Like any dispensary or alcohol store, bring your ID. You'll need it a few times wherever you go. Unfortunately, there have been an increasing amount of robberies in places like these all over the city, so the safety protocols for the employees have become stricter. "Seattle violent crime hits 15-year high," according to Seattle Times. They updated that on Feb. 7, 2023. Be smart and stay safe.
American Mary is a wonderful dispensary in a delightful part of town. There's always a parking spot along the side streets somewhere. The people are friendly, and the store is dog-friendly. I've personally taken both of mine multiple times, and they were given a fresh bowl of water, pets, and treats. There is AC inside, a commodity here, believe it or not. Very nice in the summer. They have an excellent selection for their store size and have various products for any preference. I'm a dab pen girl, so I usually go in for carts. I've also purchased some edibles, drinks, and joints.
If you get carts, save the receipt, wrapping, containers--literally everything--so that if it breaks or stops working randomly, you can return it. The catch, even then, is that there has to be over 50% of wax left in the cart. But they do offer returns. If you register an account with them, they can help keep track of the receipts. The cartridges available in the range of $35 and up have not had any problems manufacturing-wise with me. The higher in price, the higher in quality.
They have fair prices and good deals for carts here. Sometimes places charge more because they're in a more wealthy neighborhood, and their tax is more, so keep that in mind. You're also paying for safety if you're a young adult woman like me who often goes alone (which is why I bring my dogs sometimes).
The joints I bought needed to be re-lit more often than usual...but that was probably something on my end. They were nice. The edibles I tried were gummies, crackers, chocolate, and cookies. All interesting and very different from one another. My least fav was the "fire-crackers." They looked like Cheez-Its, not that spicy and noticeable compared to others I've tried. Remember, totally subjective here. If I'm going for an edible, I think I'll stick with homemade-looking edibles or gummies. I could see their appeal if I was throwing a party and needed a bowl of edible crackers, or some thing fun like that.
The drinks I've taken were the shots, each 100mg. Some have 110mg, but I think they've begun to catch on. The other beverages have the same potency but are just more diluted. I like the shots because they're fruit flavored, and I pour them into my hydro flask for the day. I do this with Indica-dominant products sometimes because I have an overzealous mind. If you're the opposite and need energy, then go with Sativa.
Washington has a cap on the potency. They're only allowed to sell 10mg edibles in packs of 10.
They only have one ATM that does charge a service fee and I've had to wait because of complications with it. If you have a particular bank they may give you that money back. I think mine does, I have Wells Fargo.
Anyways, I like it here and I was bored. Hope this helps
