but as a student working part-time, it sure felt like a lot of money. I would just say watch and make sure that they actually do everything correctly because if not, you might end up fighting with your insurance for reimbursement for almost a year.

Medical neglect, retaliation, patient abandonment - then they denied my record amendment…read more John Muir Hospital engaged in a sustained pattern of medical neglect, retaliation, and constructive abandonment that caused catastrophic, permanent harm. What they did: · My primary care physician refused timely follow-up for a deteriorating condition, explicitly prioritizing new patients over existing urgent care. When I complained, they labeled my complaint "bullying" and escalated me to administrators - then encouraged me to "seek other care" while I was in acute medical distress, without referral or transition plan. They ignored ER findings and specialist documentation, refused to diagnose or treat, and repeatedly demanded I return to work with no medication or plan - directly causing loss of FMLA and disability benefits. By April 2024, they had constructively abandoned me: no discharge, no referral, no notice - just appointment schedules showing zero availability for six months. When I requested to amend my medical records, they denied it without legal justification and told me to schedule an appointment that didn't exist. John Muir is dangerous. Do not trust them with your life.
