American Marble in my opinion has unethical business practices. Carol has terrible customer service and was not truthful. After a long remodel, I think of the many companies we worked with they are one of the worst. If you do your research a lot of other contractors, don't recommend them either. They lost remnants that were to be used and promised for another part of our project. If you are working through your contractor with American Marble, beware. You are the customer paying, but they treat you terrible and are not honest. Their inventory is inaccurate, which led to a financial loss to us and a delay in our project. They will not reimburse you or work with you on any mistakes they make including inventory errors. There are many other stone fabricators out there who are honest and good. There is no need to do business with a company that doesn't stand behind their word and looses product. Bill, the owner knows our phone number, address and email and he never reached out to us. So his post looks like he is trying to resolve things, but there has been no effort on his part to uphold good customer service as he stated he has upheld for your years. read more

I cannot recommend American Marble after two years of working with them and spending thousands of dollars with them. Carol has no customer service skills and lost inventory three times that we paid for. She has more loyalty to her dishonest contractor clients over the people actually paying and receiving the work. After our issues, we have talked to many other contractors and people in this trade, and they would not use American Marble again. To work for this company as long as Carol with her brash attitude and lack of ethics, she must be related to the owner. read more

American Marble provided services through IKEA. The two corner conditions were talked about in the field and the measurement tech stated they would do 90° corners. No Submittals were received for review or confirmation. The pieces were fabricated and installed. I was then asked to inspect and noted the corners were not correct. After numerous correspondence American Marble refused to replace the piece and would only agree to glue on another piece to fill the gap. Not an acceptable solution at all. We used American Marble for our Caeserstone kitchen counter installation and they did a perfect job! I'm so happy with it! The whole process was made very easy with Allison on the office keeping tabs on the job and coordinating it with everything else happening with my renovation. Hunter came to measure for the slabs and was beyond thorough, so professional and sweet and totally knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and I felt so good about the upcoming install because of him. Other parts of the renovation I have been stressed about so this was a relief. Then David, Javier, and Victor showed up with the slabs and installed them with precision, care, and they were also total pros and so nice! We just got our Kitchener remolded and American Marble handled the counter. First the product was perfectly cut and great quality, but what real set them apart was David and Robbie the installers. I'm a little OCD so the littlest issue really bother me. These guys did a perfect job with the instillation, fitting and clean up. The place looks like a palace. We got 2 quartz counter tops and a HUGE island Dekton countertop installed today. EXACTLY AS ORDERED!!! The crew, Peter, Reuben and Abel, with assistance from Juan and Jonas was professional, and friendly! They explained as they worked, what they were doing. They cleaned up when they were done. I'm sorry to hear the other rater having an issue with their counter tops. While none of us knows exactly what went on with that job because we weren't there, I wonder if there were other contractors involved that owner may have hired that bear partial or full responsibility? Maybe the senior citizen bears responsibility for not taking advice that may have been given? I would personally use American Marble again, have given their name to several folks, and will continue to do so. We've used American Marble on two different homes in 2004 and 2008 and are quite pleased with the quality of their work and their prices. Our kitchen cabinets were installed correctly by licensed contractors and in one house we had a custom island built to hold a 4' x 8' slab of 2" thick granite. It was so heavy they sent 4 guys to lift it into place for installation. There was a sink right in the middle of that island that American Marble installed and it's still looking good 5 years later. Our contractor was a sticlker about supports because that was his job, he built the island. American told us we also needed supports (corbels) for a portion that was to overhang by a foot so we put in 4 to be safe. read more

If you're a homeowner don't bother going to this place. Their website says "Visit our showroom" so I drove over an hour this morning to do so to look at remnants of quartz for a countertop. When I arrived, I was told I needed an appointment. I asked it they could fit me in any time today since I had driven so far and they said no. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they were too busy. read more

We purchased our counters (quartz) at Ikea and American Marble installed them. The process could not have been more simple. The kitchen planner at Ikea quoted the price, we paid, American Marble came out 9 days later, at our request as we were waiting for sinks and faucets to arrive, (although AM was ready to come measure immediately) to measure for the template, and two weeks later (within the time frame quoted by Ikea AND the person who measured), we have beautiful, perfectly cut, polished, and fit counters. The person in the office, Shannon, was pleasant and super easy to work with. The installers, Juan and Jeremy, couldn't have been better. The poor reviews baffle me and I consider myself to be a very detailed, dare I say it, picky, person. When it's time to renovate the main house kitchen (within the next year), we will be using American Marble. read more

Overdue update: I'm adding a star to my previous rating because in the end I love the finished product.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have also purchased an IKEA kitchen and went with the installer recommended by them. WORST DECISION EVER!!!! Not only were they 2 weeks out for delivery, once they came to install the countertops they were short a half inch from the wall. When I asked them to correct the error they took another week and brought the same countertop that was incorrect and installed it!!! Unfortunately I could not be present for the second installation because of work, but as soon as I got home I had to take pictures with a measuring tape to show the overhang on the counters were not the same. Completely unprofessional. Could not be more displeased. As a countertop company it should not be hard to pull out some measuring tape and write down a number on a piece of paper correctly. Now, I am still waiting for them to correct the issue to be resolved. It has been a month since they were supposed to have the counters installed correctly and I am still here waiting unable to use my kitchen! BEWARE: They do not make mistakes their first priority for the client, they schedule to their convenience. PLEASE hire another party to install countertops if you buy an IKEA kitchen! It is not worth the time for corrections or lack of customer service you will receive through American Marble. read more

American Marble doesn't have the fastest turn around for install but the team that came out did an oustanding job and was worth the wait. The dealt with unlevel cabinets by fixing the height (ikea cab) even after the large peninsula counters were on top. Then another section was slightly crooked so the fixed that too on the spot. They made sure everything was right before they left and were very communicative throughout. read more

Very poor quality workmanship on the installation. I brought this to the attention of the owner and the Owner Mr. Kammerer defended the work saying: "This is a perfectly acceptable installation. (I would have it installed like this in my own house)" Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. The sink is held up with four tiny screws and some scrap wood made with paint stir sticks that they pulled out of the trash to use as shims. The front edge opening was cut by drilling a series of holes and then the material was chipped away and broken out with a screw driver. The sink didn't fit after their first attempt at installation so they chiseled away at it until it fit instead of removing the counter top and reinstalling it properly. I didn't realize that the installer was doing this until it was too late. They damaged my cabinetry on the inside and the overall quality of the install is terrible. There is nothing holding up my sink but some caulking that is guaranteed to fail. The plywood under the countertop was chipped away and now there isn't adequate support under the stone counter. Mr. Kammerer also stated that the plastic drain and trap were designed to carry the load and support the sink.. This is absolutely wrong and I suspect they know it. A Plastic drain and sink trap is NOT designed to carry any load. I gave American Marble the opportunity to correct this before making this post. Instead they defended their workmanship as adequate and then threatened me with a mechanics lien instead of fixing the shoddy work. I must assume that this is the best quality that this company offers and they are incapable or unwilling to do better work. You should assume that your installation will be the same if you use this company. By the way. Our original sales person Mellissa was very nice and helpful. She is the sole reason that we went with this company. American Marble was the highest quoted price and we still chose this company based on our experience with Mellissa. Thank you Mellissa for your help. Unfortunately your leadership above you has let you down. The other person I have been dealing with is "Terri". I think she is the one that is spear heading all of our issues with this company. Terry was very nasty and confrontational when my wife called attempting to rectify this situation. If I could give zero stars I would. I will finish our project with a company that values their relationships with their customers and takes pride in their workmanship. I purchased my counter top at IKEA (quartz woodlands) and American Marble installed, it took 3 weeks from measure to install due to the IKEA kitchen sale they are really busy. Had an issue with one of the pieces and had them return it. The great part is I reached out to them and they rescheduled for a day later with a brand new piece. I wanted to give a fair review, because they have quite a few negative ones and to me the measure of a company is if something is not right or a customer is not happy they fix it. And they did that and I'm happy and love my new counter top. read more

In hindsight we would probably not purchase our counter tops at IKEA using their vendor, American Marble. We would shop around for a company with good reviews on quality of product, installation and customer service. Pros: -We like the end product. It looks great. I do hope it holds up. -The onsite repair team was nice and worked hard. Cons: -We were told the countertops would be installed within 10 business days. Nobody ever called us to schedule the install date, so I had to call and be assertive about getting on their calendar. We did not get them until 12 business days later, which included an unplanned weekend of no countertops in our kitchen. -There was a deep gouge in one piece and a long scratch across the entire center island piece. -One piece was mis-measured so we had to come up with a creative 'fix' (for this one, the company was good in coming up with an agreeable solution) -The joint area that needed to be pieced together and caulked was not done very nicely. -Installers left a big oil stain in our driveway, as well as a scratch on our new cabinet. -AM agreed to pay for a new cabinet face. We sent them the receipt, they confirmed a check would arrive within 2 weeks, yet no check was sent. I called 3 weeks later at which point they mailed a check. I certainly understand that not everything always goes smoothly, mishaps occur, product is not always without defects... but the way a company handles these things is the test of a good company. Our assigned 'project manager' seemed to be attentive at first, but then it was like pulling teeth. Communication with us was disappointing and frustrating, and their internal communication between the office, the supervisor and the onsite workers was just as bad. When you pay several thousands of dollars for a product, you hope for a good product as well as good service; however overall, it was a pretty frustrating experience. read more

This has to be the worst company in existence. My wife was home during the installation & claims from various sources indicate that the employees are underpaid for what they do. The installation teams vary. Some are very skillful, while others seem to just be getting started. She said they had no proffessionalism what-so-ever. Almost as if they had NEVER worked on countertops their whole life. Then you got people yelling all over the place, like are you kidding me? Have you heard of "inside-voices." I get contstruction can be a nasty place, but cursing & using fowl language in someones household shouldn't be called for. And don't get me started on timing. They never called her to let her know they were on their way. It would have at least been coutious of them to give her a 30 minute heads up just to get ready or change into something more comfortable. She came out in her robes because you guys didn't give her a chance to change & she felt like the older guys were staring at her. By any chance do you guys know or have a mechanic? Because your lousy trucks leaked oil ALL OVER my driveway as you were pulling out. I am never hiring you guys for my countertops again and neither should you if you're reading this. American Marble did a fantastic job on our dream kitchen. Erica coordinated everything and was proactive in every aspect. She scheduled Adrian to do the templates once our cabinets were in. They were on schedule and on time. We went over all the aspects again regarding the type of edge, overhangs, etc and brought up details regarding sink cutouts, faucet placements, etc. Very thorough. American Marble returned 2 weeks later as scheduled and on time to install! Their professionalism and communication were terrific. While on-site, they took great care to wear masks and maintain social distance for our safety. One difficult aspect of the install was having the top flush with the window as it was a pass through window with stone outside as well. They nailed it perfectly and it looks great! The following morning as the plumber was putting in the faucets, we realized one of the wouldn't fit. We called American and they actually came out that same morning to accommodate!! American Marble's customer service person waited until 4 pm the afternoon before installation of the countertop to call and cancel the job. Reason: the fabrication deptment was backed up and the decided to delay our countertop for over another week's time. We waited 2 weeks for them just to come out to measure. Then supposedly another 2 weeks for installation. Horribly customer service and scheduling department. read more

What an amazing company. My family and I were revamping our kitchen when we came across American Marble and decided to have them do our counter tops. Everyone we spoke with was very helpful and the job was done quickly and we had no issues at any point. They left my house clean and with beautiful new counter tops. **update. Caesar stone sent out one of their own people who confirmed that the stone was not fabricated to their standards. He sanded down high traffic areas to their standard and the product has held up as it is supposed to. Product is great but fabrication was wrong.Please avoid American Marble at all costs. We had kitchen countertops purchased through Ikea and this is the company we were sent to. The quality of work is extremely poor and the material is defective. We went with Quartz based on how strong we were told it is. It has chipped over and over again. We are not hitting it hard with anything. I hit it with an empty paper bag and it chipped. American Marble said they will not do anything about it. They brought and installed a product I am quite sure is not the actual quartz we ordered. They are a bait and switch. Shannon, their customer service rep, will not do much in the way of customer service. I urge you to research as there are many other places to work with. read more

We recently had new granite countertops and a fireplace surround installed by American Marble. From the initial contact and meeting at their facilities,everything was extremely professional. The measurement process, although lengthy, was very thorough. They even returned to the house when one of the measurements was causing concern. A subsequent meeting at the facility was used to ensure that we were in agreement with how they were cutting the granite (a computer program allowed us to see all of the cuts and how each cut would be mated to the others) to ensure that we liked the design and flow for the pattern for both the countertops and the fire place. We discussed additional cuts for a table, etc , from the granite sections that were not being used. After that we were able to save some unused granite pieces. As for the demolition and installation, everything went smoothly. The workers coordinated with us all day as to any problems, desires and changes required. The demolitions/installation took just 2 days as originally scheduled. Thorough, courteous and professional. I would use them again and recommend them to others. read more

We recently purchased a home. The seller was a senior citizen who had remodeled the entire kitchen in 2010 using American Marble to install her kitchen counter tops. We purchased the home from her in 2012/13, escrow officially closing in 2013. The home inspector pointed out that the granite countertops that were installed were actually sinking due to the original installers of the countertops (American Marble)neglecting to place support under the sink. It appeared that the technician that installed the countertops from American Marble failed to secure underneath the kitchen sink, causing the entire sink to fall due to the weight of the marble. There are actual cracks all along the granite where it outlines the sink. The senior citizen was not aware that the sink had to be secure and of course signed off on the work upon job completion. That brings us to today. We contacted American Marble and sent them a series of pictures explaining that the countertops were sinking, as is the sink. Keep in mind that this less than 3 years from the original installation. American Marble refused to come out and accept responsibility. They claim their labor/workmanship is guaranteed for 1 year and our warranty had expired and that is their policy. They wanted to charge us over $200.00 to send someone out to take a look at the defect, and stated that they would not be willing to honor the warranty and any new work that needed to be done would be billed accordingly. The previous owner spent over $35,000 to remodel this kitchen. You would think that the countertops would last more than 34 months. Again, American Marble refused to honor their work and the faulty installation. Do not use this company! The only reason I gave them 1 star on this rating is because I didn't have a choice to not give a star! read more
