I've been going here for a looong time and never have had one complaint till today. I got a new nail stylist I believe by the name Emma or Emily and I was extremely dissatisfied. I got dip nail and she coated them more than 15 times. They feel so heavy and thick. And the colors I had picked out turned out to be so much darker than I wanted considering she kept coating it on. Didn't even clean under them when they were done so I have flakes of polish from my last gel set still under them. She acted annoyed when I would make a suggestion about something I wanted differently.. also told me they can't do any French tip color beside white which I know is not true. She also seemed like she was in an extreme rush when I asked her to file my nails a little more or shape them more.. but didn't have a probably taking a long time to coat them as much as she could. There were a couple nails that had a dip in them and she noticed and tried to fix it then just gave up and left 3 of my nails with holes in the gel. She also filed my bare skin and left me with 2 cuts on one of my fingers. I also told a friend about it who also goes there and she said she had Emma do her nails before and had an extremely similar experience. Don't think I'll be coming back as sad as it is. This place was highly recommended and when I looked at the reviews I was excited to try it out. The lady who did my nails was nice, but she rushed my nails and seemed to be a little judgmental. She painted over cotton and hair fibers, she didn't prep the nails properly and she rushed me in and out. She said I didn't need anything done to my cuticles and I didn't need the full manicure. Like I mentioned she rushed it. I was done with my gel nails in 20 minutes and they did not look great at all. The colors didn't match the swatches, but I was told in natural light it would look how I envisioned. It didn't. I asked for a deep burgundy color and a silver glitter on my ring finger. As you can see from the photos, it's not a deep burgundy nor is it a beautiful bright silver glitter. It's more of a gray glitter. The application had MAJOR flaws. My nails had uneven bumps from where the polish wasn't properly layered and less than a week later the gel polish is peeling right off. I've had gel polish last for many many weeks and this is highly unusual. Once we were finished, I had notice that the top coat didn't seem to fully seal and the bumps were not only able to be felt but they were visible. I would've asked for them to be fixed, but she was already with another client and I didn't have the extra time for them to be soaked off and redone. I'm just overall disappointed as I was really looking forward to coming to this salon. I wish my experience matched the reviews and the recommendation. Update: I have lowered my rating to 1 from a 2. So in response to the response I received, the reservation was not under my name, it was under the brides. I was never asked to sign in or put my name anywhere and was immediately met by the nail tech to go sit and do my nails. I didn't know not having a my name written down meant I never came into your salon or was serviced. Again as I said I didn't make the reservation and not one person asked for my name. This is not a "wrong location" situation. This is you wanting a review removed because it makes you look bad and it should. The quality of what I received and how I was treated is not an experience anyone should have to go through do better and stop attempting to gaslight clients because they leave a bad review. This place literally charges too much for any service they provide. I met this young lady who got a full set acrylic and brought her own nail polish with her. They charged her $40. It also depends on who does your service. If the owner does your nails, when she puts in that she did it, it brings it up $10. So her acrylic set was orgiballg $30 and it went up to $40 afterwards. I know this because I sat there and watched it happen. Anyways, my pedicure was $30 and it was a basic pedicure, nothing special. I chose a regular nail polish and the massage was fine. For salons in Muncie, this is most definitely a step above the rest. You must have an apt, which is not the norm in town. By having an apt you will not wait for a nail tech or spend time waiting for others to finish. On the flip side, schedule out your apt for a week out minimum. The price point is also higher than most other salons in muncie. I've only gotten pedicures here but it will run you $45 up, where as other places in town are $25. You're definitely paying for the atmosphere as I dont think any of their products or techs do anything the other salons don't do. You can do upgrades like longer massage, hot stones (I highly recommend this), and full foot masks. I've had 2 different techs and both did a great, detailed job.. I'm definitely the type to also speak up in the nail salon and it was all "it's because of your nail beds" lol why doesn't my regular nail tech say the same and do the same?? I showed them the picture before MAKING sure that they were able to do it, for them to get half way through and tell me they couldn't so I had to sit and find a different design that was similar. I love that they take appointments and are usually running on time, which is sometimes hard to find with nail salons. The staff have been hit or miss, so I'm not sure who I am going to get or who is going to do the best job. I love this nail salon! They stick to their appointment times, which is never my experience at any other Muncie nail salon. I've sat for hours at other places with my nails soaking while waiting. I've never waited two minutes past my appointment time. While they do charge slightly more than other Muncie options, I would rather pay a little more and know I'm not wasting hours of my time. I got my nails done here by Susan, who I'm pretty sure is the manager, and there were many things wrong with them. She put gel over the nails and got a lot of debris stuck underneath it and now the gel is chipping. She also was too rough with the nail drill and ended up hurting my cuticles. She also did not disinfect equipment and the surrounding area after customers switched. read more

La Bella is very cute and clean on the inside! However, I have gotten my nails done several other times at various places and here at La Bella was by far the worst set of nails that I have ever gotten. I got nails that look like they should have cost me $20 for $50. My nail technician's name was Susan. Unfortunately Susan was by far the worst nail tech that I have ever had. She was rude and unkind and was in such a hurry she did not do a good job what so ever. She began off with filing my nails and on several of my fingers she filed my skin around my nails and made my skin bleed. She never once apologized or anything all she said was you are too sensitive. She then asked me what I wanted done with my nails. I told her acrylic dip nails and she said no you are too sensitive. Instead of her suggesting something else we could do, she shot down every idea that I had and kept telling me no. So she proceeded to just do what ever she wanted. Near the end when she was filing my nails she filed my skin again and made my skin bleed for a second time. She again never apologized or anything she just shook her head at me as if it was my fault. Susan gave me the worst experience possible at La Bella. I will never go back there again especially not for Susan. read more
