Out of my 24 years of life, I've gotten my nails professionally done maybe a handful of times. With this being said, it's always been at a random location, and the last few times I've gone was here. I came all the way from Indy, because Danny does such a great job and it's a great meeting place to hang with my ladies. I tried the dip polish today, and I don't think I'll ever go back. I might just have to start making this a monthly trip since I am so happy and impressed with how they turned out. I was unsure about square nails (since they're my natural nails) but I figured Danny knew best, and sure enough, he did! The spa is upholding protection rules for COVID such as sanitizing stations and asking customers to wash hands and keep on a mask for the duration of their treatment as well as having plexiglass/plastic barriers between customers and technicians. Overall, I thought my service was great! The prices are reasonable and my nails came out looking great! The man who did my nails was precise and took really good care of my sensitive nail beds and the women who did my pedicure was very sweet about not letting me leave until they were dry! My only complaint is that they do not use clean tools. I noticed that the same pumice stone that was used for my pedicure was used on the person after me, none of the dremel tips were changed out, and the buffer was well worn. read more

I just moved to Muncie so I'm trying to find a new nail salon. This will definitely not be it. I get normal color all the time and it has never looked like this. I have acrylics so I got a fill and my toes painted. Both look horrible and they cut my fingers in multiple places with the drill. When I was moving from getting my nails done to go to the chair to get my toes painted, they were getting mad at the fact that I didn't know where they were pointing. She painted my toes super thick and kept messing them up when she would try to put my shoes on. read more

I will not be returning to this nail salon. I have some mixed emotions towards the salon. The young man who did my toes did an amazing job and was very kind, but when it came to my nails it was a different story. I showed them a picture of an ombré nail that fades to black and they said they couldn't do it so I decided to just pick a random color. Love my color Btw. Once the lady started to work on my nails I noticed the paint was uneven and there was hair or fuzz in my nails. I kept trying to say something but I was just told to put my hand in the dryer. Went in on a Sunday afternoon for a gel manicure on my short nails and I received the worst paint job I've ever received. I don't know if it was because they got busy while I was in the seat or if this is a pattern (this was my second time and the gel manicure I received then wasn't great either; there was dust all in the paint that they could've prevented with a clean table and didn't care to fix when I mentioned it. I returned again because of the affordable price). Needless to say, I won't be back. The price isn't worth having your nails look like this and I'm not too picky. Was in the mood to treat myself with a pedicure -- and as I've just moved back to Muncie after 8-ish years away, I wasn't really sure where to go. However, after so many trips to Tire Barn lately, I noticed this place across Wheeling in the shopping plaza. I just showed up without an appointment, which for a Tuesday evening was fine. There were three other women getting worked on when I showed up, but they got me in a massage chair while I was waiting. One thing that really impressed me while I was there was that they knew most of their clients. Knew about their families, about what was going on in their lives. And to me, that's an awesome thing when a local business cares about members of the community. Makes me want to keep going there so I can be a part of that. Color selection is in the back, not a massively huge selection. Mostly OPI and China Glaze. No Essie here. The massage chairs were nice -- in good shape and worked fine. My technician was nice, even figured out how to work around my ticklishness. He took care of the dead skin and was fairly careful around a blister I had on my toe. I decided to also get a manicure while I was there, because why not. My tech did my nails right there in the pedicure chair -- which honestly I didn't mind because it meant more minutes enjoying the massage feature. His leg and arm massage where ok, nothing special. He didn't shape my nails much, but I'd also trimmed them myself a few days ago, so there wasn't much work to do. Also, I don't really care about that too much. I think I was there for maybe 40-45 minutes total. $35 for the mani-pedi. They accepted tip on the card. Also, because I didn't see this information posted anywhere online... They're open until 8pm all week -- closed on Sundays though. I didn't pay attention to when they open in the morning though. read more

I needed to get my nails done for a wedding, but I'm not from Muncie so I had no idea where to go. I saw the sign and stopped by because it was getting close to closing time (it was 6:45 and they close at 8). I went in and asked if they would have time to do both a pedicure and a full gel set, and Diane assured me that it would be fine. A male tech did my pedicure. My feet were in really bad shape because I haven't gotten a pedicure since before the summer, and he did a great job at getting them back in shape. I have had 2 foot surgeries, so I have some very sensitive scars and he was wonderful about avoiding them. The one negative thing I have to say was that the massage chair was a huge disappointment. It had virtually no power behind it, and the different settings made no difference in the effect. Diane did my full set, and she was wonderful. We had a great conversation, and she made sure she did exactly what I wanted, from the roundness of the tip to the exact design I wanted. I apologized for making them stay open late to finish my nails (it was 8:20 by the time we were done), and she assured me that it was no problem. At $75 for a pedicure and full gel set with a design, it was the least I have ever spent, and the service was great. read more

I had an event at this nail salon with my sorority and it was so organized. I loved the services and they completely shut down the salon so all our girls could get in. We had a total of 105 people going in and out of the building but they were amazing. I definitely think our sorority is going to have some more events there. 10/10! read more

For some reason I was suspicious of the cleanliness of the tools they use for pedicures since the guy did a rinse on his set before beginning, but I let it go. BIG MISTAKE. Three days later I Just spent 5 hours in the ER, got 7 shots in my toe, drained fluid, 2 antibiotics and a prescription pain med for an infection. There is something to be said for nail salons that use packaged tools and open them up in front of you. I will NEVER return to this salon. You have been warned. Cleanliness matters. read more

This is a family owned salon (mother, father, and son). It was very clean and they used all new products when doing my pedicure. The son is very personable and gave quality customer service. Definitely will come back and recommend that other people visit. Services are reasonably priced as well!! Since there are only 3 people giving services (mother, father, and son) it gets overwhelming when a lot of walk-ins happen. A few customers had to be told to come back or schedule an appointment because the owners didn't want them to wait for a long time before being serviced. With that being said definitely CALL AHEAD and arrange an appointment. I was able to get one same day by calling around 9am and go a spot for 11am. Based on prior positive reviews by fellow Yelpers, I decided to drop-in American Nail Spa for a pedicure. However, my experience didn't match those of previous reviewers. A male nail tech did my pedicure in less than 30 minutes. The shape of my toenails was inconsistent and no base coat was used, just 2 coats of color and a top coat. Not surprisingly, the polish began to chip off within 1.5 weeks (it normally lasts 4 weeks). The pedicure cost $20, but wasn't worth more than $5, since that's what my local pet store charges for a nail trim (which is all I got out of it). I would not return. read more

Very clean, but awful service! The male technician did NOT do as I asked and would not stick to what I wanted. He picked clashing colors. I wanted 1 color on all my nails except on an accent nail. He took it upon himself to pick two colors: gold and green. I do not like gold or green. I am going somewhere else to get my nails redone. All of my nails are uneven. He made my skin bleed from grinding it down so hard. He was rude and just wanted to get the F$%^ out of work! He FACETIMED his family while he was doing my nails!!!!
