Waited a couple years(*) gave them another shot. But the website is bait and switch again, don't be fooled. Today is now the 7th time I have come to the store and paid something other than what was on advertised on the website. That's after they apologized for the first 6 times, and they did it again. They advertised one item at 40% off, so we stocked up. Then the reciept charged me 15% off instead. I went back to the store, where they were giggling at me the entire time, and the dude behind the counter calculated my discount, at 40% off, or -19.20 a piece, for a total of $38 back. Instead, they gave me $24. I counted my money in my car and realized they still owed me money. I went back in, and the dude told me that a) he wasn't even supposed to help me, but did anyway, so I should be grateful for anything i get (wow, thanks) 2) he wouldn't help me because he "can't even with me" 3) that I should never come back 4) then he gaslit me to my face about them giggling at me. Kudos to you for mocking an old man. Great job there. Bottom line: At this point, I am stupid for continuing to return here and give these people a chance. Don't be stupid like me. There are plenty of options nearby. I have never had an experience like this at REEF, or the Bakeree. If Seattle Cannabis Co. advertises a price at the site and the discount seems "too good to be true," then theyre ripping you off. This is one of my regular joints. I like that they update their Leafly menu and their discounts are great if they line up for what you need. The shop is a little small so it feels a little more rushed than I generally prefer my shops, but the staff has never made me feel that way. I wish their cartridge selection was a little more predictable, but overall, a solid choice for a LCS. read more

I came here while on a weekend getaway to Seattle. My friend lives right up the road so she suggested we come to this dispensary since it was close. Staff was super friendly and helpful and the store carried a variety of edibles, flower, and more. Since I'm from Ohio, I thought the prices were incredibly cheap and affordable. I used to come in this place all the time when I first moved into the neighborhood, but as I got familiar with the area, I realized they were far from the cheapest and hardly ran good specials. After a whole of spending a lot of money here, I took a step back then decided to go in one day and buy something. As usual, I tipped the budtender, but realized I forgot to get a lighter so I went back in the store and asked for a lighter, but I was a little short on cash after tipping the budtender. My only, option was to go to the ATM or just buy it from somewhere that accepts debit. When I told the budtender how much cash I had, she seem like she was going to help me, but then the manager or leader (some black lady) said something to her and she was like "sorry i can't help you now", and I learned two things that day. Never tip again and never go in there again. That Lady was rude I don't like rude customer service I refuse to support a business that I know is going to pay a rude employee. The owner would know me as soon as he sees me that's how often I used to come in there but I don't **** with it no more. That whole situation with the lighter was a super upset and it was a moment that showed me no matter how much money I put into that business it's still a business and they're not your friends and they don't really **** with you. The owner is cool but I'm sorry two stars for me man that was just unacceptable to treat a customer that spent so much money on weedd in that business that way over a $2 lighter. This place might not have as many products that I've seen at other dispensaries but the amount of helpfulness that the team provided for my new-to-dispensaries friend was awesome! I've experienced the staff there as super friendly and knowledgeable. Many stores I've found tend to be overwhelming with so many choices- the reason I love this place is because they make it super easy on me and I've always been super happy with their awesome suggestions. This is the very first recreational marijuana retail store I have visited. I was honestly impressed with the overall experience. I bought 4 products, 3 flower products and one edible product. The flowers we "granddaddy purps" from Inflorsecence, UW purple from sky high gardens and purple alien OG from Sub X. All amazing except the GDP it was definitely a purple strain but not GDP. The GDP has a distinct "grapey" smell and taste I didn't find here. This is normally one of my top 5 strains off all time. But the colors and flavors were exquisite compared to most strains I find at medical dispensaries. We also got some brownies a 6 pack for 26$ so today is couch day. My girlfriend says they are really strong. The store itself was immaculate. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. If your busting Seattle this area isn't a busy area. If you live in west Seattle you can get in an out in minutes. The business is blocks from the exit to the West Seattle bridge off 1st Ave. go check it out. read more

The cashier who helped me tonight made my entire interaction extremely uncomfortable. She made several comments regarding a conversation I was having on my phone prior to being helped by her, while in the store. I felt that the snarky uncensored comments the cashier made were completely inappropriate and very unprofessional. I wish I would have gotten the name of the cashier who helped me tonight (12/21) just before 6:30pm, she was sitting at the furthest register to the right of the door. The skinny, white-skinned girl with the long straight blonde hair; I feel like you should never feel comfortable enough to make any type of comment in relation to a conversation that you weren't welcomed into. As I attempted several times to move on with the transaction and continue with my purchase she continued to speak on the personal conversation I was having. In my opinion it would be good practice to train staff to remain present in their job duties rather than inserting themselves in the personal matters of the customers. read more

Seattle was the first city I visited that had legal cannabis and I was very curious to see how the system worked. I found the store by driving by on 1st avenue and I drove in to check it out. First of all, regardless of your perspective of Cannabis use or legality, this is one very impressive store. We're talking extremely professional. it reminded me of going to an upscale wine store. The staff were amazing in their knowledge and approach (Very consultative). I know nothing about this industry or much about the product and within 10 minutes I had the lay of land. I had no idea there were different approaches to the use of cannabis or the way they were formulated (the only appropriate word I can use). While this is a recreational shop, the staff, while being clear they can't provide medical advice, know pretty much everything anyone would need to get the right product for the right purpose. Visiting the store helped an old guy like me to get the "vibe" of the industry and the approach and I will say that it helped me understand how the cannabis industry has a place in our society. This place is great! My friend randomly had sent me their website when I said I was going to be in Seattle and I'm grateful he did. They're really professional and their selection is amazing. They have a good price range, lots of affordable strains and I saw some top shelf stuff too. I believe the guy who helped me was named Max and he made some really solid suggestions when I mentioned my back problems and previous issues I've had with sativa strains. I feel like this would be a really good place to go if you don't know a lot about weed and have a lot of questions, some of the dispensaries and clinics Ive been to can be a little intimidating. Not the case here! Everything you need to know is pretty laid out for you with labeling as far as strain info goes for those who might be looking for something specific. They don't take cards but they have an ATM there, so even if you only have debit/credit it's not a problem. I really feel like I got my moneys worth. This is my go to spot for all my chill out supplies! I was greeted by a friendly door man who explained the layout of the store. Which helped greatly because this place is huge! I was helped by a budtender named Jessie who was adorable and extremely knowledgeable. She really seemed to love what she does and cares about the product she's selling. I got to smell a number of wonderful strains Jessie suggested, and found the smell jars to be very helpful in my decision process. I left with some flower, edibles, and prerolled joints. More than I'd come in for but definitely no complaints here! They also were playing some sweet hip hop jams when I was in. Bonus! read more

I took the weed back and told them they shorted me 1.6 grams... half the 8th... and they told me "there's nothing we can do about it" despite them selling the 1/2 empty weed and getting all of their money. Nice shop in the Industrial District. Very clean and the set up is made for easy visual shopping across display case......I appreciate that. Prices are also competitive, not long ago you could get a gram infused pre rolls of ANY kind at 10 bucks a pop. Their prices for 8ths and quarters are comparable to other shops in the Industrial District- 10%-15% cheaper than North Seattle or the Eastside. Had a security guard at the new Rainier location confiscate my new, legal Washington ID because he didn't realize that newer ID was made from thicker plastic. Told me I had to talk to the police if I wanted it back. I had to wait outside for over an hour and literally call the cops for him to own up to his mistake and give it back. Never coming here again. I was super excited to patronize the shop on Rainier! Not only is it in a prime location that I consider "home" but it was managed by a personal friend who I know is VERY knowledgeable in the cannabis industry and heavily connected to the community they are in. That location is perfect and even though I live way south, was willing to drive to support this specific store and share it with my almost 10,000 member platform. However...... Right off the bat I noticed that they had very little interest in engaging with the community they are in. It was baffling to me why this store didn't thrive right out of the gate. Now I know why... No community engagement or respect, shoddy business practices, B/POC make up the majority of their employees but they show favoritism to their non-BPOC employees (even on their IG, as of today 12/10/18 there's only one employee highlight, someone who probably represents the customer base they WANT, definitely NOT the diverse customer base that is readily available to them in the community they should be serving). The weed is good but not worth traveling that far for that alone when I can go to several other shops closer to me with better points and discounts and that don't cause harm to the community they are in. As a Seattleite born and raised, I personally love "plugging" local faves and was excited to share this shop with my large platform but I'm glad I trusted my intuition and waited. As someone who is very socially involved and community driven, it's important to me that what I share with my community has integrity and respect for that community. Seattle Cannabis on Rainier does not. It only makes sense to go here if you live around the corner. Otherwise, hard pass. read more
